Phrase Search
Without quotes
If you enter the Keyword Business Research on Google without quotes, it will find matches for pages where The keywords Business and Research appear anywhere on the page Either together as a phrase or as separate words

With quotes
If you enter the Keyword Business Research on Google with quotes, it will find matches for pages where The keywords Business Research appear together as a phrase

Boolean Search
Default Boolean
Googles default Boolean is AND So, if you put the keywords Business Research in the Google Search Tab It will find matches for pages where both Business and Research are present

OR Modifier
If you want to search for pages which have either Revenue or Sales Put an OR (in capital letters) between the keywords So, in this case, you will use Revenue OR Sales Or, you can also use the modifier |, i.e. Revenue | Sales If you want to search for the sales of a particular company, say Red Bull then Use the search query as Red Bull (Revenue OR Sales)

Negation & Inclusion

Negation
If you want certain keywords to not appear in your search results, then Add a - minus sign just before the keyword has to be excluded Lets say, we want to search for pages on OLED Mobile without the keyword Dolcera Then we put the search query as OLED Mobile -Dolcera It will find matches for pages where the phrase OLED Mobile is present but Dolcera is absent

Explicit Inclusion
As told earlier, Googles Default Boolean is AND But it ignores certain words based on context like a, the, of, year etc. You can force Google to include a certain word in the results by using the + Plus Operator So if you want to search for profit for Red Bull, its better to use the query as Red Bull +profit

Synonyms
~ (tilde) Operator
~ (tilde) operator can be used to search for synonyms Add a ~ sign just before the keyword whose all possible uses or synonyms you want to be included in the search results Lets say, we want to search for the Revenues of Red Bull Then we put the search query as Red Bull ~Revenues It will find matches for pages where the phrase Red Bull is present and either of Revenues, Sales, Income, etc. is present

Number Range
.. (Two Dots) Operator
If you want your results to fall inside a certain number range, then Add .. between the two numbers that define the range Lets say, we want to search for the Revenues of Welch Allyn for any of the years between 2000-2010 Then we put the search query as Welch Allyn ~Revenues +2000..2010 It will find matches for pages where the phrase Welch Allyn is present and the numbers in the range 2000-2010 is absent

Word Wildcards
* (Asterisks) Operator
The wildcard * as the substitute for one full word So if we put our search query as India * Pakistan, then It will find matches for pages where the phrase India and Pakistan or India beats Pakistan, etc. are present If we want to search for two missing words, then use two ** instead

Title Operators
intitle:
intitle: searches for your keywords only inside the title of the web pages So if we put our search query as intitle:india united It will find matches for pages which has either of the two keywords India or United or both in the title of the web pages shown in the search result

allintitle:
allintitle: searches for all your keywords only inside the title of the web pages So if we put our search query as allintitle:india united It will find matches for pages which has both the keywords India and United in the title of the web pages shown in the search result

intitle and allintitle are very useful when searching for documents and pdfs, and can work in association with filetype For exmaple, allintitle:identify new market filetype:pdf

Other Title Operators

intext:
intext:term restricts results to documents containing term in the text. For example, Red Bull intext:revenues will return documents that mention the word revenues in the text, and mention the names Red and Bull anywhere in the document (text or not).

allintext:
allintitle: restricts results to documents containing all term in the text

Other Title Operators

inanchor:
inanchor: will restrict the results to pages containing the query terms you specify An anchor is the description that is associated with the url. For example: espncricinfo.com has the anchor Live Cricket Scores

allinanchor:
Its same as allintext is for intext

inurl:
inurl: will restrict the results to documents containing that word in the URL For example, inurl:annual site:www.redbull.com searches for pages on Red Bull website in which the URL contains the word annual

allinurl:
allinurl: will restrict the results to documents containing all the words mentioned in the search query in the URL

Some Other Stuff

related:
related:url.com will list web pages that are similar to the url.com For example, related:dolcera.com will return the list of web pages which Google finds to be using similar keywords as Dolcera Not surprisingly, Evalueserve is the top result for Dolcera

cache:
Cache:dolcera.com will display Googles cached version of Dolcera.com, instead of the current version of the page

Google as a Converter
If you put 1000 INR in USD, then Google will do the currency conversion automatically If you enter your search query as 100 INR + 20 USD + 30 Euro, then it will provide the result in a single currency The same can be used for all related units
