■ CANopen-Parameter

be der Zieltelefonnummern erfolgt unter SMS-CAN Destinations.

Identifier
zu definieren.

■ CANopen parameters
CANcom CR310x is a device with full CANopen functions. If the device is to be
used as a slave in the CANopen system, the respective CANopen parameters have
to be set or verified once via the configurator.
CANopen parameters
The correct setting of the baud rate or the node ID is important. The baud rate of
all CAN participants in the system has to be identical. The node ID of each partic-
ipant must be different. As node ID the values 1 to 32 (dec.) can be set for the
CANcom.
As an option a terminator (CAN terminator) can be activated in the device if this
is not yet provided by the wiring.
If the GSM online mode (direct transmission) is used, transparent transmission of
CAN objects is possible between two CR310x.
Basically both units monitor the bus and transfer all CAN objects to the counter-
part. Since GSM systems only enable transmission with 9600 baud at present this
would lead to buffer overflow in case of higher bus activity.
To avoid this, the relevant identifier range can be filtered via "Mask Register" and

CANCOM CONFIGURATOR
With these settings all identifiers in the range between C0 hex and FF hex are
transferred. This range is used by the ifm programs "R 360 downloader" and
"ecolog100plus".
In addition 2 other individual CAN objects (Activate Object 2 and Activate Object
3) can be activated for the online mode. Here the identifiers can be entered
directly in the Arbitration Register field.
Note:
Please take into account that some identifiers are reserved for the CANopen
stack. These identifiers are displayed in the lower part of the menu.
■ GSM parameters
Before the first start of the CANcom radio modem the GSM parameters have to
be verified and set if necessary.
GSM parameters
The correct entry of the SIM card pin number is of special importance if it has
not been deactivated before.
N.B.: If an incorrect number is entered three times, the SIM card is deactivated!
PAGE 20
CANCOM CONFIGURATOR
Depending on the system provider and the country the SMS parameters can be
different. The standard settings for the D1 and D2 net can be found in the CAN-
com device manual or can be obtained from your system provider.
If you want to use the GSM online transmission, entries should be made in the
windows Safety and GSM Online. An entry in the field "Safety (Transmission
Password)" protects your installation against unauthorised data access. The pass-
word length is max. 8 characters.
To avoid undesired long online connections, set the maximum time in minutes in
GSM Direct Link Time. If this time has elapsed, CANcom interrupts the trans-
mission.
In GSM Online Mode either "Constant Connection Mode" or "Blocktransfer
Mode" can be set. These settings only have effect if the online mode is used. In
the Blocktransfer Mode the transmission of data blocks is limited to 8 Kbytes, in
the Constant Connection Mode the connection remains.
If a three-band modem is used, the frequency band can be changed from
900/1800 MHz to 1900 MHz depending on the existing systems. (CANcom
CR3100 and CR3102 require the setting "900/1800 MHz".)

■ SMS functions
If the SMS-CAN/Emergency Function is activated, the device automatically
transmits an alarm message as SMS, fax or e-mail to max. two destination phone
numbers in case of an interruption between CANcom and the CAN bus. The des-
tination phone numbers are entered in SMS-CAN Destinations.
Another alarm message is transmitted when the fault has been removed. For
both states an error text can be defined.

■ GPS parameters
Devices with GPS functions (part no. CR3102) allow the selection of this addition-
al window.
GPS parameters
The GPS data of the device are given in the international standardised NMEA for-
mat. The meaning of the individual NMEA formats are partly described in the
CANcom device manual or can be obtained from specialist literature.
The input fields Internal GPS-NMEA Updaterate allow to set which NMEA data
are required and with which update rate (in s) they are to be updated.
An automatic transmission of the position data via SMS to a destination phone
number can be activated in GPS Dataset Transmit via SMS ("Activate automat-
ic GPS Dataset Transmit via GPS"). The destination phone number must be
entered in "Destination Phone Number". The entry in the field "SMS-Transmit
Cycle Time" defines the intervals between the transmissions. Max. 2 NMEA data
records can be transferred. The selection is made in GPS-Dataset.
