This volume consists of papers by Chan Sun, Francisco Muñoz Conde, Hans-Christian Günther, Heinz Gerhard Justenhoven, Kim Yejoo, Harro von Senger and Wang Shizhou, written for a conference in 2015 at Central South University, Changsha. They cover topics from international law, terrorism and China's recent economic expansion into international markets. Chan Sun is a doctoral student of Zhongnan University, Changsha (CSU). Her main research interest is in economic international law. Hans-Christian Günther is Associate Professor of Classics at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. Freiburg. His research interests span from Classical Antiquity to Philosophy, Ethics and Politics. He is also the author of many verse translations from various languages.

This volume contains two major papers by Ram Adhar Mall on religion, philosophy and interculturality. There is also an answer by Hans-Christian Günther; added are three very actual minor contributions by Ali Ashgar Mosleh and Hans-Christian Günther on similar topics. Ram Adhar Mall, Prof. Dr., has been professor for philosopy and religion in Trier, Wuppertal, Bremen, Heidelberg and the LMU Munich. His wide reaching work has been of groud-breaking importance for the understanding of Indian philosophy, he is the founding father of intercultural philosophy in Germany and the founder of the 'Gesellschaft für Interkulturelle Philosophie'. Ali Asghar Mosleh is Professor of Philosophy at Allameh Tabataba`i University in Iran, The Head of Iranian Association for Intercultural Philosophy and the Research Institute Director for Contemporary Culture; Alexander von Humboldt research fellow at the University of Bonn (2004) and visiting researcher at University of Humboldt zu Berlin (2018). He is the author of several books and articles on Intercultural Philosophy, Sufism, History of Philosophy. His books include: “The Question concerning the Truth of Man”, “The Philosophy of Culture” “With the Other”, and “Truth and Power”. Hans-Christian Günther is professor for Classics at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. He has published widely on Greek and Roman philosophy and literature, Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies. Der vorliegende Band enthält die Selbstdarstellung seines philosophischen und seines Lebensweges eines der großen Philosophen der Gegenwart, Ram Mall. Sein Lebensweg zwischen den Kulturen spiegelt seinen philosophischen Weg zwischen Europa und Indien. Diese Darstellung ist somit besonders geeignet, die Verbindung von Philosophie und Leben zu illustrieren und Philosophie in ihrem ursprünglichen Sinne als eine Lebenskunst zurückzugewinnen. Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Ram Adhar Mall, ein indisch-deutscher Philosoph, studierte Philosophie, Psychologie, Sanskrit und Anglistik an den Universitäten Kolkata, Göttingen und Köln. Die Schwerpunkte seiner Veröffentlichungen sind die interkulturelle Philosophie, der britische Empirismus, die Phänomenologie, die Philosophie des Hinduismus und Buddhismus sowie die vergleichende Religionsphilosophie. Promotion an der Universität Köln 1963 über das Thema ‘Humes Bild vom Menschen‘ und Habilitation 1981 an der Universität Trier zum Thema: ‘Der operative Begriff des Geistes.Locke-Berkeley-Hume‘. Er ist Gründungspräsident der Gesellschaft für interkulturelle Philosophie. Als Professor lehrte er an den Universitäten Trier, Wuppertal, Bremen, München, Heidelberg und Jena und außerdem hatte er Gastprofessuren in Wien und Mumbai inne. Die Verleihung der Ehrendoktorwürde erfolgte an der Universität Hildesheim im Jahre 2014 ‚ in Anerkennung seiner ausgezeichneten Verdienste auf dem Gebiet der interkulturellen Philosophie und seiner Bemühungen um einen menschlichen und nicht rassistischen Umgang mit Pluralität in unserer Gesellschaft‘.
