zunchst mchten wir Ihnen zum Erwerb Ihres Gertes gratulieren.
Bitte lesen Sie die folgenden Anschluss- und Anwendungshinweise sorgfltig durch und befolgen Sie diese um mglichen technischen Schden vorzubeugen.

Trennen Sie die Netzverbindung bei Strmen und Gewitter, wenn das Gert lngere Zeit nicht in Benutzung ist
oder wenn Sie die Wohnung verlassen.
Dieses Gert ist kein Spielzeug. Kinder sollten es nur unter Aufsicht benutzen und auf keinen Fall Gegenstnde in
Belftungsffnungen stecken.

Aufstellung

Achtung - Stellen Sie keine Quellen offener Flammen, z.B. brennende Kerzen, auf das Gert.
Stellen Sie das Gert auf eine trockene, ebene, wasserfeste und hitzebestndige Oberflche.
Suchen Sie einen Aufstellort, an dem Kinder nicht an das Gert gelangen knnen.
Die Steckdose muss leicht zugnglich sein, um im Notfall das Gert schnell vom Stromkreis trennen zu knnen.
Installieren oder positionieren Sie dieses Gert nicht in einem Bcherregal, Einbauschrank oder einem sonstigen
engen Raum. Stellen Sie eine gute Belftung des Gertes sicher.
Stellen Sie das Gert nicht auf Verstrker oder andere Gerte, die hei werden knnen. Diese Hitze knnte das
Gert beschdigen.
Setzen Sie dieses Gert keinen bermigen Erschtterungen aus.

Kleine Objekte/Verpackungsteile
(Plastikbeutel, Karton, etc.)
Bewahren Sie kleine Objekte (z.B. Schrauben und anderes Montagematerial, Speicherkarten) und
Verpackungsteile auerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern auf, damit sie nicht von diesen verschluckt
werden knnen. Lassen Sie kleine Kinder nicht mit Folie spielen. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr!

Transport des Gertes

Bitte bewahren Sie die Originalverpackung auf. Um einen ausreichender Schutz beim Transport des Gertes zu erreichen,
verpacken Sie das Gert in der Originalverpackung.

Reinigung der ueren Oberflche

Verwenden Sie keine flchtigen Flssigkeiten, wie Insektensprays. Durch zu starken Druck beim
Abwischen knnen die Oberflchen beschdigt werden. Gummi- oder Plastikteile sollten nicht ber einen lngeren
Zeitraum mit dem Gert in Kontakt sein. Nutzen Sie ein trockenes Tuch

Hinweise zur Fernbedienung:

Um das Gert mit der Fernbedienung zu bedienen, richten Sie diese in einem Winkel von maximal 30 auf den InfrarotSensor an der Gertefront (6). Die Reichweite betrgt etwa 5 Meter. Hindernisse knnen die Funktion stren.
Die Fernbedienung wird inklusive einer passenden Batterie vom Typ CR2032 geliefert.
Entnehmen Sie vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme die Isolierende Folie auf dem Batteriefach.
Beim Batteriewechsel gehen Sie bitte vor, wie
in der nebenstehenden Skizze.
ACHTUNG:

Tauschen Sie die Batterie ausschlielich

gegen Modelle des gleichen Typs aus.
Stellen Sie unbedingt sicher, dass die Polaritt der in der Skizze angegebenden
entspricht.
Entnehmen Sie die Batterie, wenn Sie die
Fernbedienung ber einen lngeren Zeitraum hinweg nicht gebrauchen und bewahren Sie sie an einem geeigneten Ort (ohne weitere Metallteile und bestenfalls in einem kleinen Plastikbeutel
oder hnlichem) auf.
Laden Sie Batterien niemals auf. berhitzung und Zerplatzen knnen die Folge sein, verbunden mit dem Austritt
ungesunder Substanzen.
Halten Sie Batterien unbedingt von Quellen groer Hitze, Feuer und direktem Sonnenlicht fern.

Zum vorherigen Bildschirm zurckkehren;

Anschlsse und Inbetriebnahme

Netzverbindung
Schlieen Sie das mitgelieferte Netzteil an einer Steckdose an und verbinden Sie mit dem Netzteil-Anschluss an der
Rckseite des Gerts,
Netzwerk-Verbindung
Stellen Sie fest, ob Ihr Router einwandfrei funktioniert und in Betrieb ist und verbinden Sie das Radio mit einem RJ45Kabel mit einem freien LAN-Anschluss Ihres Routers.
Kabellose Netzwerk-Verbindung
Stellen Sie fest, ob Ihr W-LAN-Router einwandfrei funktioniert und in Betrieb ist. Es ist empfohlen, den InstallationsAssistenten (Setup Wizard) fr die Verbindungseinstellungen zu nutzen. Wnde und andere Hindernisse knnen das
W-LAN-Signal beeintrchtigen. Whlen Sie daher einen Aufstellungsort, an dem Sie auch mit anderen Gerten (Laptop/Smartphone o..) guten WiFi-Empfang haben.
Schalten Sie das Gert mit

ein.

Das Hauptmen wird auf dem Display angezeigt. Whlen Sie mit SCROLL/SELECT (4) zwischen Internet Radio, Music
Player, DAB, FM, AUX, Sleep, Alarms und System Settings.
Um im Vorfeld alle Einstellungen fr den weiteren Gebrauch des Gerts zu ttigen, whlen Sie bitte System Settings.

Systemeinstellungen (System Settings)

Whlen Sie im Hauptmen den Punkt System Settings, um Zugriff auf die Einstellungsoptionen Setup Wizard (Einstellungs-Assistent), Equalizer (Klangregelung), Network (Netzwerk), Language (Sprache), Factory Reset (Zurcksetzen in den Werkszustand) sowie Software Update und Info zu haben.
Setup wizard (Einstellungs-Assistent)
Whlen Sie den Setup Wizard, um eine automatische Einstellung der W-LAN-Verbindung sowie von Zeit und Datum
vornehmen zu lassen. Die Funktion ist nicht notwendig, wenn Sie eine kabelgebundene Netzwerkverbindung nutzen.

12/24h Display
Whlen Sie zwischen der prferierten Zeit-Anzeige (24-std./12h), indem Sie mit SCROLL/SELECT (4) auswhlen
und besttigen.

Time/Date (Zeit/Datum)
Zeit und Datum werden bei Empfang von FM-, DAB- oder Internet-Sendern automatisch aktualisiert (auto update),
knnen aber auch manuell eingestellt werden.

Auto Update:
Whlen Sie mit SCROLL/SELECT (4) die Option auto update from DAB, FM or Network.
Whlen Sie die korrekte Zeitzone, fr den Fall, dass die automatische Aktualisierung per Internet erfolgt
(Deutschland: GMT+1).
In Deutschland mssen Sie weiterhin die Daylight Saving-Option (Sommerzeit) einschalten.

Manuelle Einstellung:
Falls Sie no update (kein automatisches Update) whlen, werden Sie vom Einstellungs-Assistenten aufgefordert Uhrzeit und Datum manuell einzugeben. Das Datum wird im Format TT-MM-JJJJ angezeigt, Die
Uhrzeit im Format hh:mm.
Die jeweils zu bearbeitende Ziffer blinkt. Whlen Sie den jeweils gewnschten Wert mit SCROLL/SELECT
aus und besttigen Sie.

Network (Netzwerk-Einstellungen)
Das Gert ist kompatibel mit allen gngigen Netzwerk-Protokollen und der WPS-Verschlsselungsmethode. Bei
einer unverschlsselten Netzwerk-Verbindung klinkt sich das Gert automatisch in diese ein und es sind keine
weiteren Einstellungen ntig.

Verbindung mit einem herkmmlich verschlsselten Netzwerk:

Werden Sie aufgefordert, das Netzwerk-Passwort einzugeben, tun Sie dies bitte, ebenso wie bei bereits genannten Einstellungen, mithilfe des SCROLL/SELECT-Knopf (4).

Verbindung mit einem WPS-verschlsselten Netzwerk

WPS-verschlsselte kabellose Netzwerke werden ber ihren Namen identifiziert; eine entsprechende Liste der
empfangbaren Netzwerke wird auf dem Display angezeigt. Sie knnen auf verschiedene Arten mit dem Router
verbinden:
Push: Das Gert fordert Sie auf, die Verbindungs-Taste an Ihrem Router zu bettigen. Das Radio scannt und
verbindet dann automatisch mit diesem Netzwerk.
Pin: Das Radio generiert eine 8-stellige Pin. Geben Sie diese, falls mglich, ber das Browser-Interface
Ihres Routers als freigegebenes Gert ein. Konsultieren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Routers fr weitere Informationen zu diesem Thema.
WPS: Geben Sie den Netzwerkschlssel im Radio ein.

Equalizer (Klangregelung)
Whlen Sie zwischen den Voreinstellungen Normal, Flat, Jazz, Rock, Movie, Classic, Pop und News oder stellen Sie die
Klangregelung mit den Reglern fr Bass, Hhen und Loudness nach Ihren individuellen Wnschen ein.
Network (Netzwerk)

Einstellungen anzeigen:
Zeigen Sie die Verbindungseigenschaften der aktuellen Netzwerkverbindung an (Aktive Verbindung, MAC Adresse, WLAN Region, DHCP, SSID, IP Adresse, Subnet Mask, Gateway, DNS (1 und 2)).
WLAN Region:
Whlen Sie eine Region fr optimale Verbindung aus (Europa, USA, Kanada, Spanien, Frankreich, Japan, Singapur,
Australien, Korea).
Manuelle Einstellungen:
Stellen Sie eine kabelgebundene oder kabellose Verbindung her und aktivieren/deaktivieren Sie DHCP.
Netzwerk-Profil:
Das Gert speichert die letzten vier verbundenen Netzwerke. Hier knnen Sie diese einsehen und bei Bedarf lschen.

Language (Sprache)
Die voreingestellte Mensprache ist Englisch. Whlen Sie die gewnschte alternative Mensprache mit SCROLL/SELECT (4)
Factory Reset
Setzen Sie das Gert in den Werkszustand zurck. Bitte beachten Sie: Alle Zeit-, Datum- und Netzwerk-Einstellungen
werden hierbei gelscht, ebenso wie alle gespeicherten Sender.
Die aktuelle Firmware (die Software des Radios) ist hiervon nicht betroffen.
Software Update
Von Zeit zu Zeit sind Software-Updates verfgbar. Sie knnen manuell danach suchen, oder einstellen, dass das Gert
automatisch nach aktuellen Software-Updates ausschau hlt. Falls eine neue Software-Version gefunden wird, werden
Sie zur Besttigung des Downloads aufgefordert. Die Software wird automatisch installiert. Bestehende Einstellungen
und Presets bleiben erhalten.
Achtung: Unterbrechen Sie Software-Updates nicht, indem sie den Netzstecker ziehen oder den Router abschalten.
Dies kann zu Beeintrchtigungen des Gerts fhren, so dass es im schlimmsten Fall nicht mehr funktionsfhig ist.

