Deutsche sind nicht alle Rassisten, auf keinen Fall,

sondern in Deutschland gibt es so 'ne bestimmte Reserviertheit,

but in Germany there's a certain reservedness,

so'n bisschen 'ne andere Kultur. Es ist nicht so einfach,

Wie ist denn der typische Deutsche?

Dass man auf den ersten Blick denkt "Oh Gott, die ist aber arrogant oder so"

und dass man dann erstmal so'n bisschen arbeiten muss,

Mann kann auch nüchtern feiern - Ich hab' auch schon ohne!

Martin war mal ein Jahr lang nüchtern feiern, das war ganz gut.

Also da würd' ich ehrlich gesagt nicht den Chat empfehlen,

aber da gibt's ja hier in Münster schon einige Anlaufstellen,

but here in Münster there are a few contact points

wo man sich in dann auch mal Freizeittechnisch irgendwie

where you can kind of look around a bit for friends

nen bisschen umgucken kann nach Freunden,

to meet in your free time,

also zum Beispiel im Gleis oder… was gibt's denn noch,

for example at Gleis (cafe/club in Münster) or... what else is there,

es gibt dahinten noch an der Warendorferstraße

back there on Warendorferstraße there's

ein so'n Begegnungszentrum, ähm,

a kind of meeting centre, erm,
ich glaube da muss man einfach mal ein bisschen
there I think you just have to keep your eyes open

die Augen offen halten und am Freizeitprogramm teilnehmen,

a little bit and take part in the free time programme,

das ist glaub' ich die einfachste Methode.

Und was würdest du jemandem, der neu kommt

Ähm, die Sprache glaub' ich ist nicht so das Problem,

Erm, I don't think the language is so much the problem,

man kann sich ja auf Englisch… kommt man ja im Moment

you can... you can get by fine in English now.

gut klar. Ähm, ich würd' sagen einfach offen

Erm, I'd say just approach people openly,

auf die Leute zugehen, in der Schule vielleicht

maybe at school

oder sich irgendwelchen Hobbies anschließen,

or join some hobbies,

da gibt es ja so Sportgruppen oder so.

there are sports groups or things like that.

Ja ich mein' das Ding ist wahrscheinlich,

Yeah I think the thing is probably

dass man relativ offen sein muss ne?

that you have to be pretty open, you know?

Also und vielleicht auch so'n bisschen, dass man

And maybe also a bit that you think

sich überlegt, dass man gar nicht so viel wagen muss,

that you really don't have to risk much,

weil man auch gar nicht so viel verliert,

because you really don't lose much,

weil es ist so einfach mal denken "Ja, ist mir

because it's so easy to think "Yeah, it basically

im Prinzip auch egal", ich glaub' dann ist man am besten.

Am besten an Orten, wo auch viele Leute sind,

in öffentlichen Einrichtungen, in 'ner Kirche

oder in Moscheen, was auch immer, also, da am besten.

or in mosques, whatever, so, those places are the best.

Auf Partys findet man da auch Freunde?

Theoretisch… also es ist natürlich erstmal

Theortically... at first it's obviously

ein bisschen oberflächig, aber ähm… ja, man muss die Leute
a bit superficial, but erm... yeah, you just have to get to know

halt kennenlernen, es ist ein Prozess, den halt jeder

Also ich lern im Ausland irgendwie witzigerweise
