1.Backgraund Of The Thesis

Currently the need for quality services & quality product has become the question of survival. Since continuous quality improvement could do to the survival and growth of an organization the whole world use continuous improvement to stay in the ever-challenging global market. In Ethiopia TQM was started 25 years after it was implemented in the worldwide. To bridge the gap between TQM practices and their possible effects on overall business performance in manufacturing firms, an investigation is to suppose effects of TQM implementation in Ethiopian manufacturing

2. Problem Statement

Amhara Plastic Factory is found in south east of Bahir Dar As any organization the management team face challenges like
not using full capacity of the machine limited share in the market not satisfying customer orders in different quantity level the rework of product

This thesis is to outline how to implement TQM In order to bring better coordination and paradigm shift to the survival and growth of this organization

3.Objectives of the thesis

A. General objective of the thesis

To develop a model which let the company to implement TQM effectively

B. Specific objective
To indicate obstacle in implementing TQM To understand the existing quality level in the company Quantify and express the problems in different process controlling techniques To measure the quality maturity level of the workers To provide new insights to a powerful approach in implementing TQM Awareness about TQM in the organization.

4. Methodologies
Observation (Assessing the problem attending physically) Interviewing machine operators, production manager & technical supervisor (Discussion with production manager , technical department and operators Distribute questionnaire and responses are discussed

Well organized model that helps this firm to implement TQM effectively

Benefits of the thesis

Proper implementation of quality management system concept and policies help to avoid poor quality of the plastic factory products, Be competent in the local and international markets, Enhance customer satisfaction, increase the productivities of the company, and avoid poor utilization of resources. Increase the profitability of the company Create good company image Reduce rework
