* Here the dotted half note ( J • ) is introduced. A dot placed after a note adds to the note one half of its value; thus, a half
note has two beats and the dot, one beat — making a total of three beats. You will also find a quarter rest I ; its value,
one beat.

Hier wird die halbe Note mit einem Punkt eingeführt ( J .). Ein Punkt hinter einer Note erhöht diese um die Hälfte
ihres Wertes; also hat eine halbe Note zwei Taktschläge und der Punkt einen — was im Ganzen drei Taktschläge ergibt.
Hier findet sich auch eine Viertelpause l ; ihr Wert ist ein Taktschlag.
