MEANING
There is a tradition of social service and voluntary work in India. There are many organisation which are engaged in social welfare activities , like helping poor, spreading literacy and so on. These organisation are called as NGOs (NON GOVERNMENT ORGANISATION).

TYPES OF NGO
NGO type by orientation : Charitable orientation; Service orientation; Participatory Empowering orientation; NGO type by level of co-operation : Community- Based Organization; City Wide Organization; National NGOs; International NGOs;

PURPOSE OF NGOs
The object and purpose of NGOs are different from business organisations. These organisations do not intend to earn profits. The purpose of NGOs are is to serve a particular section of society, public at large or its members only.

MOTIVATION OF EMPLOYEES :-

The level of motivation of most of the employees is low so they just continue with the job for the sake of employment.
