In Goethe Zertifikat SD1 and ÖSD Zertifikat A1, we need to write aN E-Mail, in which you need to reply to 3

given points. Important things to remember while writing an E-Mail in the examination:

 E-Mail must contain at least 30 words.

 Reply to 3 given points
 Salutation and greeting at the end of the letter

Once you are done writing your E-Mail, follow the 5-revision-Rule. (5-Wiederholungsregel) and each time,
you check specific elements:

1. In the first revision, check the spellings. Make sure, the first letter of all nous must be capital. If you
are not sure of any spelling, try to use another word.
2. In the second revision, check for the Verb conjugation( Ich gehe, du gehst, wir gehen) and the
position of the verb. In sentences, verb always come at the second position.
3. In the third revision, check the punctuation marks (comma, full stop, question mark etc.) For
example:

4. In the firth revision, check the prepositions. For example:
1. Ich komme am Montag um 18:00 Uhr. I will come on Monday at 18:00.
I'm waiting for an email.
2. Ich warte auf eine Mail.
5. In the fifth revision, count the number of words. They must be al least 30. If not, add extra words
like:
1. Bis bald! 1. See you soon!
2. Bis später! 2. See you later!
3. I am looking forward to your answer.
3. Ich freue mich auf deine Antwort.
4. I don't look forward to your reply.
4. Ich freue nich auf Ihre Antwort.
5. We'll see each other soon!
5. Wir sehen uns bald! 6. Have a nice day.
