Task explain the process

of something happening.

How did the universe

come into existence?

"The 'how' is 'relatively easy' because
it has been proven on a macro level by
Albert Einstein, Georges Lemaître and
other physicists, cosmologists and
astronomers. So far, the most
accepted model with clear traces in
space is the big bang model.

Humans can trace it as far back as

tens of billions of years ago based on
observations of matter and energy
scattered in the vacuum of space.
Initially, the universe (observable, not
quantum theory) was concentrated
into a singularity of infinite density and
heat.

(In the laws of thermodynamics,

equilibrum/equilibrium involves the
conversion of heat to cold)

2
Until it finally erupted and expanded, 'spewing' all
sorts of material and energy and then getting
cooler and continuing to expand until now.

You must have seen infographics like this a lot:

2
There are also those who describe it in
terms of temperature:

2
In life on planet Earth, a similar simulation
model can be done with the help of particle
accelerator technology that only a few
countries or institutions have. There, atoms
and sub-atomics can be split and made to
travel at the speed of light with
electromagnetic fields, and then collided
and converted into energy as pure as
possible from their initial atomic mass.

*Recall Einstein's special relativity E = m.c^2

where matter is proportional to the energy
it has at the speed of light (300,000
km/sec). A simple analogy:

Imagine you can extract pure energy from

the atoms of 1 tablespoon of water, it could
be comparable to a dozen kilotons of TNT
(equivalent to the power of the Hiroshima
nuclear bomb).

2
The principle of making nuclear bombs (as
well as hydrogen bombs) and nuclear
reactors is just like that; with tremendous
pressure and heat applied to the rare metal
uranium which has an extraordinary density
and an extraordinary calorific value as well.

2
Those who have seen the sci-fi superhero
series The Flash (starring Gustin Grant) will
be familiar with S.T.A.R. Lab. Lab.

However, it is not an absolute-definitive

answer (it will stand the test of time)
because human science and technology
are constantly evolving. To name just a few,
there are quantum theories and worlds that
emerged after the theory of relativity,
which touch on the discussion of matter in
a very small way.
