She is a native of the historical Ville neighborhood of North St. Louis, Missouri before relocating to Cobb County Georgia on February 27, 2003. Newoka LaShelle is a former caseworker for the Missouri Department of Children and Family Services and co Founder of a Dream Play Productions, LLC. Ms. LaShelle is the author of Karma’s Dirty Secrets, a Memoir and worked in corporate for fourteen years before launching her own global multi-media company and Internet radio show. She was re-elected into the Eagle Pointe Homeowners Association and proudly serves her community of one hundred and thirty homes in her neighborhood watch. Newoka actively works as a celebrity booking agent for Mr. Bruce George, co Founder of Russell Simmons Def Poetry Jam on HBO. Newoka appeared as a featured poet on CBS radio with radio personality Joyce Littel. Newoka is an adult learner and was recently accepted into Saint Louis University School of Professional Studies.
