INTRODUCTION
This project is a web based application

This software provides facility for reporting online: crimes, complaints, missing persons, show most wanted person details mailing as well as chatting. Any Number of clients can connect and make their login to sever to show their availability.

The server can be any Web Server. An SMTP Server must be maintained for temporary storage of emails and chat jar files for enabling the chatting facilities.

Availability of online police service to citizens providing facility of reporting complaints.

Facility to Police officers to login and access their account.

Better administration.

Facility to check Complaints Process status.

Records of Wanted criminals, Missing People, Unidentified Bodies.

 The J2EE platform uses a multitier distributed application model. Application logic is divided into components according to function, and the various application components that make up a J2EE.

 Java Server Pages technology is the Java platform technology for building applications containing dynamic Web content such as HTML, DHTML and XML.
The Java Server Pages technology enables the authoring of Web pages that create dynamic content easily but with maximum power and flexibility. The Java Server Pages technology offers a number of advantages: Write Once, Run Anywhere properties: The Java Server Pages technology is platform independent, both in its dynamic Web pages, its Web servers, and its underlying server components.

 IMAGE RECOGNITION In future we can use Image recognition instead of using heterogeneous database more over High speed, accuracy and nonredundant data are the main advantages of the proposed system. VALIDITY CHECKS Data entry errors can be minimized through validity checks. After the verification only the data are placed the permanent database. DATABASE INDEPENDENT USING JDBC The software can be developed further to include a lot of modules because the proposed system is developed on the view of future, for example we should develop the system as a database independent using JDBC so we can connect it to any other database.

 COMPATIBILITY WITH UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER. As per Central Government Scheme all the citizens will be provided with a UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (UID) and other Biometric methodologies to identify each citizen uniquely, our website will have scope for further enhancement for compatibility with the scheme. GENERALISATION OF WEBSITE FROM STATE TO CENTRAL. The website will have scope for generalization from State Government to Central Government so that there is a central control in policing in India.
