Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise

WARNUNG Die Nichtbeachtung der Sicherheitshinweise kann Verletzungen nach sich ziehen, Ihre Gesundheit gefhrden oder zu Beschdigungen an der Vakuumversorgung fhren. Beachten Sie neben den Hinweisen in dieser Betriebsanleitung auch die allgemeingltigen, nationalen Sicherheits- und Unfallverhtungsvorschriften! 1. Die Vakuumversorgung darf nur in Verbindung mit einer BPS 200 oder BPS 500 betrieben werden. 2. Die Vakuumversorgung darf erst nach Kenntnisnahme dieser Betriebsanleitung in Betrieb genommen und gewartet werden. 3. Die Vakuumversorgung darf nur der Bestimmung gem, wie in dieser Betriebsanleitung beschrieben, verwendet werden. 4. Der Betreiber hat sicherzustellen - dass das Bedienungs-, Wartungs- und Instandhaltungspersonal grndlich mit allen Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut gemacht worden ist und dass sie beachtet werden. - dass die Vakuumversorgung immer nur in betriebssicherem Zustand betrieben wird. 5. Der Betrieb der Vakuumversorgung ohne die zugehrigen Schutz- und Sicherheitseinrichtungen ist nicht erlaubt. Schutzeinrichtungen sind: - Membransicherungsschalter in der Vakuumpumpe - Gertesicherungen 6. Eingebaute Sicherheitseinrichtungen drfen nicht demontiert oder auer Betrieb gesetzt werden. 7. Alle Verkleidungen mssen vor Inbetriebnahme der Vakuumversorgung geschlossen sein und drfen whrend des Betriebes nicht geffnet werden. 8. Bei Demontage von Verkleidungen oder Sicherheitseinrichtungen fr Reparatur oder Wartung ist die Vakuumversorgung, wie in der Betriebsanleitung beschrieben, auer Betrieb zu setzen. Unmittelbar nach Abschluss der Reparatur- oder Wartungsarbeiten sind die Verkleidungen und Sicherheitseinrichtungen wieder zu montieren. 9. Die Vakuumversorgung darf nicht in Betrieb genommen werden, wenn ein oder mehrere Teile (z.B. Kabel, Stecker) beschdigt sind, die Funktion nicht einwandfrei ist, Beschdigungen erkennbar oder zu vermuten sind.

Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise

Sicherheitshinweise fr Wartung und Reparatur der Vakuumversorgung

1. Wartungsarbeiten drfen nur von entsprechend unterwiesenen Personen durchgefhrt werden. 2. Einstellungen, Strungsbeseitigungen und Reparaturen drfen nur von Fachkrften bzw. entsprechend unterwiesenen Personen durchgefhrt werden. 3. Reparaturen der Vakuumpumpe sollen in der G&D Reparaturstelle durchgefhrt werden, siehe Reparaturbericht (Anhang). 4. Vor Wartungs- oder Reparaturarbeiten fhren Sie folgende Arbeiten durch: F Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose und sichern Sie ihn gegen Wiedereinstecken. Prfen Sie, ob alle Teile spannungsfrei sind. 5. Arbeiten an unter Spannung stehenden Teilen und Einrichtungen sind nicht zulssig. 6. Bei Reparatur oder Wartung drfen nur freigegebene Originalersatzteile verwendet werden.

Verbot von eigenmchtigen Umbauten und Vernderungen an der Maschine. Aus Sicherheitsgrnden drfen an der Maschine ohne vorherige Information und Genehmigung des Herstellers keine Vernderungen vorgenommen werden. Durch eigenmchtige bauliche Vernderungen oder Ergnzungen der Maschine verliert die EG-Konformittserklrung der BPS 200 und BPS 500 ihre Gltigkeit und erlischt die GS-Zeichen-Genehmigung.

Diese Betriebsanleitung enthlt wichtige Hinweise, um die Vakuumversorgung sicher betreiben zu knnen. Ihre Beachtung hilft, Gefahren zu vermeiden, Reparaturkosten und Ausfallzeiten zu verringern. Sie enthlt wichtige Informationen zu den erforderlichen Wartungs- und Instandhaltungsmanahmen, gibt Hilfestellung im Fall von Betriebsstrungen und enthlt Angaben ber Ersatz- und Verschleiteile. Die Betriebsanleitung muss fr das Bedienpersonal stndig am Einsatzort der Vakuumversorgung verfgbar sein. An der Vakuumversorgung ist folgender Warnhinweis angebracht:

Die Beachtung der nicht besonders hervorgehobenen anderen Montage-, Betriebs- und Wartungshinweise sowie technischen Daten (in den Betriebsanleitungen, den Produktdokumentationen und an der Maschine) ist gleichermaen unerlsslich, um Strungen zu vermeiden, die ihrerseits mittelbar oder unmittelbar schwere Personen- oder Sachschden bewirken knnten.

