The low D' may be replaced with an 'F#" in this movement.

Stravinsky revised his work in 1941. He wrote thesections fromSceneI entirely


in treble clef, thus resolving the bass clef/treble clef ambiguity. This version was
included for study purposes. The composer also changed the low D in scene III
to a low F#. In general practice, if your instrument has the extended low range, the
D is used in order to maintain the two octave spread between the first clarinet and
the bass clarinet. If it does not, the F# should be substituted.
