Mechanicals hazards are those hazards which affect machinery and equipments that are responsible for the production rate of a industry. They may be devastating to human life These can affect the cost of the production
Environmental Hazards
'Environmental hazard' defines any situation or state of events which poses a threat to the surrounding natural environment affecting : People's health Their performance Responsible of causing severe physical and mechanical hazards.

OSHA's mission is to "assure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards Provides training, education and assistance. employee access to information requirements for the use of personal protective equipment requirements for safety procedures.

Prevention of Hazards
Accidents do not happen , they are generally caused , we can not eliminate hazards and hazard completely but the probability can be minimized. Physical hazards can be minimized by: Providing proper operating skills to workers Providing proper safety equipments
Making sure that the safety principles are being properly followed. Maintenance of the machines should be experienced on regular basis. Machines should only be operated by skillful operators. No machines should be used which are losing their service life.
Environmental conditions also affect the efficiency of working personnel and machines. Work should always be done in a proper illumination. No suffocation should be avoided on a working area. Dusty and oily surfaces on the working floor should be cleaned up.
