Frhe Mehrsprachigkeit an Kindertageseinrichtungen und Schulen

Der FMKS e.V. ist ein gemeinntziger Verein. Er
entstand im Jahr 2000 aus einer Kieler GrundschulElterninitiative.
Seine Mitglieder kommen aus dem Bundesgebiet und
dem Ausland. Es sind pdagogische Fachkrfte aus
Krippen, Kitas, Schulen, ganze Einrichtungen, Eltern,
Sprachwissenschaftler, Neurowissenschaftler, Sprachschulen, Studenten und andere. Im FMKS kommen
Erfahrung aus Praxis und wissenschaftlicher Forschung
zusammen. Ein Grndungsmitglied ist Prof. Henning
Wode. Er hat als Erster die deutsch-englische Immersion
in Deutschland 1996 in der bilingualen (zweisprachigen) AWO-Kita Altenholz/ Kiel und 1999 in der
bilingualen staatlichen Claus-Rixen-Grundschule
eingefhrt.

Die Ziele des FMKS sind

die frhe Mehrsprachigkeit zu frdern,
die Sprachlern-Methode Immersion bekannter zu
machen,
mehr Immersionsangebote in Krippen, Kitas und
Schulen zu erhalten, damit mehr Kinder, gleich welcher Herkunft, von Immersion profitieren knnen,
die Vernetzung aller an Mehrsprachigkeit Interessierten.

Mehrsprachigkeit
gewinnt immer mehr an Bedeutung. Sie ist eine Schlsselaqualifikation fr viele Berufe, erffnet persnliche
Perspektiven und schafft Zugang zu anderen Kulturen,
ist wichtig fr Frieden und Toleranz. Mehrsprachige
Menschen lernen leichter weitere Sprachen.
Frhe Mehrsprachigkeit hat positive Effekte auf die
kognitive Entwicklung, die Denkfhigkeit.
Ein mehrsprachiges Kind ist kreativer, lernt flexibel zu
denken, sucht alternative Lsungen und ist sprachlich
wendiger. Im Sinne der EU-Sprachenpolitik sollte es zur
Normalitt werden, dass jedes Kind drei Sprachen
seine Erstsprache und zwei Fremdsprachen auf einem
hohen Niveau erlernt, von klein an.

Die Immersionsmethode
ist die weltweit erfolgreichste Sprachlern-Methode.
Bei der Methode Immersion ist die neue Sprache von
Anfang an konsequent Umgangs- beziehungsweise
Unterrichtssprache. Dadurch erhalten Kinder die
Chance, sich die neue Sprache eigenstndig und individuell anzueignen, wie es beim Erwerb der Muttersprache geschieht. Immersion eignet sich fr alle Kinder, ist
ohne Druck und berfordert nicht. Jedes Kind verfgt
ber die erforderlichen Fhigkeiten, Sprachen zu
erwerben.

Immersion in bilingualen Krippen

Die Fremdsprache ist Alltags- beziehungsweise

Umgangssprache.
Eine Erziehungskraft spricht nur deutsch, die andere
nur die neue Sprache. Sie begleitet nach dem
Prinzip Eine Person eine Sprache alles, was sie
tut, mit einer reichhaltigen Sprache. Und alles, was
sie sagt, begleitet sie mit Gesten und Zeigen.
Die fremdsprachliche Kraft ist Muttersprachler
oder beherrscht die Fremdsprache auf sehr hohem
Niveau.

Immersion in der Schule heit:

Der Unterricht findet in der Fremdsprache statt,
mglicht in allen Fchern bis auf das Fach Deutsch.
Die Inhalte des Unterrichts stehen anschaulich im
Mittelpunkt, nicht die Sprache.
Immersions-Unterricht wird ber mehrere Jahre
angeboten. Bei Bilingualem Unterricht werden
einzelne Schulfcher in der Fremdsprache unterrichtet.
Bei Immersion leiden Muttersprache und Unterrichtsinhalte nicht, sonden profitieren sogar.