Allgemeine Hinweise
Qualifiziertes Personal sind Personen, die aufgrund ihrer Ausbildung, Erfahrung und Unterweisung sowie ihrer Kenntnisse ber einschlgige Normen, Bestimmungen, Unfallverhtungsvorschriften und Betriebsverhltnisse, von dem fr die Sicherheit der Anlage Verantwortlichen berechtigt worden sind, die jeweils erforderlichen Ttigkeiten auszufhren und dabei mgliche Gefahren erkennen und vermeiden knnen.

Bestimmungsgeme Verwendung
Die Vakuumversorgung ist ausschlielich fr die Frderung von Luft vorgesehen. Die angesaugte Luft darf keine explosionsfhigen oder chemisch instabilen Gase oder Dmpfe enthalten. Die Vakuumversorgung ist fr den stationren Betrieb ausgelegt. Fr Angaben zum Aufstellungsort siehe Kapitel 3 Aufstellung, Abschnitt Aufstellungs- und Wartungsbedingungen.

Unzulssige Verwendung
Die Vakuumversorgung ist nicht explosionsgeschtzt. Sie darf nicht in EX-Bereichen betrieben werden! Die Vakuumversorgung darf nicht in Rumen betrieben werden, in denen starke Staubbelastungen, giftige oder brennbare Dmpfe und Gase entstehen knnen. Nicht zulssig sind - Vernderungen oder auer Funktion setzen von Sicherheitseinrichtungen und Verkleidungen, - Entfernen oder berlackieren von Schildern und Hinweiszeichen an der Vakuumversorgung.

Aufstellungs- und Wartungsbedingungen

Der Aufstellungsort soll sauber, staubfrei, trocken und khl sein. Direkte Sonneneinstrahlung auf die Vakuumversorgung ist zu verhindern. Der Aufstellungsort der Vakuumversorgung muss so gewhlt werden, dass eine einwandfreie Arbeitsweise gewhrleistet ist und dass die Zugnglichkeit fr Wartungsarbeiten gegeben ist.

Umgebungstemperaturen
Zulssige Umgebungstemperaturen im Betriebsraum Maximale Umgebungstemperatur: + 35C Minimale Umgebungstemperatur: + 10C ACHTUNG Die Nichteinhaltung der zulssigen Umgebungstemperaturen kann zu Betriebsstrungen und Schden an der Vakuumversorgung fhren.

Anschluss und Inbetriebnahme

Die Vakuumversorgung wird als anschlussfertige Einheit geliefert. Bei der Montage sind die in den folgenden Abschnitten beschriebenen Arbeiten durchzufhren. HINWEIS Untersuchen Sie die Vakuumversorgung vor der Inbetriebnahme auf uere Transportschden. ACHTUNG Beobachten Sie die Vakuumversorgung bei der Inbetriebnahme und dem folgenden Probelauf. Schalten Sie die Vakuumversorgung durch Ausstecken der Netzleitung sofort aus, wenn Fehlfunktionen oder Strungen auftreten. VORSICHT Alle Montagearbeiten drfen nur von entsprechend unterwiesenen Personen oder Fachkrften durchgefhrt werden.

Vakuumanschluss

Um die Vakuumversorgung an die BPS 200 / 500 anzuschlieen, verbinden Sie diese durch die Schnellkupplung mit der Vakuumleitung.

Die Verlegung der Vakuumleitung muss den Unfallverhtungsvorschriften entsprechen.

Elektrischer Anschluss

Stecken Sie den Stecker des Steuerkabels an der Rckseite der BPS 200 / 500 in den Anschluss fr die Steuerleitung der Vakuumversorgung und drehen Sie die Befestigungsschrauben fest. Stecken Sie das Netzkabel an der Vakuumversorgung an. Stecken Sie den Stecker des Netzkabels in die Steckdose.

Die Vakuumversorgung ist betriebsbereit. ACHTUNG Beachten Sie die Nennspannung! Die Daten Ihres Netzes (Betriebsspannung, Steuerspannung, Stromart, Frequenz,...) mssen mit den Angaben auf dem Typenschild bereinstimmen.

Aufstellung

VORSICHT hohe Spannung! Alle Arbeiten an der elektrischen Ausrstung der Vakuumversorgung drfen nur von autorisierten Elektrofachkrften durchgefhrt werden. Beachten Sie beim Anschluss an das elektrische Netz die gltigen nationalen Vorschriften. Beachten Sie auch die Vorschriften Ihres rtlichen Stromversorgungsunternehmens bezglich der Belastbarkeit Ihres elektrischen Netzes. GEFAHR Verlegen Sie die Anschlussleitungen so, dass jegliche Stolpergefahr ausgeschlossen ist.

