RENNSPORTFEDERN/
RACE SPRINGS
H&R Spezialfedern hat sich in den letzten Jahren zu einer der fhrenden Marken im nationalen und internationalen Motorsport entwickelt. Von der FIA Rallye-Weltmeisterschaft, Formel 1, GP2, ber
die DTM, der Deutschen Rallye Meisterschaft, der Formel 3 bis hin
zu den zahlreichen Markenmeisterschaften und Langstreckenrennen siegen H&R gefederte Rennfahrzeuge rund um die Welt und
sind ein Synonym fr Erfolg im Motorsport geworden. Viele Spitzenteams des Motorsportes vertrauen auf das Know How des Fahrwerksspezialisten aus dem Sauerland und seiner Ingenieure.
Doch nicht jedes Team kann sich kostspielige Spezialentwicklungen leisten und somit hat man bei H&R eine preiswerte
Rennsportfederlinie fr die Basis des Motorsportes entwickelt, die
es dem engagierten Motorsportler erlaubt, sein Fahrzeug individuell abzustimmen. Sie besteht aus einer Vielzahl von linearen Hochleistungs-Rennsport-Federn HRF, die in verschiedenen Lngen und
Federraten direkt ab Lager verfgbar sind. Der hochfeste Spezialfederstahl, der in gleicher Spezifikation wie z.B. in der DTM benutzt
wird, garantiert minimales Gewicht bei maximalem Federweg.
Hauptfeder:
Hauptfedern werden aus hochfestem Spezial-Federstahl gefertigt.
Daraus resultiert ein geringeres Gewicht bei einem vergrerten
Blockfederweg gegenber Federn aus herkmmlichem Federstahl.
Die Hauptfeder besitzt eine lineare Kennlinie und bestimmt die
Grundcharakteristik sowie, unbeeinflut von der Zusatzfeder, den
Endratenverlauf. Durch Auswahl geeigneter Bumpstops ist ein
Blockzustand der Hauptfeder im Betrieb unbedingt zu vermeiden.
Zusatzfeder (Hilfsfeder):
Zusatzfedern (Hilfsfedern), die optional zum Einsatz kommen, werden aus einem trapezfrmigen Spezialwerkstoff, der einer dauernden Blockpressung standhlt, hergestellt. Sie knnen sowohl den
Ausfederweg erhhen als auch das Ansprechverhalten sensibilisieren, je nachdem, ob sie im Fahrzustand bereits geblockt sind und
nicht mehr federn oder noch offen sind und die Rate der gewhlten
Hauptfeder beeinflussen. Um den bergangsbereich zwischen
Haupt- und Zusatzfeder zu harmonisieren gibt es zudem vier Typen
progressiver Zusatzfedern im H&R Programm. Dazu kommt eine
Vielzahl von Zubehrteilen wie Federteller, Zwischenteller, Stellmuttern, Kontermuttern und Bumpstops. (siehe www.h-r.com)

Within the last years H&R Spezialfedern has developed into one of
the leading brands in national and international motorsport.
From the FIA-World Rally Championship, Formula 1, GP2, the DTM,
German Rally Championship, Formula 3 and other well known Championships and Endurance Races, racing cars equipped with H&R
have won all over the world. Because of this, H&R has become synonymous with victory in the motorsport business. Many famous
teams in the worldwide motorsport business count on the know how
of the H&R suspension specialists and engineers from Germanys
Sauerland.
As not every team can afford to design and fit expensive special
applications, H&R engineers have designed a range of standard
motorsport race springs for the dedicated private. H&R offers a large quantity of linear high performance race springs HRF, which are
available in different lengths and spring rates. The high tensile
spring steel, which is of the same specification as, for example, those used in the DTM or World Rally Championship, guarantees a
minimum weight at maximum spring travel.
Main springs:
Are made of extremely solid spring steel. This leads to a reduction of
weight and more travel for a given spring rate than competitive
springs made of usual spring steel. The main spring has a linear characteristic and settles the main characteristic as well as the progression of the end spring rate. By choosing suitable bump stops the block
setting of the main spring must be avoided in use.
Helper springs:
Made of a special trapezoid material which resists long lasting solid
stress can also be used. They can either increase the rebound travel
or the response of the spring system, depending on whether the helper springs are already closed and have more travel, or if they can
still influence the rate of the chosen main spring. To harmonize the
intersection of the main and helper spring there are also four different kinds of progressive helper springs on stock. Added to this, there are also many accessories available like spring plates, setting nuts,

Rennsportfedern sind ausschlielich fr die Verwendung im Motorsport entwickelt und konzipiert. Bei der Entwicklung wird neben anderen Leistungsparametern grter Wert auf eine Gewichtsminimierung der Federn gelegt. Deshalb wird der eingesetzte Werkstoff ohne Beachtung der fr Serienentwicklungen blichen Sicherheitsreserven bis an das tatschliche Maximum seiner Belastbarkeit ausgereizt. Korrosion oder Oberflchenschden an den Federn mssen grundstzlich ausgeschlossen werden. Eine dynamische Lebensdauerprfung erfolgte nicht! Von einer Verwendung im ffentlichen Straenverkehr wird daher dringend abgeraten.

These springs are usually used for formula,
touring cars and GT sport according to their shock absorber types. They are available in two different build (free) lengths with 4 inch (approx. 100mm) and 5 inch (approx. 125mm).
