Empec a disear la lmpara Discoc en 1997, pero
entonces no supe muy bien cmo realizarla. La retom
algunas veces a lo largo de estos diez aos, hasta
que dimos con la tecnologa y el proceso idneo.
El cerebro funciona por asociacin de ideas, as que
me gusta recurrir a la memoria colectiva al disear.
Las lmparas de Poul Henningsen, las series Fun DM
de Verner Panton y la lmpara Porca Miseria de Ingo
Maurer fueron puntos de referencia. Ese concepto de
una fuente de luz rodeada de elementos reectores-
difusores y de apantallamiento de la luz lo trabajamos
en con discos opacos de ABS inyectado y varillas
de aluminio inyectado. As el acabado es impecable
y el sistema de montaje no necesita tornillos.
Bei der Leuchte Discoc habe ich mich von
verschiedenen Klassikern inspirieren lassen,
insbesondere von Entwrfen Poul Henningsens
und der Serien Fun von Verner Panton. Die Leuchte
besteht aus opaken Polycarbonat-Scheiben, die wie
in einem Sonnensystem die Lichtquelle umgeben
und gleichzeitig Reektor und Diffuser sind. Die
Scheiben werden von gebogenen Aluminium-
Stangen gehalten, die der Leuchte eine dynamische,
sich ffnende Bewegung verleihen und eine Montage
ganz ohne Schrauben ermglichen.

Desde hace tiempo queramos hacer un aplique
de pared con leds. Cuando empezamos a trabajar,
nos dimos cuenta de que esta fuente de luz genera
temperatura y que necesitbamos disipar el calor.
As que una necesidad prctica se convirti en
el elemento esttico del producto, esta pantalla
disipador, que hicimos en aluminio inyectado
lacado. El nombre Zoo tiene que ver con lagranja.
Unos meses atrs, nos propusimos dar nombres
del mundo animal a nuestros productos. Algo que
en realidad cumplimos a medias, ya que tambin
hay que consensuar con los clientes.
Schon seit Langem wollten wir eine Wandleuchte
mit LEDs entwerfen. Um die entstehende Wrme
mglichst gut abzuleiten, haben wir in einem
achen Aluminium-Schirm die ideale Lsung
gefunden. Dieser ermglicht auerdem, durch
seine stufenlose Drehbarkeit, eine Vielzahl
unterschiedlicher Lichtsituationen. So ist aus
einem funktionalen Bestreben eine besondere
Eigenschaft und die sthetik des Produktes
entstanden. Der Name Zoo kommt von unserer
Idee all unseren Produkten Namen aus der Tierwelt
zu geben (Lagranja zu Deutsch: Bauernhof).

Esta lmpara la tenamos slo en versin de pared
y me pareci inteligente hacer una lmpara de
lectura, ya que las medidas reducidas de la pantalla
eran ideales para ello. Buscaba un resultado formal
poco estridente y sencillo, sin muchas pretensiones,
pero que estuviera bien estudiado en los aspectos
ergonmicos. Que el usuario pudiera dirigir fcilmente
el haz de luz, que hubiera poca temperatura en los
puntos de contacto con la mano y tambin que el
interruptor se integrara a la pantalla. Todo eso se
consigui y as es Led Pipe en versin pie.
Der groe Erfolg der 2006 gelaunchten LED-
Wandleuchte hat mich dazu motiviert die
Leuchtenfamilie weiter zu entwickeln. Die
Besonderheit der LEDpipe ist ihr sehr kleiner,
und mit integriertem Schalter sehr funktionaler,
Leuchtenkopf. Dieser kann durch ein Kugelgelenk
und eine gut abgeleitete Wrmeentwicklung sehr
einfach vom Nutzer justiert werden. Dadurch
werden die Stehleuchte und auch die neue kleinere
Wandversion mit ihrem fokussierten LED-Licht zu
einer idealen Lesebeleuchtung.

La esttica es el elemento esencial en esta familia
de lmparas. Para conseguir esa sosticacin
y elegancia fue fundamental el trabajo con las
proporciones generales. Tambin el uso de materia-
les, principalmente el policarbonato inyectado de
las pantallas, con sus colores y texturas diferentes.
Y, por supuesto, el sistema constructivo y el
acabado. Queramos un producto bien estudiado
que comunicara rpidamente que est hecho de
un modo impecable. Nos obsesionamos con la
sencillez formal y constructiva. La particularidad
de Nolita es ese brazo mvil que permite orientar la
pantalla. La silueta clsica se trastoca as levemente,
pero sin ceder en elegancia.
Nolita spielt mit der Silhouette und der sthetik einer
klassischen Leuchte. Dabei besticht ihre formale
Einfachheit vor allem durch die Besonderheit im
Detail, in der Farbigkeit und in der Textur. Mit ihrem
beweglichen Arm lsst sich der Polycarbonat-
Schirm sehr einfach und exible ausrichten. Diese
rafnierte Irritation der gewohnten Optik macht die
Nolita zu einer idealen Leseleuchte.

Amanita es una lmpara tipo seta. Hasta aqu, se
podra decir que es una lmpara de exterior como
otras de su estilo. Sin embargo, le hemos aadido
un componente simblico en la pantalla, que es
esta trama con motivos de geometra bsica que
se diseminan orgnicamente, sin retcula, por su
supercie. La trama abierta permite pasar la luz,
y de este detalle surge cierta perturbacin, tanto
en el concepto estndar, como en ese espacio de
embriaguez de los sentidos que es el jardn. De ese
modo, Amanita es algo ms que un punto de luz
difuso en medio del jardn y la vegetacin. A travs
de la trama libre y la luz que emana de ella, Amanita
consigue crear de forma simblica un urea mgica.

einfach erahnen. Das Besondere aber zeigt sich bei
Dunkelheit, wenn der Stiel und das Muster aus
geometrischen Formen erleuchtet werden. Dann wird
Sie zu einem ganz besonderen Orientierungspunkt.

Mercer se caracteriza por ser una lmpara bella
y elegante, con materiales de distinta naturaleza
creando as un producto espectacular.
Ahora la familia se ampla con dos nuevas texturas
en su difusor interior para buscar una interaccin con
espacios de corte ms contemporneo. En ambos
casos, el color se respeta. La pantalla de algodn
crudo cuenta con una nueva supercie lisa creando
una sensacin de suavidad y a la pantalla negra se
le aade un efecto dorado en su interior para aportar
nuevos matices a la iluminacin.

aus der Kombination von mundgeblasenem Glas
mit einem innen liegenden Baumwollschirm. Damit
begeisterte sie schon viele und so hat die beliebte
Familie jetzt Zuwachs bekommen. Zur Pendelleuchte
gesellen sich zwei kleinere Gren hinzu und zum
weien Schirm eine nicht plissierte Variante, die
eine wesentlich ruhigere Stimmung ausstrahlt.
Den schwarzen Schirm gibt es fortan auch mit
innen liegendem Goldton, durch den sehr schne
Lichteffekte entstehen.
