The 18th October 2016
No. 11/Adhi. Karya.-01-06/2016/4029—In exercise of the powers conferred
under Section 12 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016, the State Government
hereby appoints the following officers other than the officers of the Registration, Excise and
Prohibition Department as the “Excise Officer” under the Act with immediate effect :–
(i) Additional Collector of a District – for the entire district;
(ii) Sub Divisional Magistrates - for the entire sub division;
(iii) Deputy Collector Land Reforms - for the entire sub division;
(iv) All Senior Deputy Collectors of a District – for the entire district;
(v) All Executive Magistrates of a District – for the area of their local jurisdiction;
(vi) All Block Development Officers – for the entire block;
(vii) All Circle Officers – for the entire Circle.