Anzeige der aktuellen Firmware-Version sowie der Radio ID.

Internet Radio
Empfangen Sie mit dem IR-140 tausende Radiosender sowie Podcasts von der ganzen Welt mit einem Breitband-Internet-Zugang. Sobald mit MODE oder SCROLL/SELECT (im Hauptmen) das Internet Radio zum ersten Mal ausgewhlt
wird (und die Internet-Verbindung bereits eingerichtet ist), verbindet sich das Gert automatisch mit dem Frontier
Silicon Internet Radio Portal und ldt eine Senderliste herunter.
Senderliste

Stations (Sender)
Whlen Sie Sender anhand der verschiedenen Kategorien aus: Ort (Location), Genre, Popular (beliebt), New (neu).
Der Name sowie die Beschreibung des gewhlten Senders wird jeweils angezeigt. Drcken Sie fr darber hinaus
gehende Informationen mehrfach INFO an der Gertefront oder auf der Fernbedienung.

Podcasts
Whlen Sie Podcasts nach Ort (Location) oder Genre aus. Eine weitere Mglichkeit bietet Ihnen das Suchfeld: Geben Sie hier Schlagwrter ein, um bestimmte Podcasts zu finden.

My Favourites (Favoriten)
Ihre gespeicherten Favoriten sind werden online gespeichert (im Frontier Silicon Internet Radio Portal) und sind
daher von allen Internet-Radios abrufbar, mit denen Sie auf Ihren Account zugreifen.
Um einen Account auf dem Portal anzulegen
Besuchen Sie www.wifiradio-frontier.de.
Registrieren Sie sich mit Ihrer EMail-Adresse, einem Passwort sowie der Radio ID und dem Access Code.
Die Radio ID finden Sie hier: Hauptmen -> System Settings -> Info
Den Access Code erhalten Sie unter Internet Radio -> Senderliste -> Hilfe -> Access Code
Um einen gespielten Sender unter den Favoriten abzuspeichern, halten Sie SCROLL/SELECT gedrckt, bis zu Favoriten hinzugefgt auf dem Display angezeigt wird.

My Added Stations (Meine Sender)

Auch, wenn ber das online Portal tausende Sender gefunden und gelistet werden knnen, mag es sein, dass Sie
einen bestimmten nicht gelisteten Sender hren mchten. Suchen sie diese ber das Portal und fgen Sie sie Ihrer
Senderliste hinzu. Sie sind dann ber Internet Radio -> Senderliste -> Meine Sender zu finden.

Presets (Senderspeicher)
Presets werden im Gert lokal gespeichert und sind daher nicht von anderen Gerten einseh- oder abrufbar. Um einen
Sender auf einem Speicherplatz abzulegen, halten Sie MEMORY gedrckt, bis das Display den Speichern-Bildschirm
anzeigt. Whlen Sie mit SCROLL/SELECT (4) den gewnschten Speicherplatz und besttigen Sie mit SELECT (4). Gehen Sie beim Speichern von Presets fr FM- und DAB-Radio-Sender auf dieselbe Weise vor.

Music Player
Mit der Music Player Funktion knnen Sie Ihre Musik-Bibliothek vom Computer ber das lokale Netzwerk streamen. Es
knnen MP3-, AAC-, WMA- sowie FLAC-Dateien gestreamt werden. Um dies zu ermglichen, geben Sie die entsprechenden Ordner auf Ihrem Rechner im Netzwerk frei.
UPnP erlaubt Ihnen, die auf Ihrem Rechner gespeicherte Musik von einem externen Gert wie dem IR-140 nach Kategorien zu durchsuchen oder zu filtern. Voraussetzung dafr sind durchgngig getaggte (mit ID3-Tag versehene) Dateien
und ein geeignetes Server-System, also zum Beispiel ein PC mit Windows Media Player 10 (oder hher). Folgen Sie
diesen Schritten:

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der PC sowie das Radio im selben Netzwerk angeschlossen und registriert sind.
ffnen Sie den Windows Media Player und fgen Sie die Dateien und Ordner zu der gewnschten Bibliothek hinzu.
Aktivieren Sie Medienstreaming (Medienbibliothek -> Streamen -> Medienstreaming aktivieren).
Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Radio Zugriffsrechte hat, indem Sie es anwhlen und Erlauben klicken.

Das IR-140 kann nun Medieninhalte von Ihrem Rechner streamen. Der UPnP-Service luft als Hintergrundprozess,
so dass der WMP gar nicht gestartet werden muss, um die Medienwiedergabe zu ermglichen.

Um den Music Player aufzurufen, whlen Sie ihn mit

MODE oder SCROLL/SELECT (4) im Hauptmen aus.
Whlen Sie im Music Player Untermen Shared Media und dann einen Computer mit geteilten Inhalten
aus der Liste verbundener UPnP-Gerte (falls Sie Medienstreaming auf mehreren Computern aktiviert haben).
Die Steuerung der Wiedergabe erfolgt ber die konvetionellen Tasten
,
und
, die Navigation ber
die Pfeiltasten (auf der Fernbedienung) oder ber SCROLL/SELECT (4) und BACK (10) an der Gertefront.

USB Playback
Im Submen des Music Players finden Sie des weiteren die Option USB Playback. Whlen Sie diese, um Medieninhalte von einem am Gert angeschlossenen USB-Speichermedium (USB-Stick, Portable Festplatte, MP3-Player o..)
abzuspielen. Die Steuerung und Navigation funktioniert wie gewohnt mit den konvetionellen Tasten
,
und
, die Navigation ber die Pfeiltasten (auf der Fernbedienung) oder ber SCROLL/SELECT (4) und BACK (10) an der Gertefront.
Prune Servers
Von Zeit zu Zeit kann es notwendig werden, nicht mehr erreichbare oder nicht empfangbare Server von der Serverliste
zu streichen. Dies erreichen Sie mit der Funktion Prune Servers. Whlen Sie YES zur besttigung.
Repeat / Shuffle
Spielen Sie bestimmte Tracks in Endlosschleife (Repeat) oder spielen Sie Ordner oder Wiedergabelisten im Zufallsmodus (Shuffle) ab, indem Sie die jeweilig gewnschte Option mit ON aktivieren.

DAB-Radio
Whlen Sie durch mehrfachen Druck auf MODE oder mit dem SCROLL/SELECT-Rad (4) den DAB-Modus aus, um digital
sendende Radiostationen zu empfangen.
Sendersuchlauf

Wenn Sie den DAB-Modus zum ersten Mal aufrufen, ist die Senderliste noch leer. Das Gert startet automatisch
einen Sendersuchlauf und zeigt anschlieend die Liste gefundener Sender an. Sollte diese Liste Ihrer Meinung
nach nicht vollstndig sein, berprfen Sie bitte, ob der Empfang zu verbessern ist oder ob einige gewnschte
DAB-Sender evtl. lediglich eine begrenzte tgliche Sendezeit haben.
Fhren Sie fr diese Flle einen erneuten Sendersuchlauf aus, indem Sie im DAB-Men Manual Tune whlen.

Senderwahl und -speicher

Um den Sender Ihrer Wahl zu spielen, whlen Sie diesen mit SCROLL/SELECT (4) aus. Infos zum Sender und weiterfhrende Infos zum Programm knnen Sie auf dem Display anzeigen lassen, indem Sie mehrfach INFO auf der
Gertefront oder der Fernbedienung drcken.
Verfahren Sie zum Speichern und Abrufen von Sendern analog zur im Abschnitt Internet Radio vorgestellten
Vorgehensweise.

Weitere Einstellungen

Prune Invalid
Von Zeit zu Zeit kann es notwendig werden, nicht mehr erreichbare oder nicht empfangbare Sender von der Senderliste zu streichen. Dies erreichen Sie mit der Funktion Prune Invalid. Whlen Sie YES zur besttigung.

Manuelle Sendersuche
Whlen Sie MENU -> Manuelle Sendersuche. Drehen Sie SCROLL/SELECT (4), um durch das DAB-Frequenzband
zu blttern.

DRC (Dynamic Range Compression)

Die automatische Klangkompression kann in geruschvollen Umgebungen ntzlich sein. Schalten Sie sie ein, damit leise Klnge angehoben und besonders laute Spitzen abgesenkt werden.

Station Order (Sender-Reihenfolge)

Sie knnen mit dieser Option aussuchen in welcher Reihenfolge DAB-Sender angezeigt werden sollen (z.B.: alphanumerisch).

FM-Radio
Whlen Sie den FM-Modus mit mehrfachem Druck auf MODE oder mit SCROLL/SELECT. Halten Sie
oder
gedrckt, um zum nchsten empfangbaren Sender in der entsprechenden Richtung (das Frequenzband hinauf/herab) zu
springen.

Weitere Einstellungen

Scan Optionen: Whlen Sie hier die Empfindlichkeit beim automatischen Sendersuchlauf aus. Bei hoher Empfindlichkeit werden auch Sender mit schwachem Signal (Rauschen) gefunden.
Audio Einstellungen: Whlen Sie zwischen Mono und Stereo (bei schwachem Empfang kann die Mono-Option
u.U. ein geringeres Rauschen und somit ein angenehmeres Hren ermglichen).

AUX
Verbinden Sie einen externen Musik- oder Medienplayer (CD-/MP3-Player, Smartphone, Laptop, Computer oder hnliches) per 3,5mm-Audiokabel mit dem Aux-Eingang des IR-140.
Nutzen Sie den externen Player wie gewohnt. Achten Sie darauf, dass an diesem die Lautstrke hoch genug eingestellt
ist.
Whlen Sie den AUX-Modus mit mehrfachem Druck auf MODE oder mit SCROLL/SELECT.

Wecker (Alarm) und Sleep-Timer

Der IR-140 stellt zwei voneinander unabhngige Alarme mit Snooze-Funktion zur Verfgung. Um den Wecker zu stellen
/ einzustellen

Whlen Sie ALARM 1 oder ALARM 2 ber das Hauptmen aus oder drcken Sie ALARM auf der Fernbedienung.
Stellen Sie die folgenden Parameter ein:
Enable / Aktiv: Aus, Tglich, Einmal, an Wochenenden, an Wochentagen
Zeit: HH:MM
Weck-Modus: Buzzer (Piepton), Internet Radio, DAB, FM
Preset: Zuletzt gehrt oder Preset 1-10
Lautstrke: 0 - 32
Um die neue Einstellung zu speichern und zu aktivieren, blttern Sie mit SCROLL/SELECT ans Ende des Mens und
whlen Sie SAVE. Die aktiven Alarme werden als Icons in der linken unteren Display-Ecke angezeigt.

