All boards mounted in this unit use lead-free solder. Be sure to use lead-free solder when repairing the
boards of this unit. A lead free mark (LF) indicating that the solder contains no lead is printed on each
board.
(Caution: Some printed circuit boards may not come printed with the lead free mark due to their particular
size.)
n
. The lead-free solder melts at a temperature about 40 dC higher than the ordinary solder, therefore, it is
recommended to use the soldering iron having a temperature regulator.
. The ordinary soldering iron can be used but the iron tip has to be applied to the solder joint for a slightly
longer time. The printed pattern (copper foil) may peel away if the heated tip is applied for too long, so
be careful.
2-1. Preparation
Connect each equipment according to the illustration below. Set the IP address of PC to 192.168.0.50.

n
. Be sure to perform the adjustment after the replacement of the SY-433 board, and then perform “2-3.
Procedure for SY-433 Board Replacement”. If not, it may cause such trouble that the IP address cannot
be acquired in DHCP and this unit does not operate normally.
. Perform the adjustment in the sequential order as described.
. Model name displayed on screen in this section differs from model to model.
1. By referring to the connection diagram in Section 2-1-3, connect each device. Then, place the Sie-
mens star chart 1.2 m ahead of the lens.
2. Set the video mode switch to NTSC.
3. Turn on the power of each device, and check that the image of this unit is
normally displayed. Adjust the position so that the Siemens star chart is at the
center of the image.
4. Click “FlangeBackApp_Auto.exe” to start the flange back adjustment software.

n
Never touch this unit while “Adjust…” is displayed (during auto-adjustment).
If the camera position is moved or the zoom/focus operation is performed during the adjustment, the
adjustment cannot be performed correctly.
8. Check that “OK” is displayed.
The adjustment is completed in approximately 3 and a half minutes after repeating the auto-adjust-
ment at wide-end and tele-end several times.
n
. If the adjustment is not completed within 5 minutes and there is no change in the image (lens does
not move from wide-end to tele-end), turn the power of this unit off and on again and perform the
adjustment again.
. In case that the adjustment is NG, the following can be considered the probable cause.
. The distance between the Siemens star chart and the camera is too short.
. There is an obstacle between the camera and the Siemens star chart.
. There is a problem in the environment during adjustment.
Check the above and perform the adjustment again.
9. Exit the flange back adjustment software.
2. Type the IP address (192.168.0.100) of camera, and then click the [CONNECT] button.
