an. 1968 wurde er als Chefarzt der Sportrztlichen Hauptberatungsstelle in Neubrandenburg
und Berlin berufen.1979 erfolgte die Habilitation auf dem Gebiet der Sporttherapie und 1981 die
Berufung zum Hochschuldozenten an die Charit.
Nebenberuich war er bis 1991 ttig als Chefredakteur der Zeitschrift Medizin und Sport und
von 1991 bis 1998 als Redakteur fr die Deutsche Zeitschrift fr Sportmedizin in Kln. Seit 1985
nimmt er eine Dozententtigkeit an einer Fachschule fr Physiotherapie in Berlin wahr.
Neben zahlreichen Vortrgen und populrwissenschaftlichen Publikationen hat er bisher 245 wissenschaftliche Beitrge auf
den Gebieten der Gesundheitserziehung, der Gesundheitspege, der Sporttherapie und Sporttraumatologie sowie auf dem
Gebiet der Low Level Laser Therapie verentlicht.
Seit 1990 gilt sein besonderes Interesse der wissenschaftlichen Untermauerung und der praktischen Anwendung der Low Level
Laser Therapie.
Neben der wissenschaftlichen Bearbeitung dieser Thematik ist er national und international mit Vortrgen und Fachseminaren
hervorgetreten.
Die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse sind in dem anerkannten Fachbuch Low Level Laser Therapie zusammengefasst, das mit
diesem Buch vllig berarbeitet und neu illustriert in der 4. Auage erscheint.

All SEIRIN needles are, without exception, made from stainless steel wire,
which is manufactured in Japan and complies with the exacting Japanese
JIS industrial standard. Quality control equipment is fitted at every stage
of the fully automated production process, during which the products are
never touched by a human hand, so that continuous quality control of
manufacture can be guaranteed. This, along with the special grinding finish

SEIRINs high-quality B-type acupuncture needles are the leading single-use needles in
Europe. Many attempts to copy them have failed because no needle without a guide tube
has up to now been able to achieve the insertion properties of a B-type needle. They are
made of special stainless steel with a point ground to diamond-like sharpness that is
triple-polished and has a fine coating of silicone so that insertion is made especially easy
and gentle. The flexibility of the steel enables sedation and tonification and all other
needle techniques.
The ergonomically designed grip makes the needle safe and convenient to use.
Every B-type needle has a grip made of extremely lightweight, environmentallyfriendly polypropylene plastic that is kind to the skin. The grips have different

SEIRIN has now launched a new metal needle onto the market, made of the very best Japanese stainless steel. Like the B-type,
the Me-type has been ground to diamond-like sharpness and is coated with an ultra-fine layer of medical silicone. A delicate
25mm long grip ensures the best possible handling. The needle shaft is centred precisely in the centre of the grip. All of these
features ensure the best possible needle insertion and needle stimulation.

J-TYPE - Incomparably gentle

Acupuncture does not have to be painful. J-type needles make sure that it is not. In the
USA and Great Britain needles with guide tubes are the most popular type of acupuncture
needles used today, as there is almost no pain normally associated with the insertion
of these acupuncture needles.
J-Type
The rounded edges of the guide tube allow the needle to be placed on the skin in comfort
and without any pain. The needles can then be inserted into the skin by gently tapping
on them. The precise centring of the needle in the easy-to-hold plastic grip allows
them to be precisely guided during the course of subsequent needle stimulation.
J-type needles are especially suitable for use with children and more sensitive

L-TYPE The all-metal needle with a guide tube

Every SEIRIN L-type needle is made entirely of stainless steel and is especially
suitable for electro-stimulation and moxibustion. They are supplied in a plastic guide

PYONEX The trusted needle for long-term placement

SEIRIN PYONEX needles have been specifically developed for long-term acupuncture. The needles have a ring grip
with a needle shaft over which is placed in a high-quality plaster that is kind to your skin. For this reason many
people refer to these as acupuncture plasters. Pyonex needles are fixed to a block and are removed
using tweezers and stuck down on the patients skin.

NEW PYONEX - The unobtrusive gentle press needle

The experts are in total agreement: this is one of the very best innovative products in the
field of acupuncture. NEW PYONEX gentle press needles guarantee gentle, superficial,
virtually imperceptible needle insertion, are easy-to-use, hygienic, safe and almost invisible
at first sight.
NEW PYONEX needles are embedded in a coloured plastic carrier pack, which does not look
like medical packaging and is therefore especially popular with younger patients. The
breathable plaster is stuck to the skin and can be fixed on precisely, safely and for long
periods (up to 48 hours) and kept on even when washing and showering. The 0.20 mm thin
needle is concealed within the adhesive surface of the plaster and can scarcely be felt by the
patient.
NEW PYONEX
The needles are stimulated by pressing a finger down on the easily-to feel pressure point
incorporated into the plaster. This involves patients actively in their own therapy and
thus enhances the therapeutic effect. A further advantage of this plaster is that
parents can continue to treat their children gently at home.
NEW PYONEX needles can be used on a patients body and, depending on the
patients anatomy, also on ear points. As the needles are available in
short lengths (0.30 - 1.5 mm), NEW PYONEX gentle press needles
are popular with children, patients with a low pain tolerance and
patients with a needle phobia.

