His new album 'SOME HOPE' is to be released by Gladyce Records based in Portland, Oregon, USA in December 2010.
While still working as a medical scientist, DC wrote and recorded a constant stream of songs, winning him a large and devoted following on the Internet. Now making music full-time, 'Some Hope' is a collection of his best work to date.
DC's distinctive and affecting voice is perfect for his songs which take an honest and often wry look at life, peppered with positivity and redemptive possibility. Combine that with his maddeningly catchy hooks, pop-smart arrangements and melodic lead guitar breaks and you have songs that you will want to hear again and again.
THE BEATLES and NEIL YOUNG are obvious points of reference and when asked about his influences, DC states, "One of my favourite artists, SAM PHILLIPS used the term OMNIPOP in an album title and I think that's the best name for what I do. I'll borrow from any pop music style of the last 100 years. That's what the Beatles did and yet they created something that was new and lasting, and no-one ever came up with a good name for what they did - it was just music."
He has recently been honing his live performances around Melbourne, both alone and with a band featuring another gifted singer-songwriter, Victor Stranges.

"This guy is a blast, simple hooks with a powerpop touch that embeds humor catchy turnarounds and a sense of the 60's with a bit of the 80's. This is a fun guy you should check out." - Loren Weisman, Brain Grenade