Sleep-Timer
Drcken Sie den SLEEP-Taster mehrfach, um den Sleep-Timer einzustellen. Die einstellbaren Schritte sind 15min 30min - 45min - 60min - 75min - 90min.
Nach der entsprechenden Zeit schaltet sich das Gert automatisch ab und in den Standby-Modus. Eingestellte Wecker
bleiben aktiv.

Kopfhrer
Auf der Rckseite des Gerts finden Sie den Anschluss fr einen Kopfhrer. Sie knnen einen solchen mit einem handelsblichen 3,5mm-Klinke-Audiokabel am Gert anschlieen. Die integrierten Lautsprecher werden in dem Moment
abgeschaltet.
Achtung: Achten Sie auf eine Nutzung mit ungefhrlicher Lautstrke. Beachten Sie, dass man sich mit der Zeit an hohe
Lautstrke gewhnen kann und diese dann als normal wahrnimmt, dies aber schdigend fr Ihr Gehr sein kann. Das
zu lange und zu laute Hren mit Kopfhrern kann zu dauerhaftem und irreparablem Gehrverlust fhren.

Remote Sensor
To operate the unit with the remote control, point the remote at the Remote Sensor on the front of the main unit and
press the appropriate button. The remote control has an effective operating range of approximately 20 feet and an
angle of no more than 30.
NOTE: Bright sunlight may interfere with the operation of the remote control.
Exchanging The Battery

Press the battery compartment gently according to the direction indicated in the
illustration.
Slide to open the battery compartment.
Insert the supplied CR2032 battery into
the compartment according to the polarity markings (+ and -) inside the compartment and on the battery. Replace the
battery compartment until it clicks.

Battery Precautions

Warning -Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
Use only the size and type of battery specied.
Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the battery as indicated in the Battery Compartment. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the battery to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
Do not try to recharge a battery not intended to be recharged; it can overheat and rupture. (Follow battery

Mains Connection

Connect the AC power cord to the unit via the AC socket at the back.
Plug the AC power cord to the AC mains outlet.

Wired Network Connection

Check first of all whether the control lamps (LINK/ACT) of your LAN connection or your router light up.
Use an Ethernet cable with RJ45 connector to connect the NETWORK socket of the radio with the LAN port of your
router.
Proceed for the operation as described in the below GETTING STARTED. But no need to run through the setup
wizard Note:Information on the LAN connection can be obtained from the user manual of the router manufacturer.

Wireless Network Connection

Check first of all whether the control lamps (LINK/ACT) of your WLAN connection or your router light up.
Proceed for the operation as described in the below GETTING STARTED. It is highly recommended to run through
the setup wizard in the system settings section.
Note:Information on the WLAN/WiFi network connection can be obtained from the user manual of the router manufacturer. Walls or other obstacles may influence the WiFi range. Try to find the best location to avoid interruption
and interference while operating.

Press the POWER button once to switch on the radio, the display will show the main menu. To go to a function or open
a sub-menu, rotate the SELECT control followed by pressing on it to confirm. Each function is selected via a menu
consisting of several levels.

Getting Started
Main menu
The following modes can be selected in the main menu: Internet radio, Music player, DAB radio, FM radio, AUX in,
Sleep, Alarms, System settings. To select your desired function, rotate the SELECT control followed by pressing on it
to confirm.

System settings
Set up wizard
The setup wizard is available in the system settings section, you can run through this to configure settings for date/
time and network, once this has finished, your radio is ready to use. Note: No need to run through the setup wizard if
a wired network is used.

12/24 hour display

To select your preference between 12 or 24 hour clock display format - rotate the SELECT control followed by
pressing on it to confirm.

Time/Date
The time and date can be manually set or automatically via the network, DAB or FM.
Auto update
The auto update works with data sent over DAB, FM or the Internet. The clock is only updated when in a corresponding mode, so it is recommended to select a mode that you use regularly.
Select auto update from DAB, FM or Network.
Select the appropriate time zone if the auto update is done by the Internet.
If your country uses daylight saving, the automatically update time may be wrong by one hour. Set th daylight
savings to ON when daylight savings are in effect.
Manual set
If No update is selected, the wizard will prompt you to set the time and date manually. The date and time are
displayed in dd-mm-yyyy and hh:mm AM/PM format.
The value to be set will flash, rotate the SELECT control to adjus the value followed by pressing on it to go for
the next setting, firs set the date then finally the time.

Network
The unit is compatible to all standard network protocols and encryption methods, including Wi-Fi Protected Setup
(WPS). In case of an unencrypted network, the unit will automatically establish connection and no further settings
are necessary.
Standard encrypted network
To enter the network key (password), rotate the SELECT control to move the cursor through the characters to
be selected and press on it to confirm.
The key that is entered will be displayed in the upper part of the display.
WPS-encrypted network
WPS-encrypted networks are identified by their network names as soon as the unit starts searching for available
network connection. Select one of the following connection methods:
Push button: The radio prompts you to press the connection button on the router, it then scans for a corresponding network and establishes the connection.
Pin (code number): The radio generates an 8-digit code number. Enter this code number into the wireless
router or access device.
WPS: Enter the network key for a standard encrypted network.

Note: Additional information on setting up the WPS-encrypted networks can be obtained in the user manual of
your WPS router.
Completion
The radio establishes connection with the selected network. If connection is failed, the radio returns to the previous display and prompts you to retry. If an existing network connection is lost, it would automatically attempt to
retry for reconnection.

Equaliser
Several preset EQ modes are available: Normal, Flat, Jazz, Rock, Movie, Classic, Pop, News.
In addition, user-defined settings are possible you can set up the equalizer with bass, treble and loudness according to your personal taste.

Network
View settings: You can check the following information on the currently connected network: Active connection, MAC address, WLAN region, DHCP.SSID, IP address, subnet mask, gateway address, first and second
DNS.
WLAN region: Select a WLAN region for optimal WLAN connectivity: Most of Europe, USA, Canada, Spain,
France, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Republic of Korea.
Manual settings: Select either a wireless or wired connection and activate/deactivate DHCP.
Network profile: The radio stores the last four wireless networks that were connected and attempts each time
to reconnect to one of them. You can view a list of the registered networks. From here you can delete unwanted networks by turning the SELECT control followed by pressing on it to confirm delete.

Language
The default language is English. To select other languages, rotate the SELECT control followed by pressing on it
to confirm.

Factory reset
Perform a factory reset returns the unit to factory settings. All manual settings such as time, date, network configuration and presets are deleted.
The radios current software version is not affected and remains as it was registered in the Internet-Radio- Portal.
Favourites in the Internet radio remain until newly registered with another account in the Internet portal.

Software update
Software updates are made available from time to time. You can either check manually or let the radio to check automatically. If a new software version is found, the radio prompts you to confirm. The new software will be downloaded and installed upon getting your confirmation. User settings are maintained. Note: Before downloading
software, ensure that the radio is plugged into a stable mains power connection. Interrupting the mains supply
during a software download can lead to functional disturbances and/or damage to the unit!

Info
Displays the firmware version and the Radio ID

Internet Radio
This radio can play thousands of radio stations and podcasts from all over the world via a broadband internet connection. When the Internet Radio mode is selected, the radio connects with the Frontier Silicon Internet radio portal to
download a list of stations. Once a station is selected, the radio will connect directly to that station.
To enter Internet Radio mode, either press MODE until the display shows Internet radio or select Internet radio in
the main menu by the use of the SELECT control.
Note: The station list menu is provided from the Internet radio portal, so it is only accessible when the radio is connected to the Internet. Station lists and submenus may change from time to time.

Last listened
When Internet radio is restarted, a list of the last-listened stations is automatically selected. For a list of stations that
are occasionally selected, active the Station list function. These stations then appear at the beginning of the list.
Station list

Stations
Select the stations from various categories in the menu: Location, Genre, Popular, New. You can also search stations using various keywords. The name and a description of the current station is displayed when it is tuned. To
view further information, press the INFO button upon each press, another set of information is displayed cycling
through name/description, genre/location, reliability, codec/sampling rate, playback buffer and current date.

Podcasts
Select podcasts from the categories in the menu: Location, Genre. You can also select a particular episode by entering keywords to search podcasts.

My favourites
Favourites are stored in the Internet radio portal and are available to all Internet radios that are registered with the
same account. You must register the radio in the Internet radio portal before making use of the favourites.
To register you radio with the portal, first get your radios unique portal access code.
To get the access code, go to the Station list>Help>Get access code menu. Then write down the access code.
Visit the portal website at www.wifiradio-frontier.com.
Register yourself to obtain an account by entering the following information: Access code, Email address, Password, Wi-Fi radio model or Radio ID (optional).
Note: The Radio ID is a combination of numbers and letters and is permanently assigned to this radio, it is displayed in the menu of the Internet radio function under >System settings> Info>.
To store a playing station as a favourite, press and hold the SELECT control until the display shows Favourite added. The station will then appear in the list of favourites.

My added stations
Even though the Internet radio portal contains thousands of stations, you may want to listen to stations not listed.
You can add your own stations via the portal. These added stations are accessible by selecting Station list>My
added stations>[Station]

Presets
Presets are stored in the radio and cannot be accessed from other radios. To store an Internet radio preset, press and
hold the MEMORY button until the display shows the Save to Preset screen. Select one of the 10 presets to store the
current station.
To select a preset, press the MEMORY button once, then select one of the listed preset stations. When a preset station
is playing, Pn (P1, P2 etc) will appear in the lower part of the display. Note: Operation of presets is identical for
Internet radio, DAB and FM.

Music Player
The Music Player mode plays audio files such as MP3s, AACs, WMAs or FLACs from a computer on the local network. In
order for the radio to play music files from a computer, the computer must be set up to share files or media.
UPnP media sharing allows devices like you radio to play music from a shared media library, navigating through tag
menus such as Artist, Album or Genre. If you are running a suitable server system such as a PC with Windows Media
Player 10 or later (WMP), and you music library is well-tagged, then it is recommended to use media sharing. Only the
UPnP server needs to be set up. To set up WMP for media sharing, perform the following steps:

Ensure that the PC is connected to the network.

Ensure that the radio is powered on and connected to the same network.
In WMP, add to the media library the audio files and folders you want to share with your radio. (Library>add to
Library).
In WMP, enable media sharing (Library>Media sharing).
Make sure that the radio has access to the shared media by selecting it and clicking ALLOW. You can also set a
name for the shared media in Settings. Click OK to close the dialogue boxes.
The PC is now ready to stream the music to the radio, The WMP UPnP service runs in the background; there is no
need to start WMP explicitly.

