ASSESSMENT TOOL
The HEXCO continuous assessment tool used on apprentices and students on industrial attachment is used to assess students’
performances.

Scoring scale: The acceptable mark in a continuous assessment is 6 points out of 10. Anything below 6 is not a performance, but an
attempt.

Below is the scoring scale:

 10 points – a perfect performance which meets, in particular, the standard/requirement. Excellent


 8 points – a performance which meets the general requirements. (good-very good)
 6 points – a performance with short comings but meets the requirements (satisfactory)
 0 points – a performance with short comings which are not acceptable (poor)
