Vorwort:

Against all odds
(Phil Collins)
Intro: Dm7 – G
C/A D/H C Dm
1. How can I just let you walk away, just let you leave without a trace,
F G/F Em Am
When I stand and taking every breath with you (ooh),
Dm G
You’re the only one, who really knew me at all.
C/A D/H C Dm
2. How can you just walk away from me, when all I can do is watch you leave,
F G/F Em Am
Cause we shared the life around the pain, and even shared the tears,
Dm G
You’re the only one, who really knew me at all.
C/G D/G
Ref.: So take a look at me now, there’s just an empty space,
Am F Dm G
There’s nothing left here to remind me, just a memory of your face,
C/G D/G
Take a look at me now, there’s just an empty space,
Am F Dm G
And you coming back to me is against the odds, and that’s why I’ve got to face.
C/A D/H C Dm
3. I wish I could just make you turn around, turn around and see me cry,
F G/F Em Am
There’s so much I need to say to you, so many reasons why,
Dm G
You’re the only one, who really knew me at all.
C/G D/G
Ref.: So take a look at me now, cause there’s just an empty space,
Am F Dm G
There’s nothing left here to remind me, just a memory of your face,
C/G D/G
Now take a look at me now, there’s just an empty space,
Am F Dm G
But to wait for you is all I can do, and that’s why I’ve got to face.
C/G D/G
So take a look at me now, cause I asked you to stay here
Am F Dm G
And you coming back to me is against all odds, and that’s why I’ve got to face.