To enter Music Player mode, either press MODE until the display shows Music player or select Music player in the
main menu by the use of the SELECT control.
Press the BACK button to quickly move back to the previous menu during playback of a title. Press the arrow buttons
to select the previous or next track. Press and hold the rev/ffw buttons to rewind or fast forward. Press PLAY/PAUSE
to interrupt playback or resume playback.
The name of the track/title and the artist is displayed during playback. A progress bar indicating the elapsed and total
playing time is also displayed. An icon in the lower part of the display indicates the selected resource. To view further
information, press the INFO button - upon each press, another set of information is displayed cycling through track or
title//artist/progress/track or title duration, album, codec/sampling rate, playback buffer and current date.
Shared media
If you have set up shared media, you should see an entry consisting of <computer name>: <Shared media name>. If
you have more than one computer sharing media, the alternatives are listed. Select the shared media you want to play.
From this point on, the shared files menus are generated by the server. The first menu shows a list of media types, e.g.
music, videos, images and playlists. The radio can playback titles from music and playlist sections.
There is a also search function for finding tracks or titles which is similar to the Internet radio search. For music, a large
number of options is available for selecting tracks or titles which including genre, artist, album, composer and rating.
Once you have located a track you want to play, press on the SELECT control.
USB Playback

Insert the USB into the port at the rear. USB disk attached-open folder? (Yes or No) - Select Yes.
Select your music, then press select button to playback.
Select Music player mode.
Select USB playback
Select your music, then press select button to playback.

Prune servers
From time to time it may be necessary to remove servers displaying question marks in front of the server name from
the server list. To perform this function, go to the Prune servers section and select YES.
Repeat/Shuffle
You can repeat tracks or play them in random order by selecting Repeat play or Shuffle play to On.

DAB Radio
DAB radio mode receives DAB/DAB+ digital radio and displays information about the station, stream and track
playing.
To enter DAB mode, either press MODE until the display shows DAB radio or select DAB radio in the main menu
by the use of the SELECT control.
Scanning for stations
The first time you select DAB radio mode, or the station list is empty, the radio will automatically performs a full scan
to see what stations are available. You may also need to run a scan manually to update the list of stations for the following reasons:
Available stations might change from time to time.
If the reception is not good for the original scan, this may result in an empty or incomplete list of available stations.
Once the scan is completed, the radio shows a list of available stations.
Selecting stations
To listen or change a station, rotate the SELECT control followed by pressing on it to confirm. The information of the
station selected will be displayed.
To view further information, press the INFO button - upon each press, another set of information is displayed cycling
through DLS text, programme type, ensemble name/frequency, signal strength/error rate, bit rate/codec/channels
and current date.
Presets
To store a DAB preset, press and hold the MEMORY button until the display shows the Save to Preset screen. Select
one of the 10 presets to store the current station.
To select a preset, press the MEMORY button once, then select one of the listed preset stations. When a preset station
is playing, Pn (P1, P2 etc) will appear in the lower part of the display.
Other Settings

Prune invalid
To remove stations that are listed but unavailable, press the MENU button and select Prune invalid>[YES]
by the use of the SELECT control.
Manual tune
To select manual tune, press the MENU button and select Manual tune.
Rotate the SELECT control to move through the DAB channels, the display will show 5A to 13F and their associated frequencies.
When your desired frequency appears in the display, press on the SELECT control to confirm.
DRC (Dynamic range compression)
If you are listening to music with high dynamic range in a noisy environment, you may wish to compress the audio
dynamic range. To change DRC, press the MENU button then enter into the DRC section, and select DRC high,
low, or off by the use of the SELECT control.
Station order
You can choose the order of the DAB station list to be either alphanumeric, ensemble or valid. To change station
order, press the MENU button then enter into the Station order section, and select Alphanumeric, Ensemble or
Valid by the use of the SELECT control.

FM Radio
FM radio mode receives analogue radio from the FM band and displays RDS information about the station if
available.
To enter FM mode, either press MODE until the display shows FM radio or select FM radio in the main menu by the
use of the SELECT control.

Selecting stations
To search for a station, press on the SELECT control once, the radio will start to scan up the frequency band, and it will
stop automatically once a station has been found. Alternatively, you can also press and hold NEXT/PREVIOUS buttons
to scan up or down the frequency band. To tune manually, rotate the select control for your desired frequency.
Presets
To store a FM preset, press and hold the MEMORY button until the display shows the Save to Preset screen. Select
one of the 10 presets to store the current station.
To select a preset, press the MEMORY button once, then select one of the listed preset stations. When a preset station
is playing, Pn (P1, P2 etc) will appear in the lower part of the display.
Display information
While the radio is playing, the frequency will be displayed, and if RDS information is available, station name and any
further RDS information such as programme name, track title and contact details can be displayed. Stereo broadcasts
are indicated with an icon at the top of the screen. To view further information about the broadcast, press the INFO
button.
Other Settings

Scan settings
FM scan is defaulted to stop at any available station, this would result the poor reception from weak stations. To
change the scan settings to stop only at stations with good signal strength, press the MENU button then enter into
the Scan setting section and select YES by the use of the SELECT control.
Audio settings
The radio will automatically switch between FM stereo and mono reception, but you can override this and
switch this function manually which is helpful for poor signal reception.
To select listening in mono, press the MENU button then enter into the Audio setting section and select YES
by the use of the SELECT control.
Note: During FM stereo reception, the received L/R stereo sound will be automatically combined to one single
channel to suit the single speaker design of this radio.

AUX in
AUX in mode plays audio from an external audio source such as MP3 player. To play audio with Aux in mode:

Decrease the volume level on both the radio and the audio source device.
Connect the external audio source to the AUX IN (3.5mm) stereo socket.
Either press MODE until the display shows AUX in or select AUX in in the main menu by the use of the SELECT
control.
Set the desired volume on the radio and the external audio device if necessary.

Note: To further enhance energy saving, unit will go into standby mode after about 15 minutes from Aux in mode if
without signal input .

Alarms & Sleep Timer

Alarms
There are two wake-up alarms with snooze function and one sleep function to turn the radio off after a set period. Each
alarm can be set to start in a particular mode. To set or change an alarm:

Select either Alarm 1 or 2 in the main menu or press the ALARM button on the remote control.
Select the Alarm number (1 or 2) and set the following parameters:

To activate the new settings, scroll down the menu using the SELECT control and select Save. Th display will
show the active alarms with an icon at the bottom left.
The alarm will be triggered at the preset time. To temporarily silence it, press the SNOOZE button. The Radio will
switch to standby for the set period, and the silenced alarm icon flashes in the display.
During alarm, you can change the snooze period by repeatedly pressing on the SNOOZE button.

Sleep
To activate the sleep function, either select it in the main menu by the use of the SELECT control or repeatedly pressing
on the SLEEP button. The display will show the sleep time and you can choose from: Sleep Off, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90
minutes. Once the sleep time has been set, it will return to the main menu.

Headphones
A 3.5mm type stereo headphone jack is located at the back of the unit. Connect a set of stereo headphones (not included) to this jack for private listening without disturbing others. The speakers are automatically disconnected when the
headphones are in use.
IMPORTANT: When using headphones always set the volume to a low level before you put the headphones on. Then
insert the headphones and gradually increase the volume to a comfortable listening level.

Environment Concerns
According to the European waste regulation 2002/96/EG this symbol on the product or on its
packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead it should be

Remarques concernant la tlcommande :

Pour contrler lappareil laide de la tlcommande, sassurer de la diriger vers le rcepteur infrarouge lavant de
lappareil un angle maximal de 30. La porte est denviron 5 mtres. La prsence dobstacles peut gner son fonctionnement.
La tlcommande est livre avec une pile
adquate de type CR2032. Avant la premire
utilisation, retirer le film protecteur du compartiment pile. Pour remplacer la pile, suivre
les indications du schma ci-contre.
Attention :

Remplacer la pile uniquement par une

pile du mme type.
Sassurer que la polarit est respecte
comme montr dans le schma.
Si la tlcommande ne va pas tre utilise pendant une priode prolonge, retirer la pile et la conserver dans un endroit
adapt (sans contact avec des lments
mtalliques et idalement dans un petit

Connexions et mise en marche

Branchement lectrique
Brancher le cble dalimentation fourni dans une prise et le connecter larrire de lappareil.
Connexion au rseau
Vrifier que le routeur est allum et fonctionne correctement. Connecter la radio une prise LAN du routeur laide
dun cble RJ45.
Connexion au rseau sans fil
Vrifier que le routeur Wifi est allum et fonctionne correctement. Il est recommand dutiliser lassistant dinstallation
( Setup Wizard ) pour ajuster les paramtres de connexion. Les murs et autres obstacles peuvent gner la transmission du signal du Wifi. Installer lappareil un endroit ou les autres appareils (ordinateurs, Smartphones etc.) reoivent
un bon signal Wifi.
Allumer lappareil en appuyant sur
Le menu principal saffiche sur lcran digital. A laide du bouton SCROLL/SELECT (4), slectionner Internet Radio,
Music Player, DAB, FM, AUX, Sleep, Alarms ou System Settings.
Pour ajuster tous les paramtres de lappareil avant son utilisation, slectionner System Settings.

Rglages systme (System Settings)

Dans le menu principal, slectionner System Settings pour accder aux options de rglage Setup Wizard (assistant dinstallation), Equalizer (galiseur), Network (rseau), Language (langues), Factory Reset (retour aux rglages
dusine), Software Update (mises jour du logiciel) et Info.
Setup Wizard (assistant dinstallation)
Slectionner le Setup Wizard pour lancer un rglage automatique de la connexion Wifi ainsi que de la date et de
lheure. Cette fonction nest pas ncessaire si la radio est connecte internet par cble.

12/24h Display (affichage 12h/24h)

Slectionner le mode daffichage de lheure prfr (12h/24h). Modifier en tournant le bouton SCROLL/SELECT (4)
et confirmer en appuyant une fois dessus.

Time/Date (heure/date)
Lheure et la date sactualisent automatiquement lorsque la rception de stations de radio FM, DAB ou Internet
(auto-update) est tablie. Elles peuvent aussi tre ajustes manuellement.

Auto-update (mise jour automatique) :

Slectionner loption auto update from DAB, FM or Network laide du bouton SCROLL/SELECT (4).
Slectionner le fuseau horaire correct si la mise jour automatique a fonctionn (France : GMT+1)
Slectionner loption Daylight Saving si le rglage est effectu en priode dheure dt.

