Types of Hazardous Chemicals

Carcinogenic Developmental and reproductive hazard Corrosive Irritants Toxic to organs Allergens Flammable explosive

Requirements for clinical laboratories

plan and implement a written hazard communication program Obtain material safety data sheets (MSDSs) for every hazardous substances Educate all employees Maintain hazard warning labels

MSDSs
is a major source of safety information for employees who may use hazardous chemicals. Must be printed in English and provide the specific compound identity
