Partner: ACNNT Country: ROMANIA Name of the company: The Museum of Oltenia Website: www.muzeulolteniei.ro Ownership: Public Sector: Public
It is a public cultural institution which communicates and exposes spiritual and material testimonies of the existence and evolution of the human communities throughout time, as well as of the environment around them.
This museum not only brings proof about the past, but also stands as a testimony for the living love and the forever present interest for science and for the lands of this country.
Oltenia Museum currently operates in three divisions: - Department of Archaeology and History; - Department of Ethnography; - Department of Natural Sciences.
interview
Why did you chose this activity? 2 I have chosen the ethnographer curator profession for both, passion for traditional culture, as well as the perfect combination between scientific activities with the pedagogical ones.
The main purposes of the activity performed by the Museum of Oltenia Craiova are: education and culture.
interview
What aspect of conciliation between work and family life would you highlight of your company? 3 One of the aspect is that, although in the year 2007 I have had my baby, and I entered in maternity leave until the year 2009, I was allowed by the institution to return to work in less time than two years, and I had permission to upgrade, although I stayed home with my son for 8 months. Besides the right to be promoted, one of the measures taken by the government to encourage mothers to return to work was also a financial incentive (motivation). This motivation has been added to the monthly salary and I would like to mention that it was given by General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Dolj.
interview
Yes, I consider that these measures help the institution due to the fact that the absence of a curator for a longer period of time decreases the activities of the museum.
interview
How is the public health of your company?
5 How does your company solve the measures of conciliation? 6 Considering that, the Museum of Oltenia is a state public institution, the measures of conciliation are solved under a regulation, laws and decisions set by government and dictated by the Dolj County Council as our Loans Officer.
The public health is very important in a museum. Depends on it the rhythm and efficiency of the work.
interview
Could you tell me if you thought about implementing some measures of conciliation in the future?
Yes. One of the measures can be flexi-time, it is a form of organization that can assure a better balance between the job and family. Certainly there are enough employees who want a better balance between professional life and personal life, or they must face with specific obligations (being the only source of income in the family, having children, old or ill persons in care), but we, budgetary employees, don`t have relevant data about the prevalence of modern forms of organization of work in Romanian state institutions.
interview
Could you indicate the improvements involving its measures in the business project. 8 Do you think it is appropriate to promote these measures among the companies in your country? 9
Yes, I think it is appropriate to promote this measure, flexi-time in No, because these other institutions and companies in measures don`t exist yet, the country for a better efficiency of in the institution I belong. the employee in his activity.