Inbetriebnahme Vakuum einstellen

Eine besondere Inbetriebnahme der Vakuumversorgung ist nicht notwendig. Die Vakuumversorgung wird ferngesteuert ein- und ausgeschaltet. Eine vorrbergehende Abschaltung der Vakuumversorgung kann durch Ausstecken der Netzleitung und Steuerleitung erreicht werden.

Drehen Sie die Ventilspindel im Uhrzeigersinn, erhht sich das Vakuum bis zum Maximalwert. Drehen Sie die Ventilspindel gegen den Uhrzeigersinn, erniedrigt sich das Vakuum bis zum Nullwert (nutzbares Vakuum wird nicht mehr erzeugt).

Die Tabelle unten gibt Auskunft ber die mglichen Ursachen bei Betriebsstrungen und die Manahmen zu ihrer Beseitigung. WARNUNG Alle Arbeiten zur Strungsbeseitigung drfen nur von unterwiesenem Personal oder Fachkrften ausgefhrt werden.

Wartung

Wartungsarbeiten drfen nur von Fachkrften bzw. entsprechend unterwiesenen Personen durchgefhrt werden. Die Wartungsarbeiten sind entsprechend den Wartungsintervallen regelmig durchzufhren.

Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG Bei Demontage von Verkleidungen oder Sicherheitseinrichtungen fr Wartungsarbeiten ist die Vakuumversorgung, wie in dieser Betriebsanleitung beschrieben, auer Betrieb zu setzen. Unmittelbar nach Abschluss der Wartungsarbeiten sind die Verkleidungen oder Sicherheitseinrichtungen wieder zu montieren. Beachten Sie bei allen Wartungsarbeiten stets die unten beschriebene Arbeitsweise. Lassen Sie niemals einen Sicherheitsschritt aus! Sie riskieren sonst Verletzungen durch Wiederanlauf, Stromschlag oder selbstlsende Teile. Vor allen Wartungsarbeiten:

Vakuumversorgung vom Netz trennen (Steckerleitung und Steuerleitung ausstecken: die Steuerleitung sollte nicht mit dem Netz verbunden sein). Prfen, ob alle Anlagenteile wirklich spannungsfrei sind. Fr die Wartungsarbeit erforderliche Verkleidungen entfernen.

Nach Abschluss der Wartungsarbeiten: Alle entfernten Verkleidungen wieder anbringen. Vor dem Wiedereinstecken der Leitungen sicherstellen, dass kein Personal mehr an der Vakuumversorgung arbeitet.

Wartungsintervalle
Die in der Tabelle angegebenen Wartungsintervalle beziehen sich auf durchschnittliche Betriebsbedingungen. Bei extremen Bedingungen knnen sich krzere Wartungsintervalle ergeben. General Safety Information

Chapter 1

General Safety Information

WARNING Noncompliance to the following safety information can result in injuries, health problems or cause damages to the vacuum supply.

1. The vacuum supply may only be operated in combination with a BPS 200 or BPS 500. 2. The vacuum supply may only be started or operated after the information in this system documentation has been read and understood. 3. The vacuum supply may only be operated according to the instructions in this system documentation. 4. The owner must ensure: - that the personnel responsible for operation, maintenance and repairs are versed in all safety instructions and that they adhere to these instructions. - that the vacuum supply is only operated when in perfect working condition. 5. The vacuum supply may not be operated without the appropriate safety and protective equipment. Protective equipment includes: - Membrane safety switch in the vacuum pump - Machine fuses 6. Integrated safety features may not be removed or disabled. 7. Before the vacuum supply may be operated, all covers must be closed and remain closed during operation. 8. If covers or safety equipment must be disassembled for repair or maintenance, the vacuum supply must be rendered inoperable as described in the system documentation. The covers and safety equipment must be replaced immediately upon completion of the repair or maintenance work. 9. The vacuum supply may not be operated when one or more parts, such as the cable or plugs, are damaged, do not function properly or damages can be detected or assumed.

General Safety Information

Safety Information for the Maintenance and Repair of the Vacuum Supply
1. Maintenance work may only be performed by appropriately trained persons. 2. Adjustment, trouble-shooting and repairs may only be performed by specialists or suitably trained persons. 3. Repairs to the vacuum pump should be performed by the G&D repair center, see repair report (attachment). 4. Before any maintenance or repair work is started, perform the following tasks: F Remove the plug from the mains and secure it from being plugged in again.

Check that all parts are free of electrical current. 5. Work may never be performed on parts and devices under power. 6. Only approved original spare parts may be used for repair or maintenance.

Information on Loss of Guarantee and Product Liability

Prohibition of unauthorized modifications or changes to the machine For safety reasons, no changes may be made to the machine without informing and receiving permission from the manufacturer. If any unauthorized modifications or additions are made to the machine, the CE declaration of confirmaty of the BPS 200 and BPS 500 will lose its validity and the machine will lose its GS certification.

