Die Pocketline ist ein sehr leichtes Set mit kleinen Packmaen fr Slacker, die als Spann-
mechanismus einen selbstklemmenden Flaschenzug bevorzugen. Die mitgelieferten Schoner
schtzen Band und Rinde effektiv vor Abrieb. Der Anpressdruck wird aber nur ber ein 25mm
schmales Band auf den Fixpunkt gebracht. Bei Bumen mit einer stabilen Borke oder beliebi-
gen Fixpunkten ist das fr 10m lange Slacklines ausreichend. Bume mit schwacher Rinde
oder junge Bume drfen als Fixpunkte nicht verwendet werden, solange man nicht einen
speziellen Baumschutz verwendet, der die Auflageflche effektiv vergrert.
Einsteigern, die mglichst einfache Bedingungen suchen, empfehlen wir Ratschensysteme
wie Go oder Highway.
Da die Bandschlinge alternativ auch als Ankerstich verwendet werden kann, eignet sich die
Pocketline hervorragend als Rodeoline (Schlappseil) fr Fortgeschrittene: sobald das
Balancieren zu einfach wird, Spannung aus der Line nehmen und hher hngen!

narrow belt. Trees with a weak bark and young trees are
either to be avoided or can be used in combination
with a special tree protector, which increases the
bearing surface effectively.
For beginners, who prefer to start with the easiest condi-
tions, we recommend ratchet systems such as Go or
Highway. Since the tree sling can also be set up as a
larks-foot knot, the pocketline can be used as rodeoline
for advanced slackliners. As soon as balancing beco-
mes too simple, just release the tension and fix the line
overhead.
Move back from the first anchor point leav-
ing a space the size of about 20% of the
distance between the two anchor points. At
this point insert the so-called linelocker by
passing a loop through the chain link and
then passing it through again.
Etwa zwei Meter entfernt vom 2.Fixpunkt
(Baum), bei leicht gespannter Line, den soge-
nannten ``linelocker`` (mitgeliefertes
Kettenglied) einbauen. Dazu in die Slackline
eine Schlaufe legen, durch das Kettenglied
fhren und noch mal durch das Kettenglied
einfdeln.
Attach a shackle (shackle 1) by passing it
through the loop and close the shackle and
tighten it.
Einen Schkel ( Schkel 1) durch die
Schlaufe legen und das Ketteglied festzie-
hen; dann den Bolzen eindrehen.
The linelocker lies on top of the belt. The
remaining section of the belt is used as clam-
ping pulley.
Der Linelocker ist hier oben am Band; das
brige Band wird als selbstabklemmender
Flaschenzug (``Ellington``) verwendet.

Position the treeprotectors so that the long
tube is at the back and the two short ones
are at the front so that the belt is protected
against abrasion. If trees serve as the anchor
point the primary goal of the tubes is the pro-
tection of the bark.
Place the long belt with the integral chain link
around the anchor point (tree), pull the belt
through the link and make that the larks-foot
knot is placed in the middle of the anchor
point. Fold the belt directly at the point when
it passes through the chain link so that the
belt leaves the link in a horizontal position.
Den langen Schoner hinten; und die zwei kur-
zen Schoner vorne so auf das Band stecken,
dass das Band bei der spteren
Bandbewegung vor Abrieb geschtzt wird.
Werden (wie hier gezeigt) Bume als Fixpunkt
verwendet, ist das primre Ziel der Schutz der
Baumrinde.
Das eingenhte Kettenglied mittig vor den
ersten Fixpunkt positionieren. Eine seitliche
Anbringung des Ankerstichs ist nur bei der
Verwendung als Rodeoline zulssig. Das Band
im Kettenglied falten, so dass das Band
waagrecht und nicht verdreht gespannt wird.

