Through public meeting with community in the wards Concerns of gender based violence were raised. Idleness, poverty , cultural beliefs, polygamous attitudes and behaviours were cited as the causes of Gender Based Violence.

Partnerships have been made with farmers to employ GBV affected man & women. Council provides the group with transport & education through the council Gender Focal Person. I use the council gender campaign song and slogan to mobilise Chegutu Hatidi Hondo, Chegutu Hatidi Mhondi. There are intentions to exhibit our potential in the 2012 Chegutu annual show to be held some time between August and September. The media will be DESERVES EVERYONE expected to take coverage.
