Thema der ersten zwei Takte entwickelt sich eine Gruppe von acht Takten, die mehrmalswieder-
kehren,und zwarTakt 18 bis 26, 4r bis 48 und 57 bis SchluB.Die Wiederkehr (italienisch:ritornello)
dieser Gruppen wird durch Zwischenspielezum ersten Satz verbunden. Der kurze zweite Satz hat
die Form eines ,,Siciliano", d. i. ein nach ruhigen sizilianischenTanzliedern gebildetesStùck von
sanftem Charakter. Die Takte r3 und 14 des Siciliano leiten ùber zu dem heiteren Allegro assai.
Die ersten 16 Takte diesesAllegro wiederholensich mehrmals,und zwar Takt +3 bis 58, 75 bis 9o,
99 bis rr4. Sie werden wie das erste Allegro moderato durch Zwischenspielezu einem Satz geformt.

The present Concertino follows the form of the ltalian concerto. From the rhythmically pregnant
theme in the frrst two measures,a group of eight measuresis developed,which is constantlyrepeated,
-namely, measures18 to 26,4r to 48,and 57 to the end.The returns (Italian: ritornello) of thesegroups
are connectedby intermediate passagesto form the frrst movement. The short secondmovement
takes the form of a "Siciliano",-i. e., a pieceof serenecharacterbasedupon quiet Siciliandancing-
songs' Measures13 and 14 of the Siciliano lead into the joyous Allegro assai.The first sixteen
measuresof this Allegro are repeate<lseveraltimes,-namely measures43 to 58,
75 to 9o, and 99
to rr4. Theseare connectedinto a movement by interludal passagesas in the ûrst Allegro moderato.