Rglage manuel :
Dans le cas o no update (pas de mise jour automatique) est slectionn, lassistant dinstallation
vous proposera de rgler lheure et la date manuellement. La date est affiche au format JJ-MM-AAAA et
lheure au format hh:mm.
Chaque chiffre ajuster clignote. Modifier en tournant le bouton SCROLL/SELECT (4) et confirmer dune
pression.

Network (rglages rseau)

Lappareil est compatible avec tous les protocoles rseau courants et la mthode de cryptage WPS. Dans le cas
dun rseau Wifi non crypt, lappareil se connecte automatiquement celui-ci et aucun rglage supplmentaire
nest ncessaire.

Connexion un rseau crypt traditionnel :

Entrer la cl de scurit rseau lorsque lappareil le demande laide du bouton SCROLL/SELECT (4).

Connexion un rseau crypt par WPS

Les rseaux sans fil crypts par WPS sont identifis par leur nom ; une liste des rseaux dtects saffiche sur
lcran digital. Il est possible de connecter la radio avec le routeur de plusieurs manires :

Push : lappareil vous enjoint dappuyer sur le bouton de connexion du routeur. La radio lance une recherche et se connecte alors automatiquement ce rseau.
Pin : la radio gnre un code pin 8 chiffres. Si cela est possible, entrer ce code dans linterface utilisateur
de votre routeur en tant quappareil libr. Consulter le mode demploi du routeur pour plus dinformations.
WPS : entrer la cl de scurit du rseau dans la radio.

Equalizer (galiseur)
Slectionner lun des galiseurs prrgls : Normal, Flat (plat), Jazz, Classic, Pop, News (informations). Il est galement
possible de rgler lgaliseur laide des curseurs de bass (basses), treble (aigus) et loudness (niveau de bruit) selon
vos souhaits.
Network (rseau)

Afficher les paramtres :

Afficher les proprits de la connexion rseau actuelle (connexion active, adresse MAC, rgion Wifi, DHCP, SSID,
adresse IP, masque de sous-rseau, passerelle, DNS 1 et 2).
Rgion Wifi :
Slectionner une rgion pour une connexion optimale (Europe, USA, Canada, Espagne, France, Japon, Singapour,
Australie, Core).
Rglages manuels :
Ajouter une connexion rseau par cble ou sans fil et activer/dsactiver le DHCP.
Profil rseau :
Lappareil mmorise les quatre dernires connexions rseau. Il est possible dafficher et supprimer si besoin ces
connexions.

Language (langues)
La langue de menu par dfaut est langlais. Slectionner une langue de menu alternative laide du bouton SCROLL/
SELECT (4).
Factory Reset (retour aux rglages dusine)
Cette option permet de rtablir les rglages dusine de lappareil. Attention : les rglages dheure, date et rseau seront effacs ainsi que les stations mmorises.
Le firmware (logiciel de la radio) nest pas affect par ce processus.
Software Update (mise jour du logiciel)
Des mises jour du logiciel sont disponibles rgulirement. Il est possible de les rechercher manuellement ou de
paramtrer lappareil de manire ce quil les cherche automatiquement. Lorsquune mise jour du logiciel est disponible, lappareil demande une confirmation avant de le tlcharger. Le logiciel ne sinstalle pas automatiquement. Les
rglages et mmorisations sont conservs lors de la mise jour du logiciel.
Attention : ne pas dbrancher lappareil ou teindre le routeur pendant la mise jour. Cela peut conduire des dommages ou une panne de lappareil.
Info
Affiche la version actuelle du firmware ainsi que le numro didentification de la radio.

Radio Internet
Le IR-140 permet la rception de milliers de stations de radio et de podcasts du monde entier via une connexion internet haut dbit. Lors de la premire slection du mode Radio Internet via les boutons MODE ou SCROLL/SELECT
(depuis le menu principal), lappareil se connecte automatiquement au portail Frontier Silicon Internet Radio Portal
et tlcharge une liste de stations. Lappareil doit avoir t connect internet au pralable.
Liste de stations

Stations
Parcourir les stations en fonction des diffrentes catgories : Location (lieu), Popular (populaire), New (rcent). Le
nom ainsi que la description de la station slectionne sont affichs. Pour obtenir des informations supplmentaires, appuyer plusieurs fois sur la touche INFO de lappareil ou de la tlcommande.

Podcasts
Parcourir les podcasts en fonction de leur lieu (Location) ou de leur genre. Il est galement possible de trouver des
podcasts en effectuant une recherche par mots-cls.

My Favourites (favoris)
Les stations favorites sont automatiquement enregistres en ligne (dans le portail Frontier Silicon Internet Radio
Portal ) et sont donc accessibles depuis toutes les radios internet enregistres sous votre compte.
Pour crer un compte sur le portail :
Visiter ladresse www.wifiradio-frontier.de.
Senregistrer laide de votre adresse e-mail, dun mot de passe, du numro didentification de la radio ainsi
que du code daccs.
Le numro didentification de la radio est consultable dans Menu principal->System Settings->Info.
Le code daccs est consultable dans Radio Internet->Liste des stations->Aide->Code daccs.
Pour enregistrer une station en coute dans les favoris, maintenir le bouton SCROLL/SELECT enfonc jusqu ce
que le message Ajout aux favoris saffiche sur lcran.

My Added Stations (mes stations ajoutes)

Bien que des milliers de stations soient rpertories sur le portail, il est possible que vous souhaitiez couter une
station de radio en particulier qui ne figure pas dans la liste. Chercher sur le portail et ajouter votre liste de stations les radios de votre choix. Elles sont alors disponibles dans Radio Internet->Liste des stations->Mes stations.

Presets (mmorisation des stations)

Les presets sont enregistrs localement dans lappareil et ne sont donc pas consultables depuis dautres appareils.
Pour mmoriser une station, maintenir la touche MEMORY enfonce jusqu ce que lcran de mmorisation saffiche.
Slectionner lemplacement de mmorisation en tournant le bouton SCROLL/SELECT (4) et appuyer dessus pour confirmer. Pour la mmorisation de stations FM et DAB, suivre les mmes tapes.

Lecteur de musique
La fonction lecteur de musique permet de lire la bibliothque musicale dun ordinateur en streaming (diffusion en
continu) via le rseau local. Les formats MP3, AAC, WMA et FLAC sont supports. Pour permettre la lecture, partager
le dossier de lordinateur contenant la musique sur le rseau.
Le systme UPnP vous permet de visualiser et de filtrer par catgories les fichiers musicaux enregistrs sur votre ordinateur travers un appareil externe tel que le IR-140. Pour cela, il est ncessaire que les fichiers soient tous tagus (
laide de tags ID3 assortis) et que le systme du serveur soit compatible, par exemple, avec un PC quip du lecteur
Windows Media version 10 ou plus rcente. Suivre les tapes suivantes :

Sassurer que le PC et la radio sont connects et enregistrs sur le mme rseau.

Ouvrir le lecteur Windows Media et ajouter les fichiers et dossiers la bibliothque souhaite.
Activer la diffusion en continu des mdias (Bibliothque ->Diffuser en continu->Activer la diffusion en continu des mdias personnels).
Donner lautorisation daccs la radio en la slectionnant puis en cliquant sur Autoriser .

Le IR-140 peut dsormais lire des mdias depuis votre ordinateur. Le service UPnP fonctionne en arrire-plan : il
nest pas ncessaire douvrir le lecteur Windows Media pour permettre la lecture de mdias.

Le contrle et la navigation seffectuent comme prcdemment laide des touches conventionnelles , et , et la navigation laide des touches flches de la tlcommande ou du bouton SCROLL/SELECT (4) et BACK (10) de lappareil.
Prune Servers (tri des serveurs)
Il est de temps autre ncessaire de supprimer de la liste des serveurs qui ne sont plus accessibles ou plus reus. La
fonction Prune Servers vous permet de faire un tri automatique des serveurs dans la liste. Slectionner YES pour confirmer.
Repeat / Shuffle (lecture en boucle, mode alatoire)
Cette option permet la lecture en boucle de certains morceaux ou de lancer une lecture alatoire des morceaux de la
liste de lecture. Slectionner ON pour activer chaque option.

Radio DAB
Appuyer plusieurs fois sur la touche MODE ou utiliser le bouton SCROLL/SELECT (4) pour slectionner le mode DAB
et recevoir des stations de radio numriques.
Recherche des stations

Lorsque le mode DAB est lanc pour la premire fois, la liste des stations est encore vide. Lappareil lance automatiquement une recherche de stations et affiche la liste des stations trouves. Si vous pensez que la liste des
rsultats nest pas complte, sassurer que la rception est optimale ou vrifier sil est possible que la station DAB
manquante mette uniquement certains moments de la journe.
Dans ces cas, lancer une nouvelle recherche des stations en slectionnant loption Manual Tune dans le menu
DAB.

Slection et mmorisation des stations

Slectionner la station dsire laide du bouton SCROLL/SELECT (4). Pour afficher les informations concernant la
station ou lmission, appuyer plusieurs fois sur la touche INFO de lappareil ou de la tlcommande.
Pour connatre les tapes permettant de mmoriser des stations et daccder votre liste de stations favorites, se
reporter la section Radio Internet de ce mode demploi.

Rglages supplmentaires

Prune Invalid (tri des serveurs)

Il est de temps autre ncessaire de supprimer de la liste des serveurs qui ne sont plus accessibles ou plus reus. La fonction Prune Servers vous permet de faire un tri automatique des serveurs dans la liste. Slectionner YES pour confirmer.

Recherche manuelle des stations

Slectionner Menu->Recherche manuelle. Tourner le bouton SCROLL/SELECT (4) pour parcourir la bande de frquence DAB.

DRC (Dynamic Range Compression)

La compression sonore automatique peut tre utile dans des environnements bruyants. Activer cette option pour
augmenter le volume des sons faibles et attnuer les pics de sons forts.

Station Order (ordre des stations)

Cette option permet de dterminer lordre daffichage des stations DAB (par exemple, alphanumrique).

Radio FM
Appuyer plusieurs fois sur la touche MODE ou utiliser le bouton SCROLL/SELECT (4) pour slectionner le mode Radio
FM. Maintenir les touches

enfonces pour atteindre la prochaine station disponible vers larrire ou vers
lavant sur la bande de frquence FM.
Il est possible de mmoriser des radios sur 10 emplacements (Presets). Pour connatre les tapes permettant de mmoriser des stations et daccder votre liste de stations favorites, se reporter la section Radio Internet de ce
mode demploi.
Rglages supplmentaires

Options de recherche : rgler la sensibilit de la recherche automatique de stations. Une sensibilit plus leve
permettra la dtection de radios au signal plus faibles (grsillements).
Rglages audio : choisir entre mono et stro (dans le cas dune rception plus faible, loption mono peut rduire
les grsillements et permettre une coute plus agrable).