The documentation provides important information on the required maintenance steps, provides help for operational disturbances and contains information on spare and replacement parts. The system documentation must be available in its entirety on site for the operating personnel of the vacuum supply. Refer to the system documentation for the following work: - Operation, including trouble shooting and care - Maintenance (preventive maintenance, inspection, repair) - Initialization The system documentation is an ideal supplement to national accident prevention regulations.

Qualified personnel are people with training, experience and backgrounds as well as in-depth knowledge of standards, rules, accident prevention regulations and operation systems and who have been given responsibility for the safety of the system, of performing the required activities and can detect and avoid any possible dangers.

Proper Use
The vacuum supply is designed exclusively for the supply of air. The vacuumed air may not contain any explosive or chemically unstable gases or fumes. The vacuum supply is designed for stationary operation. For more information on the installation site, see Chapter 3, Installation, Section Installation and Maintenance Requirements.

Improper Use
The vacuum supply is not explosion-proof. This may not be operated in areas where explosions are a danger. The vacuum supply may not be operated in areas where high dust levels, poisonous or inflammable fumes or gases could exist. Scope of Delivery

Installation

Installation and Maintenance Requirements

The installation site must be clean, dust-free, dry and cool. Avoid direct sunlight on the vacuum supply. The vacuum supply installation site must be selected carefully to allow unhindered operation and sufficient access for maintenance work.

Ambient Temperatures
Permissible ambient temperatures in the operation area Maximum ambient temperature: +35C Minimum ambient temperature: +10C CAUTION Temperatures exceeding the permissible ambient temperature limits can cause malfunctions and damage the vacuum supply.

Connecting and Starting the Vacuum Supply

The vacuum supply is delivered ready for use. To set up the vacuum supply, perform the steps listed in the following sections. NOTE Before starting the vacuum supply, check for any damages that may have occurred in transport. CAUTION Carefully observe the vacuum supply when it is started and a test run is performed. If malfunctions or errors occur, immediately switch off the vacuum supply by unplugging it. CAUTION Assembly work may only be performed by suitably trained persons.

Vacuum Connection

To connect the vacuum supply to the BPS 200 / 500, use quick release coupling to connect this to the vacuum line.

The placement of the vacuum line must conform to the accident prevention regulations.

Electrical Connection

Insert the control cable plug in the control cable connection of the vacuum supply on the rear of the BPS 200 / 500 and tighten the screws. Plug the power cable plug into the vacuum supply. Plug the power cable plug into the power socket.

The vacuum supply is ready for operation. CAUTION Check the rated voltage! Your power supply (operating voltage, control voltage, current type, frequency, ...) must correspond to the information on the identification label.

CAUTION - high voltage Only authorized electricians may work on the electrical equipment in the vacuum supply. Follow the applicable national procedures for the connection to the power supply. Check the local power company regulations for the capacities of your power supply. DANGER Make sure the power cords are placed where they cannot be tripped over.

The vacuum supply does not require any special initialization. The vacuum supply is switched on and off remotely. The vacuum supply can be switched of temporarily by unplugging the power and control lines.

Turn the valve knob clockwise to increase the vacuum, up to the maximum level. Turn the valve knob counter-clockwise to reduce the vacuum, down to the minimum value (no usable vacuum created).

Chapter 5

Maintenance
Maintenance work may only be performed by specialists or correspondingly trained persons. Perform the maintenance work regularly at the maintenance intervals indicated.

Safety Information
WARNING If covers or safety equipment must be disassembled for repair or maintenance, the vacuum supply must be rendered inoperable as described in the system documentation. The covers and safety equipment must be replaced immediately upon completion of the maintenance work. Always observe the work procedures described below when performing any maintenance work. Never skip a safety step! Skipping a safety step means risking injuries caused by the system restarting, an electrical shock or flying parts. Before starting any maintenance work:

Disconnect the vacuum supply from the mains (unplug the control and power cords: the power cord should not be connected to the network). Check that there is no power to any system parts. Remove the necessary covers for the maintenance work.

Upon completion of the maintenance work: Replace all covers. Before reconnecting the vacuum supply, check that no one is still working on it.

Cleaning / Replacing the Vacuum Filters

Carefully vacuum out the filter insert. Carefully vacuum out the filter casing. Clean the sealing surface of the filter insert.

Breathing in dust can lead to health problems. CAUTION Never use liquids to clean the filter insert. Never use hard objects for cleaning.

Insert the filter insert in the filter casing. Replace the cover on the filter casing. Tighten the fastener.

Checking / Replacing the Silencer

Check: Every 24 months More frequently if the vacuumed air is very dirty.

Replace:

When damaged or highly soiled. Disconnect the vacuum supply from the mains (unplug the control and power cords, unplug the control cord from the vacuum supply) and secure the plug from being plugged in again.
