Ein Möbel mit Seele! Ihr neues Finca Möbel ist ein einzigar-
tiges Unikat, gefertigt in traditioneller Handarbeit. Wie bei
einem Mosaik komponiert unsere Manufaktur aus massivem
Mango Holz harmonische Fronten, für jedes Stück ganz
individuell. Ihre Heimat haben die Finca Möbel im indischen
Bundesstaat Uttar Pradesh, ganz im Norden an der Grenze
zu Nepal. Das Spiel der warmen, natürlichen Farben und die
Lebendigkeit der abwechselnden Holzoberflächen schaffen ein
authentisches Meisterstück des natürlichen Wohnens.

Seit Jahrhunderten überliefern Handwerker-Familien in Indien
ihr Wissen von einer zur nächsten Generation. Ausgeprägt
ist auch die Kunst der Holzschnitzerei, mit der Tempel und
Häuser verziert wurden. Zeugnis davon legen die liebevollen
Schnitzereien auf Teilen der Fronten von Finca ab. In den
Schnitzereien von Finca spiegeln sich traditionelle Motive
wie Blüten und florale Ranken wider.
Furniture with real soul! Your new Finca article is one of its
kind, handmade with traditional craftsmanship. As with a
mosaic our craftsmen compose harmonious front panels
from solid mango wood, each of them entirely individual. Our
Finca furniture has its provenance in the Indian state of Uttar
Pradesh, in the very north of the country on the border with
Nepal. The interplay between warm, organic colours and the
vitality of the surface finish of the wood create an authentic
masterpiece of natural living. Finca derives its expressiveness
from the skill of the craftsmen who make it. For centuries
families of artisans in India have handed on their expertise
from one generation to the next. They are also masters of the
art of woodcarving, with which they decorate their temples
and houses. Their skill is demonstrated by the lovingly crafted
carvings on part of the Finca front panels, which feature
traditional designs such as blossoms and floral tendrils.
Die Idee zu Rodeo haben wir aus den Ferien in den Bergen
mitgebracht. Ganz verliebt in den Duft der Bergwälder und die
warme Behaglichkeit der Mountain Resorts entwarfen unsere
Designer wunderschöne Möbel aus massivem Holz und ech-
tem Kuhfell. Dem Korpus aus massivem Mangoholz verliehen
sie klare, moderne Linien.
Eine Besonderheit sind die hübschen Schnitzereien. Die Inder
nennen Möbel mit geschnitzten Ornamenten „Chapa Chipa“,
da die Schnitzarbeiten auf der jahrhundertealten Kunst des
Druckblockschnitzens basiert. Chipa ist die Bezeichnung für
die Künstler, die diese Druckblöcke herstellen. Traditionell
setzen die Inder diese fein ausgearbeiteten Holzblöcke zum
Bedrucken von Stoffen in Rajasthan ein.
Die Muster spiegeln eine Vielfalt von Informationen über die
regionale Herkunft und Religionszugehörigkeit wider.
We brought back the idea for our Rodeo range from holidays
in the mountains. Inspired by the scent of upland forests and
the cosy warmth of mountain resorts our designers created
exquisite furniture featuring solid wood and real cowhide.
They gave the solid mango wood body of the furniture clean,
modern lines and added stylish carvings as a special feature.
In India furniture with carved ornamentation is referred to
as „chapa chipa“, because the carvings are based on the
centuries-old art of carved printing blocks. „Chipa“ is the
designation for the artists who create these printing blocks.
Traditionally Indian craftsmen in Rajasthan use these
delicately worked wooden blocks for printing on textiles. Their
patterns reflect a wide diversity of information about regional
origin and religious faith.