AUX
Brancher un cble audio lentre AUX situe larrire de lappareil pour connecter des sources audio externes du
type lecteur CD, MP3, Smartphone, ordinateur, tablette etc.
Utiliser le dispositif externe comme votre habitude. Augmenter le volume du dispositif externe puis ajuster le volume
de la radio.
Pour slectionner le mode AUX, appuyer plusieurs fois sur la touche MODE ou utiliser le bouton SCROLL/SELECT.

Rveil et minuterie sleep

Le IR-140 dispose de deux rveils indpendants avec option rptition. Pour allumer/rgler le rveil :

Choisir Alarm 1 ou Alarm 2 dans le menu principal ou appuyer sur la touche ALARM de la tlcommande.
Ajuster les paramtres suivants :
Activer : teint, quotidien, une fois, le weekend, les jours de la semaine
Heure : HH:MM
Mode de rveil : sonnerie, radio internet, DAB, FM
Preset : dernire radio coute ou mmorisation 1-10
Volume : 0 32
Pour enregistre et activer le rglage du rveil, naviguer laide du bouton SCROLL/SELECT jusqu la fin du menu
et slectionner SAVE. Les rveils actifs sont affichs dans une icne en bas gauche de lcran.

Minuterie sleep
Appuyer plusieurs fois sur la touche SLEEP pour rgler la dure de la minuterie sleep. Chaque pression ajoute 15 minutes, de 15 min 90 min.
Lappareil steint automatiquement une fois le temps prrgl coul. Les rveils programms restent actifs.

Casque
Une prise casque est disponible larrire de lappareil. Tout casque quip dun cble jack 3,5 mm (casque audio
standard) est compatible. Au moment o un casque est branch, les haut-parleurs sont coups.
Attention: veiller ne pas faire fonctionner lappareil un volume dangereux pour laudition. On shabitue aux volumes levs et les considre ensuite comme normaux, bien quils soient nocifs pour laudition. Lcoute prolonge
volume lev peut causer des pertes daudition durables et dfinitives.

Informations sur le recyclage

Collocazione

Attenzione: non posizionare fonti di fiamme vive sul dispositivo come ad esempio candele.
Posizionare il dispositivo su una superficie asciutta, piana, impermeabile e resistente al calore.

Collegamenti e messa in funzione

Connessione allalimentazione
Inserire lalimentatore incluso nella consegna nella presa e collegarlo allattacco posto sul retro del dispositivo.
Connessione alla rete via cavo
Assicurarsi che il router funzioni correttamente e collegare la radio ad una presa LAN del router utilizzando un cavo
RJ45.
Connessione di rete senza fili
Assicurarsi che il router funzioni correttamente e che sia in funzione. Si raccomanda di installare Wizard (Setup Wizard) per le impostazioni di connessione. Le pareti e altri ostacoli possono interferire con il segnale wireless. Quindi
scegliere un luogo dinstallazione dove anche altri dispositivi (notebook/smartphone ecc.) hanno buona ricezione
WiFi.
Accendere il dispositivo con

Il menu principale appare sul display. Navigare con SCROLL/SELECT (4) tra Internet Radio, Musica Player, DAB, FM,
AUX, Sleep, Alarms e System Settings.

Dal menu principale, selezionare System settings per accedere alle opzioni di impostazione Setup Wizard (Installazione guidata), Equalizer (Equalizzatore), Network (Rete), Language (Lingua) Factory Reset (ripristinare le impostazioni di fabbrica) Software Update (aggiornamento del software) e Info.
Setup Wizard (Installazione guidata)
Selezionare Setup Wizard per limpostazione automatica della connessione WI-FI, della data e dellora. La funzione
non necessaria se si utilizza una connessione di rete tramite cavo.

12/24h Display
Scegliere il formato dellora (24 ore/ 12h) selezionando SCROLL/SELECT (4) e confermare.

Time/Date (ora/data)
Lora e la data vengono aggiornate automaticamente con la ricezione di stazioni FM, DAB o internet (auto update)
ma possono anche essere impostati manualmente.

Auto Update:
Scegliere con SCROLL/SELECT (4) lopzione AutoUpdate da DAB, FM o Network.
Selezionare il fuso orario corretto se laggiornamento automatico avviene via Internet (Germania: GMT + 1).
In Germania necessario attivare anche lopzione Daylight Saving (ora legale).

Impostazione manuale:
Se si sceglie no update (nessun aggiornamento automatico), la procedura guidata di installazione richieder di inserire manualmente la data e lora. La data viene visualizzata nel formato GG-MM-AAAA, lora nel
formato hh:mm.
Le cifre da modificare lampeggiano. Selezionare il valore desiderato con SCROLL/SELECT e confermare.

Rete (Impostazioni di rete)

Il dispositivo compatibile con tutti i principali protocolli di rete e con i metodi di crittografia WPS. In caso di
connessione di rete non criptata, il dispositivo passa automaticamente a questa e non sono necessarie altre impostazioni.

Collegamento ad una rete protetta tradizionale:

Se richiesto immettere la password di rete utilizzando il pulsante SCROLL/SELECT (4).

Connettersi a una rete protetta WPS

Le reti wireless WPS protette sono identificate con un nome: una lista di reti appare sul display. possibile
collegarsi al router in diversi modi:
Push: il dispositivo chiede di premere il tasto di collegamento sul router. La radio effettua la ricerca e poi si
connette automaticamente a questa rete.
Pin: la radio genera un PIN di 8 cifre. Immettere il PIN tramite linterfaccia del browser del router. Consultare il manuale del router per maggiori informazioni.
WPS: inserire la chiave di rete.

Equalizzatore (EQ)
Scegliere tra le impostazioni predefinite Normal, Flat, Jazz, Rock, Movie, Classic, Pop e News oppure impostare a piacimento il suono con le manopole per la regolazione dei bassi, degli alti e del volume.
Network (Rete)

Visualizzare le impostazioni:
Mostra le propriet della connessione di rete corrente (collegamento attivo, lindirizzo MAC, regione WLAN, DHCP,
SSID, indirizzo IP, Subnet Mask, Gateway, DNS (1 e 2)).
Regione WLAN:
Selezionare una regione per una connessione ottimale (Europa, USA, Canada, Spagna, Francia, Giappone, Singapore, Australia, Corea).
Impostazioni manuali:
Stabilire e attivare una connessione con cavo o wireless/disabilitare il DHCP.
Profilo di rete:
Il dispositivo memorizza le ultime quattro reti alle quali ci si connesso. Se necessario, possibile visualizzarle e
cancellarle.

Language (Lingua)
La lingua predefinita del menu linglese. Selezionare la lingua desiderata con SCROLL/ SELECT (4).
Factory Reset
Riportare il dispositivo alle impostazioni di fabbrica. Attenzione: lora, la data e le impostazioni di rete vengono eliminate, cos come tutte le stazioni memorizzate.
Il firmware corrente (il software della radio) non viene cancellato.
Software Update (Aggiornamento software)
Di volta in volta sono disponibili nuovi aggiornamenti software. possibile cercare manualmente gli aggiornamenti
oppure scegliere lopzione di avviso in caso di aggiornamenti software disponili. Se viene trovata una nuova versione
del software, viene richiesto di confermare il download. Il software viene installato automaticamente. Le impostazioni
non vengono cancellate.
Attenzione: non interrompere gli aggiornamenti software staccando la spina o spegnendo il router: ci pu causare
danni al dispositivo, nel peggiore dei casi guasto totale del dispositivo.

Internet Radio
Con lIR-140 possibile ricevere migliaia di stazioni radio di tutto il mondo con una connessione internet a banda larga.
Una volta selezionata lInternet Radio con MODE o SCROLL/SELECT (nel menu principale), e la connessione internet
gi configurata, il dispositivo si connette automaticamente al Frontier Silicon Internet Radio Portal ed esegue il
download di una lista di stazioni.
Lista delle stazioni

Stations (stazioni)
Selezionare le stazioni in base alle diverse categorie: Location, Genre, Popular, New. Il nome e la descrizione della
stazione selezionata viene visualizzato ogni volta. Premere ripetutamente INFO per avere informazioni dettagliate
sul pannello dei comandi o sul telecomando.

Podcast
Selezionare i Podcast per localit (Location) o Genre. Unaltra opzione a disposizione la casella di ricerca: inserire
qui le parole chiave per trovare podcast specifici.

My Favourites (Preferiti)
Visualizzare i preferiti memorizzati online (sul Frontier Silicon Internet Radio Portal) e sono quindi accessibile da
tutte le radio Internet che hanno accesso allaccount dellutente.
Per creare un account sul portale:
Visitare il sito www.wifiradio-frontier.de.
Accedere con il proprio indirizzo e-mail, con una password e con lID radio e il codice di accesso.
La Radio ID si trova qui: Menu principale -> Impostazioni di sistema -> Informazioni
Il codice di accesso disponibile su Internet Radio -> Elenco canali -> Aiuto -> Codice di accesso.
Per salvare una stazione tra i preferiti, tenere premuto SCROLL / SELECT finch sul display appare aggiungere
ai preferiti.

My added Stations (Le mie stazioni)

Anche se sul portale online sono disponibili migliaia di stazioni, pu essere che si desideri ascoltare una determinata stazione non presente nella lista. Cercare la stazione nel portale e aggiungerla alla lista delle stazioni. La lista
si trova quindi su Internet Radio -> Lista stazioni -> Le mie stazioni.

Presets (memorizzazione canali)

I Preset vengono memorizzati nel dispositivo e quindi non sono visibili n accessibili da altri dispositivi. Per memorizzare una stazione in una posizione di memoria, tenere premuto MEMORY fino a quando sul display appare Salva. Selezionare con SCROLL/SELECT (4) la posizione di memorizzazione desiderata e quindi premere SELECT (4). Procedere
nello stesso modo per memorizzare i preset di stazioni radio FM e DAB.

Music Player
Con la funzione Music Player, possibile riprodurre la musica dal computer attraverso la rete locale. Possono essere
riprodotti in streaming MP3, AAC, WMA e FLAC. Per utilizzare questa funzione, il computer deve essere abilitato per
condividere file o materiale multimediale.
LUPnP permette di cercare o filtrare per categoria sul computer musica memorizzata da un dispositivo esterno, come
lIR-140. necessario avere un sistema server adatto, ad esempio un PC con Windows Media Player 10 (o superiore).
Seguire i seguenti passi:
Assicurarsi che il PC e la radio siano collegati e registrati alla stessa rete.
Aprire Windows Media Player e aggiungere i file e le cartelle alla libreria desiderata.
Attivare Media Streaming (Media Library -> Streaming -> Abilita Media Streaming).
Assicurarsi che la radio abbia i diritti di accesso, selezionandola e cliccando su Consenti.

