Translating into English

1. Wohngemeinschaften – übersetzen Sie den Text ins Englische.

Man könnte sagen, dass Wohngemeinschaften in den deutschsprachigen Ländern ein wenig anders sind.

Wohngemeinschaften waren zuerst einmal typisch für Studenten: Man muss sich nur einmal vorrechnen,

dass in einer Stadt wie Wien, wo an der Universität Wien alleine fast 100 000 Studenten registriert sind,

You could say, that shared apartments in the German speaking countries are a little different. Shared

apartments were once typical for students :You have to only work out for once , that in a city like Vienna,

where almost 100 000 students alone are registered at the university of Vienna, dormitories with a total of

about 10 000 places cannot be enough. You cannot be able to afford your own an apartment so you are

looking for a room in a shared apartment. With a bit of luck the shared apartment will then take over the

family function.