This very special needle was invented by Kohei Akabane in Japan. It is applied
in four steps: First, a tender point or an induration is found in the skin,
then the skin is stretched and the needle is inserted 2-3 mm into the
dermis. Next, the needle is covered with an adhesive tape and left in
place for a certain period of time. By remaining in the dermis, the
acupuncture needle can provide powerful pain relief.
Packaging: One sterile needle per blister in strips of 10. Each box contains
100 intradermal needles. The Spinex needle can be selected as required to
achieve various stimulus strengths.

After Japan and the USA cosmetic acupuncture has now also arrived in Europe and is
becoming increasingly accepted by practitioners and patients. In cosmetic acupuncture
many people swear by the gentle SEIRIN acupuncture needles, as it is well known that
there is no or virtually no insertion pain with these needles.

Safe smokeless odourless accurate
MOXSAFE, which is produced in Japan, is the newest development in moxibustion. Its name says it all this type of
moxibustion is safe and produces very little smoke.
MOXSAFE consists of a stainless steel ring-shaped moxa carrier
and a mugwort carbon ring. MOXSAFE is placed on the metal
needle and briey lit by a lighter. The heat produced is transferred directly to the needle and thus penetrates the adjacent
regions of skin. The mugwort charcoal burns for exactly
6 minutes. The solid ash remains safely on the moxa carrier.
After a cooling-down phase, the MOXSAFE is removed and
disposed of with the metal needle.
When MOXSAFE is used with Me-Type or L-Type needle
(min 30 mm in length, see), it provides an attractive and
precise heat treatment for therapists and patients.

AS SUPER 4 digital is a 4 channel needle stimulator. The instrument can be

connected via a power supply for medical devices to any outlet or operated
using conventional batteries (4 x 1.5V AAA) or the appropriate rechargeable
battery.
Four channels and 37 programs allow simultaneous therapy with up to
eight acupuncture needles and the current intensity of each channel can
be adjusted individually. The four channels are combined in pairs (1 +2, 3
+4) and as a result can be operated with two different therapy programs at
the same time. The current intensity for each channel (needle pair) can be
individually adjusted. The 37 individual programs are divided into nine
groups (1 to 9) with various subprograms (e.g. 1.2 or 9.6). All programs
have preset frequencies, pulse widths and time settings. Each restart or

Taping
Kinesio-taping and acu-taping are terms that have been on everybodys lips for some time. In kinesio-taping, the tapes are
attached mainly to anatomical points (painful joints, muscles, ligaments; but with acu-taping, aspects of traditional Chinese
medicine, including acupuncture, are also taken into account. The tapes provide an effective massage of the connective
tissue and meridians, and can stimulate lymphatic flow and acupuncture points.
In so doing, the self-healing forces of the body are activated, removing blockages as well as alleviating chronic and acute
pain.
Good tapes are pleasant and well-tolerated by the skin, remain attached in the shower or in the sauna, and can be worn for
3 to 7 days.
We offer two high quality tapes (Acu-Tape und 3B Scientific TAPE) our own brand is particularly good value for money, and
is suitable for both acu-taping and kinesio-taping.

Both tapes are made with stretch cotton fabric and contain no latex. They can
be stretched lengthways by up to 130-140%, and hardly stretch at all diagonally. The tapes are single-sided and come with a skin-friendly, thermoplastic
acrylic adhesive. The tapes are affixed with a wave-like adhesive, and so are
air (breathable) and water permeable. This means that the skin can release
moisture (the tapes do not come off due to perspiration).

nimmt er eine Dozententtigkeit an einer Fachschule fr Physiotherapie in Berlin wahr.
Neben zahlreichen Vortrgen und populrwissenschaftlichen Publikationen hat er bisher 245 wissenschaftliche Beitrge auf
den Gebieten der Gesundheitserziehung, der Gesundheitspege, der Sporttherapie und Sporttraumatologie sowie auf dem
Gebiet der Low Level Laser Therapie verentlicht.
Seit 1990 gilt sein besonderes Interesse der wissenschaftlichen Untermauerung und der praktischen Anwendung der Low Level
Laser Therapie.
Neben der wissenschaftlichen Bearbeitung dieser Thematik ist er national und international mit Vortrgen und Fachseminaren
hervorgetreten.
Die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse sind in dem anerkannten Fachbuch Low Level Laser Therapie zusammengefasst, das mit
diesem Buch vllig berarbeitet und neu illustriert in der 4. Auage erscheint.