LIR-140 pu eseguire ora lo streaming di contenuti multimediali dal computer. Il servizio UPnP in esecuzione
come un processo in background, in modo che il WMP non debba essere avviato per consentire la riproduzione
multimediale

Per accedere al Music Player, selezionarlo con MODE

oppure con SCROLL/MODE dal menu principale (4).
Dal sottomenu Music Player selezionare Shared Media
e poi un computer con contenuti condivisi dalla lista dei
dispositivi UPnP collegati (se si attivato il Mediastreaming su pi computer).
Il controllo della riproduzione avviene con i tasti tradizionali, la navigazione tramite i tasti freccia (sul telecomando) oppure tramite SC-ROLL/SELECT (4) e BACK
(10) sul pannello anteriore.
Riproduzione USB

Nel sottomenu del Music Player si trova lopzione USB Playback. Selezionare questa opzione per riprodurre contenuti
multimediali da un dispositivo di archiviazione USB collegato al dispositivo (flash drive USB, hard disk portatile, lettore
MP3, ecc). Il controllo e la navigazione avvengono come di consueto con i tasti tradizionali e la navigazione con i tasti
freccia (sul telecomando) oppure tramite SCROLL/SELECT (4) e BACK (10) sul pannello anteriore.
Prune Servers
Talvolta pu essere necessario cancellare dalla lista server non raggiungibili oppure non ricevibili. possibile fare
questa operazione con la funzione Prune Server. Selezionare YES per confermare.
Ripeti/Shuffle
Riprodurre alcuni brani in loop (Repeat) oppure riprodurre le cartelle o le playlist in modalit casuale (Shuffle) selezionando la relativa opzione desiderata con ON.

Radio DAB
Selezionare premendo ripetutamente MODE oppure con SCROLL/SELECT (4) la modalit DAB per ricevere le stazioni
radio digitali.
Ricerca delle stazioni

Quando si accede per la prima volta alla modalit DAB, la lista delle stazioni ancora vuota. Il dispositivo avvia automaticamente una scansione dei canali e visualizza la lista delle stazioni trovate. Se questa lista non completa,
verificare se necessario migliorare la ricezione o se alcune stazioni DAB hanno un tempo limitato di trasmissione
giornaliero.
In questi casi, eseguire una nuova ricerca dei canali, selezionando Manual Tune dal menu DAB.

Selezione e memorizzazione dei canali

Per riprodurre la stazione di vostra scelta, selezionatelo con SCROLL/SELECT (4). Le informazioni sulla stazione e
ulteriori informazioni sul programma possono essere visualizzate sullo schermo cliccando ripetutamente INFO sul
pannello frontale o sul telecomando.
Per memorizzare e accedere alle stazioni procedere nello stesso modo descritto nella sezione Internet Radio.

Altre impostazioni

Prune Invalid
Talvolta pu essere necessario eliminare dalla lista le stazioni non pi raggiungibili o non ricevibili. possibile
eseguire questa operazione con la funzione Prune Invalid. Selezionare YES per confermare.

Ricerca manuale
Selezionare MENU -> Ricerca manuale dei canali. Ruotare SCROLL/SELECT (4) per scorrere la banda di frequenza
DAB.

DRC (Dynamic Range Compression)

La compressione automatica del suono pu essere utile in ambienti rumorosi. Attivare la funzione per eliminare
questi suoni e i suoni particolarmente acuti.

Station Order (elenco delle stazioni)

Con questa opzione, possibile scegliere in quale ordine le stazioni DAB devono essere visualizzate (ad es. alfanumerico).

Radio FM
Selezionare la modalit FM premendo MODE o SCROLL/SELECT. Tenere premuti i tasti freccia per passare alla stazione successiva nella direzione corrispondente. possibile memorizzare le stazioni nelle 10 posizioni di memorizzazione
disponibili (Preset). Procedere nello stesso modo descritto in Internet Radio (pagina 10).
Altre impostazioni

Opzioni di scansione: qui possibile selezionare la sensibilit della ricerca automatica. Impostando la sensibilit
alta, possibile trovare anche un segnale debole (brusio).
Impostazioni audio: possibile scegliere tra mono e stereo (in caso di ricezione debole, lopzione Mono consente
di avere un brusio pi basso e quindi un ascolto di qualit migliore).

AUX
Collegare un lettore esterno o un lettore multimediale (lettore CD/MP3, smartphone, laptop, computer o simili) tramite cavo audio di 3.5mm allingresso AUX dell IR 140. Utilizzare il lettore esterno come di consueto. Assicurarsi che il
volume del lettore esterno sia abbastanza alto.
Selezionare la modalit AUX premendo ripetutamente MODE oppure con SCROLL/SELECT.

Sveglia (Alarm) e Sleep Timer

LIR-140 dotata di due sveglie indipendenti con funzione Snooze. Per impostare la sveglia:

Selezionare ALARM 1 o ALARM 2 dal menu principale oppure premere ALARM sul telecomando. Impostare i seguenti parametri:
Abilita/attivo: Off, tutti i giorni, una volta, nei fine settimana, nei giorni feriali
Ora: HH: MM
Modalit sveglia: Buzzer (beep), Internet Radio, DAB, FM
Preset: ultimo brano ascoltato o Preset 1-10
Volume: 0-32

Per salvare le nuove impostazioni e attivarle, scorrere con SCROLL/SELECT fino alla fine del menu e selezionare
SAVE. Le sveglie attive sono visualizzate come icone nellangolo in basso a sinistra del display.

Sleep-Timer
Premere ripetutamente il tasto SLEEP per impostare il timer di spegnimento (15min - 30min - 45min - 60min - 75min
- 90min).
Una volta impostato il tempo desiderato, il dispositivo si spegne automaticamente e passa in modalit standby. Le
sveglie rimangono attive.

Cuffie
Sul retro del dispositivo si trova la connessione per le cuffie. possibile collegarle al dispositivo con un cavo audio jack
da 3,5 mm. Una volta che le cuffie sono collegate, gli altoparlanti integrati si disattivano.
Attenzione: non impostare un volume troppo alto. Con il tempo ci si pu abituare ad un volume troppo alto e questo
pu essere percepito come normale, ma in realt dannoso per ludito. Lascolto prolungato con le cuffie ad un volume
troppo alto pu causare la perdita permanente delludito

Smaltimento
Se sul prodotto presente la figura a sinistra (il cassonetto dei rifiuti mobile sbarrato), si applica
la direttiva europea 2002/96/CE. Questi prodotti non possono essere smaltiti con i rifiuti normali.
Informarsi sulle disposizioni vigenti in merito alla raccolta separata di dispositivi elettrici ed elettronici. Non smaltire i vecchi dispositivi con i rifiuti domestici. Grazie al corretto smaltimento dei vecchi

Indicaciones para el mando a distancia:

Para controlar el aparato a travs del mando a distancia, orintelo en un ngulo de mximo 30 hacia el sensor de
infrarrojos situado en la parte delantera del aparato (6). El alcance es de aproximadamente 5 metros.
Los obstculos entre ambos elementos pueden provocar un fallo en el funcionamiento.
El mando a distancia incluye una pila tipo
CR2032. Retire primero la capa aislante del
compartimento de la pila. Para sustituir la
pila, siga el siguiente esquema.

Advertencia:

Sustituya la pila por otra del mismo modelo.

Asegrese de que coloca la pila de acuerdo a la polaridad indicada en el esquema.
Retire la pila cuando no utilice el mando a
distancia durante un periodo prolongado
de tiempo y gurdelo en un lugar alejado
de piezas de metal y a ser posible dentro de una bolsa plstica.
Nunca recargue las pilas. Pueden producirse un sobrecalentamiento y reventones, adems de fugas de sustancias
nocivas.
Mantenga las pilas alejadas de fuentes de calor, fuegos y de la luz directa del sol.

Conexiones y puesta en marcha

Conexin elctrica
Conecte el cable de alimentacin a una toma de corriente y a la parte trasera del aparato.
Conexin de red
Asegrese de que el router funciona correctamente y est encendido. Conecte la radio a una conexin LAN de su router por medio de un cable RJ45.
Conexin de red inalmbrica
Asegrese de que el router W-LAN funciona perfectamente y est en funcionamiento. Se recomienda utilizar el asistente de instalacin (Setup Wizard) para la configuracin de la conexin. Las paredes y otros obstculos pueden dificultar la seal WLAN. Seleccione una ubicacin en el que otros dispositivos (porttil, Smartphone) reciban una buena
seal WiFi.
Encienda el aparato pulsando
El men principal aparecer en el display. Elija con SCROLL/SELECT (4) entre el modo radio internet, reproductor de
msica, DAB, FM, AUX, Sleep, alarmas y ajustes del sistema (system settings).
Para realizar todos los ajustes y configurarlos para usos posteriores, seleccione System settings.

Ajustes de sistema (System Settings)

Seleccione en el men principal el punto System Settings para acceder a los ajustes de configuracin Setup Wizard
(asistente de instalacin), Equalizer (ecualizador), Network (red), Language (idioma), Factory Reset (restablecer valores
de fbrica), Sofware Update (actualizacin de software) e Info.
Setup wizard (Einstellungs-Assistent)
Seleccione Setup Wizard para acceder a una configuracin automtica de la conexin WLAN as como para establecer
la hora y la fecha. La funcin no es necesaria si utiliza una conexin por cable.

Mostrar formato 12/24h

Elija un formato de horas (24/12) seleccionando el valor deseado con SCROLL/SELECT (4) y confirmando los cambios.

Time/Date (Fecha/Hora)
La fecha y la hora se actualizan automticamente al recibir emisoras FM, DAB o de internet, pero tambin puede
introducir los valores manualmente.

Auto Update:
Seleccione con SCROLL/SELECT (4) la opcin auto update from DAB, FM or network.
Seleccione la zona horaria correcta en caso de que se produzca una actualizacin automtica por internet
(Espaa: GMT+1).
Para las zonas con horario de verano, deber activar tambin la opcin Daylight Saving).

Ajuste manual:
Si selecciona no update (sin actualizacin), se le indicar que introduzca la hora y la fecha manualmente.
La fecha aparecer en formato DD-MM-AAAA, y la hora en formato hh:mm.
El dgito que debe introducir parpadea. Seleccione el valor deseado con SCROLL/SELECT y confirme los
cambios.

Network (configuracin de red)

El aparato es compatible con todos los protocolos de red usuales y con los mtodos de codificacin WPS. En caso
de una conexin de red sin contrasea, el aparato se conectar a esta automticamente y no necesitar realizar
ninguna otra accin.

