Er dient als Fuhrungs- und Funkzelle in den Stiben der Bataillone, in den Brigaden und Divisionen sowie in den KompaniefUheungsgrup- ‘pen der selbstindigen Kompanien der gepanzerten Kampf- und Un- {erstitzungstruppen. Von diesem Fabrzeug aus wurden die unterstell- ten Einheiten gefihet und die Verbindung 2u den vorgesetzten Kom- mandos und Nachbarverbinden gehalten. Die ersten Fuhrungs- und Punkpanzer M 113 in der Bundeswehr waren noch die Ursprungsver ‘sion mit Chrysler Vergasermotor und wurden hauptsichlich in den Panzer- und Panzergrenadierbataillonen cingesetzt, Im Laufe des Truppendienstes wurden die Fahrzeuge ,germanisiert™ und spiter mit einem Dieselmotor versehen (M 113 Al FUu). Die 18 verschie- denen Versionen des M113 FUFu unterscheiden sich hauprsichlieh durch die eingebsauten, unterschiedlichen Ristsitze und Funkgerite, ‘Auferliches Merkmal ist bei den Fahreeugen die am Heck in Fahrt- Fichtung links montierte 6 m ausfahsbare Kurhelmastantenne und das Stromerzeugungsaggregat (SEA) 0,75 KVA auf dem Wannendach. Der dberwiegende Teil der M 113 FaFu verfigt dariber hinaus aber ine rechteckige Staukisterechts auf dem Fahrzeug. In der He struktur 4 (1980er Jahre) verfigte die Deutsche Bundeswehr Uber insgesamt 792 Folrungs- und Funkpanzer M 113 mit dem RUststand M113,A2 GE. Die Fahrzeuge telten sich wie folg auf: Panzertruppe Panzergrenadiertruppe 188 Fahrreuge 164 Fahrzeuge 68 Fahrecuge 245 Fahrzeuge 44 Fahrzeuge Fahrzeuge 12 Fahrzouge Panzeraufklirungstruppe Panzerjigertuppe Fernmeldetruppe Weitere M 113 FUFu waren bei den Truppenschulen in Verwendung und insgesamt 20 Fahrzeuge befanden sich in Depots als Umlaute: serve. In der Regel verfigien die Panzer- und Panzergrenadierbatail- Jone in der Stabs- und Versorgungskompanie aber zwei Fahrungs- ‘und Punkpanzer M113 in der Fernmeldegruppe sowie ein Fabrzeug, dieses Typs in der Kfz Gruppe (Kette). Die Panzeraufklirungsbatail- Jone setzten neben dem M 113 des Fliegeleittrupps im Fermmelde- zug der Stabs- und Versorgungskompanie zwei M 113 FUFu ein. Jede Panzerautklirungskompanie hatte in der Kompaniefthrungsgruppe einen M 113 FUFu, Jede Batterie der Panzerartllericbataillone besa in der Batteriefuheungseruppe einen M.113 FUFu sowie weitere in der Stabs- und Versorgungshatteri. Besonders erwidhnenswert sind die Versionen Fi M 113 EVOX 1/3, 1/3 und EVOX 1/6. EVOX. (Elerovox), der deutschen Herstllerirma Siemens AG ist ein spe- zielles Sprachschlisselgerit zum Verschldsseln des Funkverkehs, ‘Von der Version FuFu M 113 EVOX 1/3 waren zwei Fahrzeuge vor- hhanden, weitere 53 Fahrzeuge EVOX 1/3 A in den Stabskompanien der Brigaden und Divisionen (Gefechtsstand Haupt) sowie in der Panzerautklirungstruppe. Die Version FUFu M 113 EVOX 1/6 gab es nur einmal in der Stabskompanie der Deutsch-FranzBsischen Bri- sgade. Die Panzeraufklirungstruppe verwendete insgesamt 14 FUFa ML13 mit einer besonders leistungsFahigen Funkausstartung HF 400 w. Berets im Jahre 1999 hatte sich der Bestand der Fuheungs- und Punkpanzer auf Grund det Redusierung und Umstrukturierung der Deutschen Bundeswehr auf 625 Fahrzeuge reduziert. Sie wurden nicht mehr einer Nutzungsdaververlangerung. (NDV) unterzogen und inawisehen aus der Nutzung genommen. The bulk of the M 113 FUFu fleet also features a square storage box on the right side of the roof. Usually the Stabs- und Versorgungskompanien of Panzerbatsillone and anzergrenadiesbataillone could field two Fuhrungs- und Funkpanzer M113 Command and Communication Vehicles in their signal sections and another ‘one in their Kfz Gruppe (Keite) (tracked motor transport section). The Panz~ ceraufkirungsbataillone fielded two M 113 FUFu vehicles in the Fernmelderug of the Stabs- und Versorgungskompanie in addition to the M 113 of the Flieg- crleitrupps (Forward Air Controller teams). Each Panzeraufklirungskom- ppanie featured an M 113 FuFu in its Kompanicfihrungsgruppe (company headquarters section). Uber dem Fahrerraum befindet sich die Fahrerluke mit vier Winkelspiegeln und einer Aufnahmevorrichtung fr das IR-Fahrgerit. Die Kommandantenluke im vorderen Teil des cthihten Arbeitsraumes hat keine optisehen Einrichtungen. Der rund 6 PS starke Hilfsstromerzeuger kann an seinem Platz in der Halterung ‘oder vom Fahrzeug abgesetat betrieben werden, Zum Absetzen und ‘Aufinehmen befindet sich auf dem Fahrzeug ein Schwenkarm mit Fla- schenzug, der zum Bewegen des Hilfsstromerzeugers in die entspre: chende Halterung eingesetzt wird.
