Wie bei allem, muss man in Maßen essen. Denn wir leben nicht, um zu essen, wir essen, um zu leben. In
Deutschland versuchen sie sich an diesen Spruch zu halten.
Die deutsche Küche steht international nicht an der Spitze, aber sie ist reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich.
Das typische "deutsche” Essen gibt es genauso wenig, wie das englische, französische oder italienische.
Aber jede Landschaft und jedes Bundesland hat eigene Spezialitäten. Die Weißwurst z.B. ist in München
und Bayern sehr beliebt, während man in Schwaben, im Bundesland Baden-Württemberg, Teigwaren wie
Spätzle und Maultaschen (mit Hackfleisch gefüllte Teigtaschen) besonders gern isst. Thüringen ist für seine
Rostbratwurst, die Stadt Lübeck in Schleswig-Holstein für Marzipan und die Stadt Dresden in Sachsen für
den Christstollen bekannt.
Deutschland hat jedoch auch was zum Trinken zu bieten. In Deutschland wird jedes Jahr über 100 Millionen
Hektoliter Bier erzeugt. So ist die BRD nach den Vereinigten Staaten an der zweiten Stelle der
Bierproduktion. Bekannt ist jedoch auch der deutsche Wein. Die Meißner Weinberge sind in der Welt am
nördlichsten gelegen.
Deutsches Nationalgericht ist ohne Zweifel Schweinebraten mit Knödeln und Kraut. Dazu passt natürlich
ein Glas Bier. Der rege Tourismus und die Anwesenheit zahlreicher ausländischer Bürger in der
Bundesrepublik haben auch dazu geführt, dass inzwischen viele Restaurants von z.B. Italienern, Griechen,
Türken, Chinesen und Spaniern eröffnet wurden. Diese Speiselokale stellen eine große Bereicherung dar.
In Deutschland geht man gern zum Essen aus, allerdings nicht so oft, wie dies in anderen Ländern der Fall
ist. Die Preise für ein Essen sind genauso unterschiedlich, wie bei uns auch. Eine Imbissbude oder Snackbar,
an der man seine Bratwurst im Stehen verzehrt, ist natürlich viel billiger als ein Restaurant.
Bei Jugendlichen sind die Filialen bekannter Schnellimbissketten (wie z.B. McDonald‘s) besonders beliebt.
Hier gibt es internationale Standardgerichte wie Hamburger und Cheeseburger. Man kann sie auch
eingepackt mitnehmen. Auf Druck der Verbraucher sind viele Schnellimbissrestaurants dazu übergegangen,
anstatt der umweltschädlichen Verpackungen umweltfreundliche Materialien zum Verpacken der Speisen zu
verwenden.
Wie die meisten Länder beschränkt sich auch Deutschland nicht auf nationale Gerichte. Jetzt kann jeder, ob
Tourist oder Einheimischer, sowohl in Lokalen mit ausländischer Küche essen als auch einheimische
Gerichte schmecken.

Th. 1 Describe your feelings as 5th year student.

The first year of university was the most complicated for me. During this time, not only the student himself,
but also his parents are worried about it. At the same time, you feel delighted and excited. You are inspired
by your new place of study and thrilling to learn new things. These wonderful feelings can be overshadowed
by your confusion about the number of assignments and the time you have to spend on it.
Now, looking back, you realize that it wasn't all for nothing. Вut being in your fifth year of higher education
can make you feel frustrated because most of your former classmates have graduated. Most students have
already fed up with their fourth year, and unfortunately, the fifth year makes them feel even more miserable.
Some of them feel an intense aversion to assignments and exams that have become trite. I've had the same
thoughts, and I think the rest of the students have, too. However, spending time with groupmates and great
lecturers helps students to get away from these feelings. And I am certainly no exception.

Why is education important?

Education is crucial. Considering how fast our world is changing, to declare education
outdated is rather immature. You may hear this from adults who have stopped learning once
they have finished school or from an obnoxious little child who thinks learning is too
complicated. But the worst is when you hear it from your classmate who attends university
with you. We may hear trite excuses that it is useless to learn anything now and everything
can be instantly found on the Internet. Notwithstanding, on the other hand, we have seen an
increase in requirements from employers for future employees. And an obligatory
requirement in almost every curriculum vitae is the desire and ability to develop one's skills.
Thereby, people of all ages should conceive what they can get with a little effort. These
attempts to negate the importance of education provide reasons for a good debate. And now
we will demonstrate those reasons that denote our position on the importance of education.
Education Builds Confidence. When a child learns to read and write they become more
confident in their abilities and it helps build personal confidence too. And it also helps you to
perceive the other person's character and personality better. It is the same as you get older.
Feeling good about yourself and what you know is a big confidence booster. In support of
this statement, we can cite the ancient Chinese thinker and philosopher Confucius, who said
"Education breeds confidence. Confidence breeds hope. Hope breeds peace".
Education Can Protect You. Education can protect you more than you know, not only on a
financial level, but it can help prevent you from being taken advantage of by knowing how to
read and write, such as knowing not to sign any bogus documents. This claim allows us to
allude to the statement of Dr. John G. Hibben, who said that education is an ability to meet
life's situations. What this statement touches upon is the next point about the importance of
education, as it deals with money.
Education Provides Stable Life. You need to be educated to get a good job so that you can
be financially stable in your life. That might mean you are trained in one specific field or
well educated in lots of different things. Education is essential to learn, thrive, and excel in
the real world. But there is also the converse view. Good education costs a lot of money.
People on low incomes either go into huge debts or cannot afford it. In some countries, the
curriculum is out of date and higher education may not always get you a prestigious, well-
paid job.
Economic Growth On A National Level. An educated society is crucial for economic
growth. We need people to continue to learn and research in order to constantly stay
innovative. Countries with higher literacy rates also prone to be in better economic
situations. With a more educated population, more employment opportunities are opened.
Walter Cronkite's citation perfectly demonstrates the importance of education to the
economy: "Whatever the cost of our libraries, the price is cheap compared to that of an
ignorant nation".
We are forced to conclude that education is one of the pillars of our society. Let us append
that man can exist without education in today's society, but if we compare the boundaries
that expand a person as soon as he picks up a book, there is no point in contradicting the vital
necessity of education. The civilised countries are seeking ways to improve the quality of
education and the level of literacy of the population. We would like to conclude by
underscoring that growth and education is a duty not only to oneself, one's parents or
relatives but also to society. An educated society is not only a successful and happy future
for us, but also for our children.