Place the tree protectors onto the 2m sling
and then put the sling around the second
anchor point and attach the other shackle
(shackle 2).Turn the thread to back facing
the anchor point and thread the belt through
the shackle from below and pull. Make sure
the belt isn't twisted.
(An alternative method to threading the belt
though the shackle is to open the shackle
and place the belt in the shackle.)
Die 2m Bandschlinge mit den Schonern ver-
sehen, um den zweiten Baum/Fixpunkt legen
und den anderen Schkel (Schkel 2) fest-
schrauben. Bolzen nach hinten drehen und
das Band von unten einfdeln und durchzie-
hen, verdrehen des Bandes vermeiden.
(Alternativ kann man, statt das Bandende zu
fhren, auch die Schkel ffnen und das
Band einlegen.)
Thread the end of the belt through shackle 1
from the top. Pull the belt through and remo-
ve any twists.
Das Bandende von oben durch Schkel 1
fdeln, das Band durchziehen und Verdre-
hungen entfernen.
Thread the belt through shackle 2 from
below. Important: the belt must lie under the
section of the belt which has already been
threaded through the shackle.
Das Band von unten durch Schkel 2 fhren.
Wichtig: das Band muss jeweils unter dem
zuvor gefdelten liegen. Hier liegt es noch
oben.
It is essential that the second loop of the belt
lies under the first loop. This can be accom-
plished most easily by separating the outer
loop with your fingers while sliding the second
loop of the belt under the first.
Eine mgliche Methode um das Band nach
unten zu legen wird hier gezeigt: Das vorheri-
ge Band mit den Fingern auseinander bewe-
gen, dann fllt das zuletzt gefdelte Band
direkt an den Schkel.

Bring the loose end of the belt round to the
back of the shackle then pull back to get
the belt out of the camming system. If you
have strong tension in the line pass the belt
up through the shackle (this will save your
fingers if the belt snaps out suddenly).

Remove any twists before the belt is pulled
taut and check the position of the tree pro-
tectors. Pull the loose end and this is the
completed tensioning/cam system. It
maybe necessary to adjust the tension.
Vor dem Spannen alle evtl. vorhandenen

Ende anziehen, der Flaschenzug klemmt
sich selbst ab. Evtl spter nachspannen.

Rodeoline
Place the sling around the tree and push one of the end loops through the other. (If
you turn the loop of the sling to the side of the tree it will tighten the knot better.)
Instead of using a pulley system, just take a shakle and a chain link and make a
linelocker. You can adjust the height of the slackline to the ground by adjusting the
tree sling.
Eine Schlaufe der Baumschlinge wird als Ankerstich benutzt. (Ein seitlich verdrehter
Ankerstich zieht sich unter Last zusammen). Anstelle eines Flaschenzuges wird nur
mit einem Schkel und einem Kettenglied ein Linelocker hergestellt. Der Schkel
wird dann in die andere Schlaufe der Baumschlinge eingehngt. Der Abstand der
belasteten Line zum Boden wird mit der Hhe der Schlinge eingestellt.

At the point where the two belts should be
connected the second line should be folded
over and then pushed through the stitched
chain link of the first belt. Now place the
loose chain link from the second set over the
folded belt.

trifft, wird von der zweiten Line eine einfache
Schlaufe durch das eingenhte Kettenglied
der ersten Line gesteckt und ein loses

Pull the folded belt through the pitched
chain link and then under the other link.
Finally the folded belt must once again be
passed through the stitched chain link - bet-
ween the bands.

As there is little room, to push the folded
band through, we suggest you hold the
band between the links and pull the chain
link back over to the stitched chain link. Now
pull tight.

ist, sollte man die Bnder festhalten und das
Kettenglied einfach zurckschieben. Danach
diesen ziemlich speziellen Linelocker festzie-

By using two pocketlines you can connect 2
fixpoints with a distance of approx. 24 yards.
We recommend, that you leave over approx.
3 yards for securing the pulley system to your
fixpoint. The rest of the belt should be pulled
to the intersecting position of the second fix-
point. On the second fixpoint secure the
second belt as seen in pic 2.
Es knnen 2 Fixpunkte mit einer Distanz bis ca.
22 m miteinander verbunden werden.
Unabhngig von der Distanz der beiden
Fixpunkte, empfiehlt es sich, an dem einen
Ende fr den Flaschenzug nur etwa 3 m Band
auf den Boden und in Richtung zweiten
Fixpunkt zu legen.
Am zweiten Fixpunkt wird die 2. Pocketline
angebracht (siehe Bild1) und in Richtung
des ersten Fixpunktes ausgelegt.

