Luke 3:4
As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: A voice of one calling in the wilderness, Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him. .

John 1:33

And I myself did not know him, but the ONE WHO SENT ME to baptize with water told me, The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit. ".

John 1:6 There came a man sent from God, whose name was John.

John 4:14 We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. .

John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.. .

John 1:19-22 This is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent to him priests and Levites (from Jerusalem to ask him, "Who are you? And he confessed and did not deny, but confessed, "I am not the Christ. They asked him, "What then? Are you Elijah?"

John 1:19-22 He said, I am not. Are you the Prophet? He answered, No. Finally they said, Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?

John 1: 25-27 Why then do you baptize if you are not the Messiah, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet? I baptize with water, John replied, but among you stand one you do not know. He is the one who comes after me, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.

John 1 29 and 36
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, Look, the Lamb of God!

John 1:32,33.

Then John gave this testimony: I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.

1 Cor 12:13
For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free, and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

John 1:35-37
The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, Look, the Lamb of God!" When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus.

Matt. 11:1-3

should we expect someone else?

Romans 8:28

Mark 6:14-29
And he promised her with an oath, Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom. She went out and said to her mother, What shall I ask for? The head of John the Baptist, she answered. At once the girl hurried in to the king with the request: I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptist on a platter.
