HCC-11 Heizstrom- und Heizkreisüberwachungsmodul
Anwendung
Sammelalarm (Last ≤ 2kOhm).

Montageanleitung: Montagezeichnung
Die Montage des HCC-11 erfolgt
auf das bereits montierte Halb-
leiterrelais. Der Gehäusedeckel
ist durch leichtes Auseinander-
biegen der seitlichen Halte-
klammern zu lösen. Mit den bei-
gefügten Schraubensätzen wird
das Modul auf das SSR montiert
und die elektrische Lastver-
bindung hergestellt.
ACHTUNG:
Vor Montage ist sorgfältig zu
prüfen, ob der zöllige oder
metrische Schraubensatz ver-
wendet werden muß.

Schalter 4 - Überwachung des maximalen Stromwertes
Bei Verbrauchern mit erhöhtem Einschaltstrom, z.B. IR-Strahlern und Glühlampen, ist die
Maximal-Stromüberwachung außer Betrieb zu setzen - Schalter 4 = ON
ON zu bringen.
Fehlersuche
Stellung der Meßbereichsschalter überprüfen.

HCC-11 Heating current and circuit monitoring module
Application
The heating circuit monitoring module HCC-11 is designed to monitor electric circuits in the range 1.25A
to 40A which are switched by solid-state relays (SSR). The HCC-11 system is primarily intended for
monitoring heating circuits and also for detecting and localizing faults in single heating elements. The
failure of a single heating element is reliably monitored. The module detects over- and undercurrents in
the heating circuit beyond ±15% nominal current. Blown fuses, failed and interrupted SSR as well as
those in half-wave operation are also registered. An adjustable alarm response delay of 2 to 40 secs
rules out fault messages generated by voltage drops.
Malfunctions are indicated by a red light-emiting diode (LED) on the HCC-11 and must be
localized systematically.
The alarm output allows up to 100 HCC-11 modules to be connected to a collective alarm (load
≤2kOhm).
The module is designed for installation directly on the SSR. A DIN-rail mounting set is available.

instructions
Important:
Before assembly, make sure
to check whether the inch or
metric-based assembly kit is
required.
Starting up
presetting of the function-switches

Switch 4 - Monitoring of the maximum current value
When using loads with a high inrush current, e.g. infra-red heaters and light bulbs, the
maximum current monitoring should be switched off (setting: Sw4 = ON).
Switch 5 - Self-holding of malfunction alarm
If an automatic reset of the malfunction alarm is not desired, then Sw5 should be set to ON.
Any further malfunction alarms can only then be reset by turning off the supply voltage.
Switch 6 - Inverted switching function of the alarm output
The switching function of the alarm-output is inverted by setting Sw6 to ON.
An activated malfunction alarm will then output a LOW-signal (=DC 0V).
This function, however, does not allow the parallel switching of multiple alarm outputs
to one collective alarm.
Troubleshooting
Check the position of the range switch.
