1. Why are picture books attractive to children? In what way do

picture help in the understanding of the stories?
A picture book aids children in comprehending what they
are reading, allowing new readers to examine the story. If
children are having trouble understanding the words, the
drawings can assist them in figuring out the story, increasing
their comprehension. Picture books are an important aspect of
learning to read for young readers. For many children, this type
of style is the initial step in introducing them to reading and the
beginning of their language development.

2. What are the elements to consider in a picture book?

 Evaluate
Choose a simple story and make a picture book out of it or you could

1. What could be described as Realistic Fiction?

Realistic fiction is a story written about events that did not
actually happen but could have happened; the people, events and places
may be real. It is a classification of literature containing stories that could
actually happen, in a time and setting that is plausible and contains
realistic characters. Realistic fiction is created from the author’s imagination
but uses historical events. The following are characteristics of realistic
fiction.

2. At what age should a teacher introduce Realistic Fiction? Explain your

answer?
Personally, realistic fiction can be introduce starting from grade 2 levels,
Realistic fiction is a powerful way to help young readers gain a deeper
understanding of real-world challenges and relationships. It's also a great way
to let kids see themselves in, and empathize with, characters in similar
circumstances to them.

3. What is meant by “Coming-of-age theme”? Could you give some

examples of such stories?
A coming-of-age story is a literary, theatrical, film, and video genre
that depicts a protagonist's transition from childhood to adulthood, or
"coming of age." Coming-of-age stories are generally set in the past and
stress dialogue or internal monologue over action. For example, in J.D.
Salinger's work The Catcher in the Rye, J.D. Holden Caufield, a young
guy going through the maturation process, as depicted by Salinger.

4. What is the use of “humor” in Realistic Fiction? Could you give

television shows that cater to these kinds?
In general, humor is employed to entertain readers and to help
characters become memorable and valuable. Unlike fantasies, where the
humor is sometimes ludicrous, it is frequently utilized to release the
tension in sensitive circumstances in realistic fiction. The television
show "Friends" is an example of realistic fiction with a humorous bent.
The characters' individual and collective desire for sex, commitment,
and meaning is the focus of the show. The pals are made up of three
men and three women with a wide range of personalities and flaws that
allow for broad audience identification as well as plenty of funny
situations.

1. EXPLAIN “The imaginary world captures us; its underlying
moves us.”
Throughout the years I have found myself creating
imaginary places across the world and scenes that have effects
on me. Some had put me in dark places while others have lifted
my feelings. I have start to notice the power of imaginary world
because they are my thoughts and my focused level is intense
because I have shut down my real world with no distractions.
As I close my eyes and let my imagination run wild I found
myself enjoying, feeling, doing the things that I can’t do in
reality, because imaginary world captures me. The things that
you can’t do in reality in our imaginary world everything is
impossible so we are being move by it.
