1. Ich wei nicht, was soll es bedeuten,

Ein Mrchen aus uralten Zeiten,

3. Den Schiffer im kleinen Schiffe,

Ergreift es mit wildem Weh;
Er schaut nicht die Felsenriffe,

Ich glaube, die Wellen verschlingen
Am Ende Schiffer und Kahn,
