little remain to be said about the man himself and above all about the in-
terpretation of his works? I think not. And Swales and Angress demon-
strate that much of significance can still be said without venturing to the
periphery of literary criticism. It is regrettable that their articles stand out
from this issue as a whole rather than typifying it.
