Its a furniture- manufacturing unit In collaboration with Malaysian company Factory is situated in Chonadam, Thalassery Annual turnover- 2500 cb.mts per annum The company has made heavy investment in machinery- most of the machines are semiautomatic-skilled laborers assisting semi automatic machines The per machine maintenance cost is high

POSITIVE FEATURES OF THE FACTORY


Wires & cables are connected through the ceilings Pieces of woods which are not utilized for the production purpose is sold as firewood The dust is absorbed through pipelines There is less power failure because the company has a separate transformer Proper safety measures are provided to the employees

NEGATIVE FEATURES OF THE FACTORY


Production is not up to the capacity of the company No proper factory maintenance Even after chemical impregnation, some finished goods were damaged due to fungi

GENERAL PROBLEM OF THE COMPANY


Find difficulty in getting sufficient quantum of materials Having working capital constraint Costlier than other products in the market Not willing to take higher risk by taking further loans

CONCLUSION
By analyzing this case,we reached to a conclusion that both the factory and the company are having problems. so in order to achieve the target, both the management and factory should take up their responsibility and perform their work effectively
