Das idyllisch im Havelland gelegene Schloss Paretz wurde 1797 für Königin
Luise von Preußen errichtet, die hier mit ihrem Gemahl Friedrich Wilhelm III.
glückliche Sommeraufenthalte verlebte. In der Königswohnung des
frühklassizistischen Hauses sind die bemalten und bedruckten Papiertapeten
besonders sehenswert. Schloss und Dorf Paretz sind zudem Schauplatz
vielfältiger kultureller Veranstaltungen.

Paretz House, idyllically situated in the Havelland countryside, was built in 1797
for Queen Luise of Prussia, who spent happy months here in the summers with
her consort Frederick William III. The painted and printed wallpapers in the royal
apartment of the early classicist manor house are particularly worth seeing.
Besides this, the palace and the village of Paretz are venues for a broad variety
of cultural events.
