 Type of vanilla plant

1. Vanili Pompana Scheide

- Many are cultivated in Central America.
- Has less quality than other vanilla plants.

2. Vanili Tahitiensis J.W. Moore

- The same as vanilla Pompana
Schiede both types of vanilla have a
lower price.
- This vanilla plant also developed
in Papua New Guinea.

3. Vanili Planifolia Andrews

- Many developed in tropical regions,
including in Indonesia.
- Is a vanilla that has a higher price
compared to the other two types.

ECOLOGY
Vanilla plants are able to grow well in areas with a height of
800m to 1000m above sea level.

Vanilla plants are able to live and grow in warm, humid,

tropical climate with regular rainfall and not excessive.

The optimal temperature for the growth of vanilla plants is

at 21-31oC which if averaged at 27 oC.

To stimulate the growth of flowers in vanilla plants, it also

takes two to three months the weather is rather dry and
rather cold.
