motivate new generations to contribute towards natural well being, where all will share the spirit and struggle based on the Federal Constitution.

We stand, think and act as one people, one nation ( Malaysians). We take actions based on aspirations of all ethnic groups in the country. We free ourselves from taking action based only positive solely on our own ethnic groups, whole solely on our own ethnic group, while not dismissing affirmative policies aimed at helping eligible bumiputras from getting consideration from the government. 1Malaysia Realiti Sebenar Rakyat Negara Ini - Najib PEKAN, 23 Mei (Bernama) -- Konsep 1Malaysia merupakan konsep yang berpaksikan bumi nyata dan realiti sebenar rakyat pelbagai kaum di negara ini, kata Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. Perdana Menteri berkata secara realitinya masyarakat berbilang keturunan dan agama di negara ini perlu bersatu bagi menjadikan Malaysia sebuah negara yang kukuh. "Kalau kita dapat menyatukan masyarakat menjadi satu rakyat dengan satu impian, kita jadikan Malaysia sebuah negara lebih kuat, gagah perkasa dan berjaya," katanya ketika merasmikan mesyuarat agung/perwakilan tahunan ke-15 Persatuan Pesara Kerajaan Malaysia (PKKM) bahagian negeri Pahang di sini, hari ini. Bagaimanapun, Najib menegaskan konsep 1Malaysia tetap akan mempertahankan Perlembagaan Negara. "Menerusi konsep 1Malaysia ini, tidak ada kumpulan besar atau kecil yang akan terpinggir dan tidak diberi perhatian oleh kerajaan, sama ada di kampung, bandar atau rumah panjang, semua dapat perhatian kerajaan," katanya.

1 Malaysia is a concept based on the reality of multiracial Malaysia

The reality where that the multiracial of multi religious people of the country must live in unity to ensure Malaysia grows from strength to strength as a one nation and one people. Malaysia would be stronger and more successful if the society are united into one people sharing similar inspirations and aspirations. The concept will be entrenched in and uphold the Federal Constitution.

Dalam perkembangan lain, Najib mengingatkan golongan pesara supaya sentiasa menyuburkan minda melalui aktiviti pembacaan.
Beliau berkata aktiviti membaca bukan hanya dapat menguatkan minda dan fizikal pesara malah membolehkan golongan itu membabitkan diri dalam mencurah khidmat terhadap masyarakat dan negara. "Apabila minda diisi dengan pengisian yang segar dan sesuai, badan akan turut menjadi sihat dan cergas," katanya. Sementara itu, Najib berkata segala tuntutan PKKM perlu dikemukakan kepada Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) terlebih dahulu sebelum dibincangkan oleh Kabinet. Terdahulu, Yang Dipertua PPKM Pahang Datuk Abdul Ghani Sulaiman ketika berucap pada majlis itu mengemukakan beberapa tuntutan berkaitan pesara. Ini termasuk memohon kerajaan mempertimbangkan untuk memberikan pencen minimum berjumlah RM720 terhadap kakitangan awam yang berkhidmat kurang daripada 25 tahun, memberikan wang ehsan setiap kali kerajaan mengumumkan bonus kepada kakitangan awam, memberikan pencen terbitan kepada suami/isteri pesara yang dikahwininya selepas bersara dan melantik seorang Senator bagi menjaga hal ehwal golongan pesara.
