Beschreibung
Die RC-24L bzw. RC-48L Türmotorregelungen dienen
zur Steuerung und Regelung von Gleichstrommotoren
für Aufzugkabinentüren sowie zur Speisung und
Ausgangsumsetzung eines versaScreen-Lichtsensor-
Systems. Die Ansteuerung erfolgt mit den
Türkommandos der Aufzugsteuerung.
RC-24L und RC-48L erlauben eine stufenlose Einstellung
der Türgeschwindigkeit in drei Türpositionsbereichen
beim Öffnen (Entriegeln, Öffnen und Annähern an
geöffnete Endposition) und in zwei Türpositions-
bereichen beim Schließen (Schließen und Annähern an
geschlossene Endposition). Beim Schließen der
Kabinentür kann zusätzlich die Schließkraft stufenlos
eingestellt und überwacht werden.

Description
The RC-24L and RC-48L door motor controllers
operate DC motors for elevator car doors. In
addition, they serve as power supply and output
interface for an versaScreen light sensor system. The
units are controlled by the lift controller’s door
command outputs.
For door opening, RC-24L and RC-48L have three
different door position ranges (unlocking, opening,
and approaching open position) where door speed
can be set independently. For closing, independent
door speeds can be set for two different position
ranges (closing, and approaching closed position) .
Additionally, closing force can be adjusted and
controlled continuously.

Funktionsbeschreibung
RC-24L und RC-48L regeln die Geschwindigkeit von
Gleichstrom-Türantrieben durch Pulsbreitenmodula-
tion (PWM) mit Frequenzen im Bereich von 20 kHz.
Durch die Veränderung der Pulsweite wird der
Durchschnittswert der Spannung und dadurch die
Geschwindigkeit des Motors in der gewünschten
Weise in weiten Grenzen bei gutem Wirkungsgrad
beeinflußt.
Normalbetrieb
Während der Öffnungs- und Schließphase wird die
für die Türbewegung nötige Energiezufuhr über-
wacht und geregelt. Geschwindigkeitsänderungen
durch Reibungsverluste und Verunreinigungen im
Türlaufbereich werden dadurch vermindert.
Ein Schaltkreis zur Strombegrenzung des Motors
ermöglicht die Begrenzung der Schließkraft. Mit
Hilfe von Bremsstrom können auch Türen mit
hoher Masse aus hoher Geschwindigkeit wirkungs-
voll abgebremst werden.
Fehlerschutz
Die Regler sind gegen Überströme im Motor und
gegen Übertemperatur in der Leistungsstufe
geschützt. Eine eventuelle Überhitzung wird durch
eine rote LED angezeigt, und die Regelung schaltet
selbsttätig ab, bis die Normaltemperatur wieder
erreicht ist.
Anschluß an versaScreen-Lichtsensor-Systeme
Die Regler erzeugen die Versorgungsspannung für
versaScreen-Lichtsensor-Systeme und setzen deren
potentialfreien Kleinspannungsausgang auf zwei
Relaiskontakte mit 230 VAC/VDC Spannungsfestigkeit
um.
Kompatibilität mit Vorgängermodellen
Abgesehen vom versaScreen-Interface, sind die elek-
trischen Eigenschaften sowie die Anordnung der
Bedienelemente, Anzeigen und Stecker bei RC-24L
und RC-48L identisch zu ihren Vorgängern.

Functional description
RC-24L and RC-48L control the speed
of DC door drives by pulse width modulation
(PWM) using frequencies in the 20 kHz range.
By varying pulse width, average motor
voltage and hence motor speed are controlled
as desired, maintaining high efficiency at
the same time.
Normal operation
During opening and closing, energy required
for door movement is monitored and controlled.
This minimizes speed variations caused by
friction and contamination in the door
operating zone.
Current limiting keeps the
closing force below a pre-set level.
Braking current helps decelerating
heavy doors effectively even from
high speed.
Fault protection
The controllers are protected against motor overcur-
rent and power stage overtemperature. In case of
overtemperature, the fault is indicated by a red LED,
and the controller switches off automatically.
Operation resumes after temperature has returned
to its normal level.
Connection to versaScreen light sensor systems
The controllers provide versaScreen light
sensor systems with their supply voltage
and convert their extra-low voltage output
into two normally open relay contacts
rated for 230 VAC/VDC.
Compatibility with previous models
With exception of the versaScreen interface,
RC-24L and RC-48L have electrical characteristics
and placement of potentiometers, keys, indicators
and terminals that are identical to their predecesors.
