Self Accountability in Islam

What is Self Accountability??


a person takes an account of his personal deeds

himself must demonstrate that the performance is in obedience to the command of Allah Almighty Individuals are only trustees and that accountability is ultimately due to Allah. purpose of the religious audit is to assure everybody that Allahs laws are being followed

Goal Setting
God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, Most

Compassionate, gives us the following Clear Guidance: S6, V164: Your goal in the end is towards God. S42, V15: God will bring us together, and to Him is (our) final goal. S40, V3: There is no god but He: to Him is the Final Goal S53 V42: to thy Lord is the Final Goal. This means that a Muslim sets goals for himself/herself that are in harmony with our accountability in the Hereafter

There should be harmony and balance between

all of the following goals: (a) Financial Goals (b) Religious Goals (c) Intellectual Goals (d) Social Goals (e) Family Goals (f) Personal Goals (h) Physical goals

Actions and Choices


Should not talk ill of others and dont abuse others but

rather you should be a role model. Lead a balanced life i.e. give proper time to your prayers as well as social activities. You should not fight with others on petty issues but rather should be caring and helpful to others. who (the righteous) give to charity during the good times, as well as the bad times. They are suppressors of anger, and pardoners of the people. GOD loves the charitable." (3:134)
Whenever you do something it should be free from evil

thoughts. Even if you are not happy you should have a positive attitude and should give kind gestures. "When greeted with a greeting, you shall respond with a better greeting or at least an equal one. GOD reckons all things." (4:86)

Responsibilities
Should be honest and fair in your business

dealings. The truthful and trustworthy businessman will be in the company of Prophets, saints and martyrs on the Day of Judgment. (Darimi, Tirmidhi) Keep surroundings, home and workplace clean. Removing any harm from the road is charity (that will be rewarded by Allah)." (Bukhari) Islam preaches a balanced pattern of consumption. Luxury and over-consumption is condemned. Whenever you make a promise fulfill it. Fulfill your promise because you will be asked about it one the day judgment. (Surah-al-Asr)
