Introduction

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahiwabarakatuh. Good evening to all my friends

and especially to my lecturer, Madam Busyra Hayati binti Md Akhir. How are you
today? I hope all of you are fine and in a good situation. My name is Nurul Shafiqah Binti Abdul Razak. First of all, I want to thanks to Madam Busyra because give me a chance to speech in front today. Before I start the speech, I want to ask all of you about dates. Have you ever heard and eaten dates? I think all of you have eaten dates especially in Ramadhan,right? The scientific name of dates is Phoenix Dactylifera. A date fruit is the product of a date palm, which is a tree native to Northern Africa and the Middle East, although it is also cultivated in other parts of the world.

A full grown date palm can reach 82 feet (25 meters) in height, with a spreading crown of greenish leaves. The fresh dates will last for up to two weeks under refrigeration, while preserved dates can last much longer, depending on how they are preserved. Today I want to persuade all of you to eat dates because it helps you cure diseases, increase weight gain, and supply energy. I hope all of you can lend your ears and give more attention to my speech.

Now, lets start with the first reason why you should eat dates

First Benefit
You should eat dates because it helps to cure diseases. Dates help in
fighting constipation, diarrhea, and abdominal cancer. Dates are termed as a laxative food, so it is beneficial for you that suffering

constipation. For getting the laxative effect from dates, you need to soak
dates for one full night in water. You should consume these soaked dates in the morning like syrup to get their actual advantages.

Dates that contain potassium can control diarrhea. So you should take it
because dates are easily digestible which helps to cope up with the problem of diarrhea.

Dates helps in curing abdominal cancer because they work better as medicines, natural, and do not bear any side of effects in your body. All of you should take it. It is very suitable for you and other people because dates work as useful tonic for all age of groups. Dates are rich in several vitamins and minerals which contain potassium, calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus that can use to cure many diseases. The Prophet S.A.W said in the authentic hadith: Anyone who eats seven pieces of dates every morning then they will be safe from the poison or magic on that day. So you should eat dates if you want to be safe from any kind of diseases.

Okay, now you already know the first reason why you should eat dates, so lets look at the second reason

Second Benefit
You should eat dates because it helps to increase weight gain. As a skinny or over slimming people, you should eat dates because it can help you to increase your weight. If you are desperately trying to increase weight gain, you can try eat dates on a regular basis. You must eat about five to six dates everyday to notice a significant change in your body weight. Furthermore, dates that mixing with the paste of cucumber can easily come out from the problem of over-slimming or weight loss. Aishah R.A reported to have used dates combined with cucumber to treat her over-slim condition. She said, They fed me with every type of food to gain weight, yet I did not put any on and did not become fat. Then they added cucumber and fresh date to my diet and I gained.

So you should make it to avoid from the problem of over slimming and you
can increase your weight properly. Dates are high in calories that will help in putting on weight. As you know,

one kilogram of dates contains almost 3, 000 calories.


These calories sufficient to fulfill and supply the minimum daily requirements of the human body, so you can increase your weight

consistently.

So now, we have seen the two reasons why you should eat dates which are cure diseases, and increase weight gain. Then lets move to the third or last reason

Third Benefit
You should eat dates because it helps to supply energy. Dates contain sugar, fat, and protein that important as well as vitamins. Dates that rich with sugary energy will supply your body with the most important nutrients which is sugar. So sugar is irreplaceable as a nutrient for the brain cells and nerves. Normally, it is observed that you may feel hungry if sugar level are reduced in

your body irrespective the condition of empty stomach.


Because of that, you should eat dates that can give more sugar in your body, so when more sugar is absorbed, it can provide more energy to your body as well as protein.

However, you need more energy especially when fasting. Dates can decrease you from the great hunger feeling. So before fasting, you should eat dates and take it as your early wake. If you do that, you can fast on that day without feel any tiredness. Dates travel faster to the liver and are converted more quickly than other nutrients. So, dates are the perfect food for you to break the fasting, since it quickly supply your body with the energy you need.

Now, we already finished discussing the reason why you should eat dates.

Conclusion
Before I end my speech, let me conclude and preview all the reasons why you should eat dates. As we have seen before, you should eat dates because it helps to cure diseases, increase weight gain, and supply energy. So I encourage all of you to eat dates. Starting today, I hope all of you will eat dates as your routine Thanks to my entire friend because lend your ears and give more attention to my speech.
