Delivery time
• To be agreed.
• For orders related to a project, delivery time is 4–8 weeks from order placement.
• The delivery time starts from the confirmation and approval of all commercial and technical documents.

Layer structure
• Structures are formed with 3, 5, 7, 8 or more layers and varying lamella thicknesses.
• CLT consists of at least three layers of single-layer panels. From five layers, CLT can also include middle layers
(transverse layers) without narrow side bonding.
• Formaldehyde-free adhesive is used for gluing surfaces, widths and finger joints.
• Maximum total thickness: 320 mm.
• In principle, deviations from the standard structures are only possible by request.

Tolerances
Cutting precision lies within the tolerances for building construction specified in DIN 18203, part 3, for timber and wood-based
wall, floor, ceiling and roof panel products.

Key data
We offer CLT rib panels made from Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and
glue-laminated timber (glulam) by Stora Enso. Enabling long span floor
and roof structures, CLT rib panels provide more flexible and attrac-
tive layouts e.g. commercial office buildings, residential constructions,
schools, industrial buildings, long span roofs, etc.

CLT rib panels are made in a climate-controlled environment. They can

be transported to the construction site just in time for assembly. CLT rib
panels can be installed quickly by just a few carpenters, using regular
tools.

Stora Enso’s CLT rib panels are CE-marked and have European technical
approval (ETA 17/0911).

Stora Enso CLT

Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) by Stora Enso is a solid wood construc-
tion product consisting of at least three single-layer panels that are
bonded together crosswise. CLT is available in different panel thick-
nesses depending on your structural requirements. We currently offer
dimensions up to 2.95 × 16.00 m.

8
Applications

For spans of 6 metres or more, rib panels provide an effective,

economical solution. They possess superior strength, stability
and high load-bearing capacity with a low weight and minimum Flexible, long span
material. This gives you new possibilities in design as well as
maximum structural performance using approx. 45% less
layouts for:
material. • office buildings
• residential buildings
You can use the space between the ribs to route cabling or other • schools
installations. This is also ideal for public buildings that require • industrial buildings
good acoustic characteristics. • long span roofs

Key
benefits
• Prefabrication allows you to build more
quickly and cost effectively
• Fast installation, no need for special
equipment
• Stronger structures with less material
• Savings in foundation costs thanks to a
low dead weight
• Architectural flexibility
• Avoids columns and beams to enable
free space and long spans
• Entirely sourced from renewable wood

Typical applications
in a multi-storey building

Stora Enso
Transport terms
You must adhere to the following terms and ensure compliance with them for Stora Enso:

1 Access to the building site must be suitable for a semi-trailer. You must ensure that the public roads leading to the
construction site can accommodate a semi-trailer with a total length of approx. 19 m.

2 Transport is understood as delivered to the named place of destination (DAP – Delivered At Place). This does not include
collection by the customer.

3 Transport costs are calculated based on a standard semi-trailer. If the construction site can only be accessed by a
special steerable semi-trailer or similar vehicle, the additional expense shall be charged to the customer.

4 A maximum of 50 m³ or 25 t of CLT solid-wood panels can be transported horizontally per truck load (depending on the
articulated truck). The loading order for the panels can only be complied with to the extent that this does not result in a
violation of traffic laws or impair transport conditions. Stora Enso reserves the right to change the loading order based
on the valid regulations for load securing.

5 If unforeseen events occur which are beyond Stora Enso’s control, Stora Enso shall be entitled to postpone delivery
correspondingly, even if such events only have an indirect effect on processing the order.

6 If goods are collected by the customer, the carrier must provide the appropriate equipment to ensure safe loading and
transport (see the information for collecting customers). If the equipment does not comply with the necessary stipu-
lations and thus optimum load securing cannot be guaranteed, Stora Enso shall not ship any items. The pick-up date
(time) must be communicated by telephone at least 24 hours before arrival at the factory, otherwise longer loading and
waiting times must be expected.

7 For shuttle services (if the trailer is unattached at the construction site), from the third working day, €75.00 (excluding
VAT) shall be charged per idle day. In addition, the customer shall be responsible for the integrity and correct stowage
of the trailer equipment (skids, straps, edge protectors, tarpaulins, etc.). Stora Enso shall charge the customer for any
missing equipment.

8 Transport costs and any additional costs resulting from idle, reloading or handling times shall be charged to the
purchaser. The transport price is understood to include 3 hours idle time for unloading but not including work required for
moving or unloading goods. The agreed price of €20.00 or €25.00 for articulated trailers (excluding VAT) shall be charged
separately for every additional quarter of an hour. The truck driver must sign the consignment note for any idle times.

9 Postponement of delivery: up to a period of 12 working days before delivery, delivery may be postponed at no charge to
the customer. If notice of delivery postponement is given less than 12 working days before delivery, €75.00 (excluding
VAT) will be charged per day postponed for storage and handling. This shall be based on the confirmed delivery day in
the element, freight and charging list.
If bad weather is anticipated during assembly of the CLT panels, the delivery date may be postponed for two working
days at no extra charge. After that time, €75.00 (excluding VAT) shall be charged per working day and truck.

10 Postponement of collection by collecting customers: up to a period of 12 working days before collection, collection
may be postponed at no charge to the customer. If notice of postponement of a collection is given less than 12 working
days before delivery, the load will be wrapped in packages and stored externally for a processing fee of €150.00 per
load (excluding VAT). The maximum storage time is 10 working days; after that time, postponement costs of €75.00
(excluding VAT) will be calculated per working day and per load. This shall be based on the confirmed collection day in
the element, freight and charging list. If bad weather is anticipated during assembly of the CLT panels, the collection date
may be postponed for two working days at no extra charge.

The items listed above regarding transport of Stora Enso CLT

solid wood panels are essential for the order to be agreed.
