Streng rechtwinklig gestaltet sind die Baukrper und Fassaden dieser Wohnanlage mit 43 Wohnungen im slowenischen Ljubljana. Im Gegensatz zu vielen herkmmlichen Wohnblocks erscheinen die Fassaden jedoch nicht monoton. Die grafische Anordnung der ffnungen bricht durch Abweichungen in Raster und Rhythmus und durch die unterschiedliche Gre und Tiefe der Fenster und Loggien die geometrische Strenge der Fassade. Alle ffnungen sind mit Stahlprofilen eingefasst. Przise wie eine umlaufende Schattenkante betont das Metall die reliefartige Wirkung der Auenwand, gleichzeitig hlt und schtzt es den Putz an den kritischen Eckpunkten. Die Farbgestaltung der Gebude unterstreicht die plastische Wirkung der Fassade: Sie unterscheidet die in gedecktem Grau gehaltene Fassadenebene von den auffllig gelben Wnden der Loggien und Eingnge. Das zurckspringende Dachgeschoss, das die Anlage kleinmastblicher erscheinen lsst, ist konsequenter Weise in einem hellen Sandton gehalten. Der Haupteingangsbereich ist ein lang gezogenes, aus dem kompakten Baukrper ausgespartes Rechteck, das in die Mitte des Gebudes zu dem innen liegenden Treppenhaus mit Aufzug fhrt. Right angles dominate the volumes and facades of this residential complex of 43 apartments in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana. Yet the strict geometry does not result in a monotonous impression, as the facades are enlivened by variation in the rhythm, size and depth of windows and loggias. All openings are precisely defined with a steel profile, the metal enhancing the relief effect on the outer wall and also protecting against damage to the rendering on the sensitive corners. Colour is used on the facade to enhance the sculptural effect: yellow on the walls of loggias and entrances, against the brown-grey of the facades and the sand-colour of the top storey, which is set back. Recessed into the centre of each compact volume is the long rectangle of the main entrance, leading to the internal lifts and stairs.