Mount the pulley as described in
the instruction booklet, and make it
as taut as possible. Set up a second anchor
to add more of a mechanical advantage
(15:1). Girth hitch a shackle on the the line as
close to the camming system as you can.
To create this moving shackle, pass a loop
through a shackle and pull and secure it.
Wie oben beschrieben, den Flaschenzug auf-
bauen und maximal spannen. Mit den bei-
den brig gebliebenen Schkeln wird ein
Expressflaschenzug hergestellt. Damit wird der
5:1 Flaschenzug zu einem 15:1 Flaschenzug
umgebaut. Dazu im Zugband eine Schlaufe
mglichst nah an Schkel 1 legen und von
unten durch einen Schkel ( Schkel 3) ste-
cken. Diesen Schkel (Schkel 3)jetzt durch
die Schaufe stecken und festziehen.
Run the line through the secondary anchor,
then through the girth hitched shackle.
Now the pulling will be much easier. Pull as
hard as you can and when the two shackles
touch, take out the girth hitch and put the
`moving' shackle back in the line next to the
camming system. Repeat this procedure if
necessary.
Die brige Schlinge mit dem letzten Schkel
(Schkel 4)unterhalb der ersten Schlinge posi-
tionieren. Das Zugband von oben durch den
Schkel 4 an der zweiten Schlinge fdeln;
dann wieder zurck und ein letztes Mal durch
den Schkel 3 einfdeln. Anziehen und evtl.
Schkel 3 lsen und noch einmal neu fixieren.
By making a regular linelocker with the inclu-
ded shackle (8mm) you reduce the breaking
strength of the belt by approx. 30%. A shack-
le with a girth of 12mm will reduce it to about
10%. Therefore it makes sense to replace
shackle 1 through another shackle with a 12
mm girth. Also it makes sense to use a 12mm
shackle when you are combining the 2 pok-
ketlines. To save weight we use only the 12
mm bolt, as seen in the picture. The bolt is
secured through a simple rubberband to pre-
vent it from slipping during the set up.
Die Reifestigkeit des Bandes wird im
Linelocker mit einem der mitgelieferten
Schkel (Materialdurchmesser 8mm) um ca.
30% reduziert. Ein Schkel mit einem
Durchmesser von 12 mm reduziert die
Festigkeit auf ca. 10%. Es macht also Sinn,
den Schkel 1 durch einen Schkel mit 12mm
Materialdurchmesser zu ersetzen. Ebenso bei
der Verbindung der beiden Pocketlines (Bild
A2) ist es sinnvoll einen Linelocker nicht mit
dem 2.Kettenglied (8mm) zu bilden, sondern
einen einfachen Linelocker mit einem 12mm
Schkel. Um Gewicht zu sparen, wird hier im
Bild nur der 12mm Bolzen verwendet. Der
Bolzen wird mit einem Gummi gesichert um
ein Herausrutschen bei der Montage zu ver-
hindern.

and then built the pulley sytem.
Abriebschutz zwischen Band und Rinde
positionieren und den Flaschenzug auf-
bauen.
Fold the band over and insert this folded
band back through the knot as seen in the
picture. Advantage: You can open this knot
easily. You also can insert the belt without
folding it, if you like( pic C4).
Das Band mit einer Schlaufe versehen und
diese entlang des Bandes in Richtung Baum
einstecken. Vorteil: durch einfachen Zug
(bei unbelasteter Schlinge) lsst sich der
Knoten leicht ffnen. Das Band kann auch
ohne Schlinge eingesteckt werden ( siehe
C4).
If you have a longer band, fold your web-
bing in half and mount a shackle at the
fold. On the other side of the shackle the
double band will be folded again and pus-
hed through as described in pic C2.
Hat man ein etwas lngeres 50mm Band
(ca. 5m) legt man es doppelt um den
Baum. Die Schlaufe wird gefaltet und in
den Schkel eingehngt. Auf der anderen
Seite des Schkels wird das doppelte Band
gefaltet und wie in Bild C 2 beschrieben
gefdelt.
Pinch the end of the belt together and
make a bow knot. This knot is difficult to
open and reduces the breaking strength to
approx. 50%. A 50 mm belt has on the ava-
rage at least 3000daN ( in the strapping
about 6000 daN).
This means, here we have no problem with
the reduction of the strength of the belt. Put
the shackle in the bow knot, wrap the belt
around the tree and insert the belt through
the shackle as seen in the picture.
Das Band wird am einen Ende gefaltet;
eine Schlinge wird eingeknotet. ( Dieser
Knoten kann nur schwer wieder geffnet
werden und reduziert die Festigkeit, wie
jeder Knoten, um ca 50%. Ein 50mm Band

der Umreifung also 6000 daN.
Das Redu- zieren der Festigkeit stellt hier

Tree sling with 50/100 mm width
Baumschlinge mit 50mm bzw 100mm breiter Auflage
To reduce the pressure on the bark on the backside of the tree, we use a piece of
a 50 mm wide band. With help of a 12 mm shackle we create a flexible tree sling.
Um den Druck auf die Rinde (an der Rckseite eines Baumes) auf eine grere
Flche zu verteilen, verwendet man ein Stck von einem 50mm breiten Band. Mit Hilfe eines
12mm Schkels wird eine einstellbare Baumschlinge hergestellt.