Conexin con una red protegida con contrasea:

Se le pedir que introduzca la contrasea de la red. Proceda con ayuda del botn SCROLL/SELECT (4).

Conexin con una red WPS protegida con contrasea

Las redes inalmbricas WPS protegidas con contrasea se identifican con el nombre; la lista correspondiente
de las redes disponibles aparecer en el display. Puede conectarse al router de varias maneras:

Push: debe pulsar el botn de conexin de su router. La radio detecta la red y se conecta automticamente.
Pin: la radio genera un pin de 8 dgitos. Introdzcalo, si fuera posible, a travs de la interfaz del navegador
de su router como aparato autorizado. Consulte el manual de instrucciones de su router para ms informacin acerca de este punto.
WPS: introduzca la clave de la red en la radio.

Equalizer (ecualizador)
Elija entre las configuraciones Normal, Flat, Jazz, Rock, Classic, Pop y News o ajuste una configuracin personalizada
con el regulador de graves, agudos y tono segn sus preferencias.
Network (red)

Mostrar ajustes:
Muestra las propiedades de conexin de la red actual (conexin activa, direccin MAC, regin WLAN, DHCP, SSDIC, direccin IP, mscara de subred, puerto de salida, DNS (1 y 2).
Zona WLAN:
Seleccione una zona para una conexin ptima (Europa, USA, Canad, Espaa, Francia, Japn, Singapur, Australia,
Corea).
Ajustes manuales:
Establezca una conexin por cable o inalmbrica y active/desactive el DHCP.
Perfil de red:
El aparato guarda las ltimas redes a las que se conect. Si no las necesita, tambin podr eliminarlas.

Language (idioma)
El idioma predeterminado de los mens es el ingls. Seleccione otro idioma alternativo con el botn SCROLL/SELECT
(4).
Factory reset (restablecer valores de fbrica)
Restablezca los valores originales de fbrica. Tenga en cuenta que los ajustes de hora, fecha y configuracin de red se
eliminarn, as como las emisoras guardadas.
El firmware actual (el software de la radio) permanecer intacto.
Software Update
Cada cierto tiempo tendr disponibles actualizaciones de software. Puede comprobar si existen nuevas versiones de
manera manual o automtica. Si se detecta una actualizacin, se le preguntar si desea continuar con la misma. Si
acepta, se descargar e instalar dicha actualizacin. Tras el proceso todos los ajustes permanecern intactos.
Advertencia: no interrumpa la actualizacin del software desconectando el aparato o apagando el router. Una interrupcin podra daar el aparato provocando incluso una inutilizacin permanente.
Info
Muestra la versin actual de firmware y el ID de la radio.

Radio de internet
La IR-140 puede recibir miles de emisoras y podcast por medio de una conexin a internet de banda ancha. Cuando
seleccione por primera vez Internet Radio con MODE o SCROLL/SELECT (en el men principal), y exista una conexin
a internet disponible, el aparato se conectar automticamente al portal de radio internet Frontier Silicon para cargar
una lista de emisoras.
Lista de emisoras

Stations (emisoras)
Seleccione las emisoras segn distintas categoras: Location (ubicacin) Genre (gnero), Popular (favoritos), New
(nuevo). El nombre y la descripcin de la emisora seleccionada aparecern en el display. Pulse INFO en la parte
delantera del aparato o en el mando a distancia varias veces para obtener ms informacin.

Podcasts
Seleccione los podcast segn la ubicacin (Location) o gnero (Genre). El campo de bsqueda le ofrece otra posibilidad: introduzca una palabra clave para encontrar podcast especficos.

My favourites (mis favoritos)

Sus favoritos se guardarn online (en el portal para la radio internet de Frontier Silicon) y estarn disponibles para
cualquier radio internet, siempre y cuando acceda desde su cuenta.
Para crear una cuenta en el portal
Visite www.wifiradio-frontier.com
Regstrese con su direccin de correo electrnico, una contrasea y el ID de la radio y su cdigo de acceso.
El ID de la radio lo encontrar en: Menu -> System settins -> Info
El cdigo de acceso est disponible en Internet Radio -> Station list -> HELP -> Access Code
Para guardar una emisora entre los favoritos, mantenga pulsado SCROLL/SELECT hasta que aparezca Added
to favourites en el display.

My Added Stations (Mis emisoras)

Puede encontrar miles de emisoras a travs del portal online, pero es posible que desee escuchar una emisora que
no aparezca en ninguna lista. Busque la emisora en el portal y adala a su lista de emisoras. Vaya a Internet Radio
-> Station list -> My Added Stations.

Presets (memoria de emisoras)

Las emisoras memorizadas se almacenan en el aparato y no estn disponibles en ninguna otra radio. Para guardar
una emisora en un espacio de memoria, mantenga pulsado MEMORY hasta que el display muestre la pantalla de la
memoria. Seleccione con SCROLL/SELECT (4) el espacio de memoria deseado y confirme con SELECT (4). Proceda de
la misma manera para guardar emisoras DAB y FM.

Reproductor de msica
Con la funcin de reproduccin de msica puede transmitir su biblioteca multimedia del ordenador a travs de una
red local. Pueden transmitirse archivos MP3, AAC, WMA y FLAC. Para proceder, autorice la carpeta correspondiente de
su ordenador para su comparticin.
El UPnP le permite buscar o filtrar la msica almacenada en su ordenador por parte de un dispositivo externo, como el
IR-140, siguiendo categoras. El requisito es contar con archivos etiquetados (etiquetas ID3) y un sistema de servidor
apropiado, por ejemplo un PC con la versin 10 o superior del reproductor multimedia de Windows. Siga estos pasos:

Asegrese de que el PC y la radio estn conectados y registrados en la misma red.

Abra el reproductor de Windows y aada los archivos y carpetas a la biblioteca deseada.
Active la transmisin multimedia (Media library -> Streaming -> Activate media streaming).
Asegrese de que la radio cuenta con la autorizacin de acceso haciendo clic en permitir.

El IR-140 solo puede transmitir contenido multimedia desde su ordenador. El servicio UPnP funciona como proceso
en segundo plano, por lo que no ser necesario iniciar el reproductor.

Para acceder al reproductor de msica, seleccione la

Shared Media y a continuacin un ordenador con
contenido compartido de la lista de dispositivos UPnP

Reproduccin de USB
En el submen del reproductor de msica encontrar la opcin USB Playback. Seleccinela para reproducir contenido multimedia en la radio desde un dispositivo de almacenamiento USB (pincho USB, disco duro porttil, reproductor MP3). El control y la navegacin se realizarn a travs de los botones
,
y
, la navegacin con los botones
de direccin del mando a distancia o por medio de SCROLL/SELECT (4) y BACK (10) en la parte delantera del aparato.
Prune Servers
Cada cierto tiempo es necesario eliminar los servidores no disponibles o sin seal de la lista de servidores. Podr
realizar esta accin con la funcin Prune Servers. Seleccione YES para confirmar.
Repeat / Shuffle
Reproduzca determinadas pistas en un bucle de repeticin (Repeat) o reproduzca una carpeta o una lista de reproduccin en orden aleatorio (Shuffle), activando la funcin deseada seleccionando ON.

Radio DAB
Seleccione el modo DAB pulsando varias veces MODE o con el regulador SCROLL/SELECT (4) para recibir estaciones
de radio con seal digital.
Bsqueda de emisoras

Si accede por primera vez al modo DAB, la lista de emisoras estar vaca. El aparato inicia automticamente una
bsqueda de emisoras y le muestra una lista de las disponibles. Si cree que la lista no est completa, compruebe
si puede mejorarse la recepcin o si algunas emisoras DAB tienen una franja de emisin limitada.
Para estos casos, realice una nueva bsqueda seleccionando Manual Tune.

Seleccin y memorizacin de emisoras

Para reproducir una emisora en concreto, seleccinela con SCROLL/SELECT (4). Podr obtener ms informacin
de la emisora y del programa en el display pulsando INFO en el mando a distancia o en la parte delantera del
aparato.
Proceda a guardar y acceder a las emisoras del mismo modo que se detalla en la seccin Radio de internet.

Otros ajustes

Prune Invalid
Cada cierto tiempo es posible que sea necesario eliminar las emisoras sin seal o que no se pueden localizar. Para
hacerlo, acceda a la funcin Prune Invalid. Seleccione YES para confirmar.

Manuelle Sendersuche
Seleccione MENU -> Manual search station. Gire el regulador SCROLL/SELECT (4) para moverse por la banda de
frecuencia DAB.

DRC (Dynamic Range Compression)

La compresin dinmica puede ser til para entornos muy ruidosos. Actvela para que los tonos dbiles suenen
ms altos y los ms altos ms dbiles.

Station Order (Sender-Reihenfolge)

Con esta opcin puede determinar en qu orden deben aparecer las emisoras DAB (p.ej. alfanumrico).

Radio FM
Seleccione un modo FM pulsando varias veces MODE o con SCROLL/SELECT. Mantenga pulsados
o
para
saltar a la siguiente emisora en la direccin correspondiente (moverse por la banda de frecuencia).
Puede almacenar emisoras en los 10 espacios de memoria disponibles (Presets). Para hacerlo, siga los pasos detallados en la seccin Radio de internet (pgina 10).
Otros ajustes

Opciones de escaneado: seleccione la sensibilidad de la bsqueda automtica de emisoras. Si selecciona una

sensibilidad muy alta, se encontrarn emisoras con seal dbil.
Ajustes de audio: elija entre mono o estreo (para recepcin dbil, se recomienda utilizar mono para mejorar la
calidad de la seal).

AUX
Conecte el reproductor multimedia o de msica (reproductor de CD-MP3, smartphone, porttil, ordenador o similar)
por medio de un cable de audio con clavija de 3,5 mm al IR-140.
Utilice el reproductor externo tal y como suele hacer. Asegrese de que el volumen es lo suficientemente alto.
Seleccione el modo AUX pulsando varias veces MODE o con SCROLL/SELECT.

Despertador (alarma) y temporizador de apagado automtico

El IR-140 dispone de dos alarmas independientes con funcin snooze. Para ajustar la alarma:

Seleccione ALARM1 o ALARM2 en el men principal o pulse ALARM en el mando a distancia.

Ajuste los siguientes parmetros:
Enable/Activar: Off, diario, una vez, fin de semana, das de semana.
Hora: HH:MM
Modo despertador: Buzzer (zumbido), radio internet, DAB, FM
Preset: ltima emisora escuchada o Preset 1-10.
Volumen: 0-32
Para guardar y activar la nueva configuracin, vaya al final del men con SCROLL/SELECT y seleccione SAVE. Las
alarmas activas aparecern en la esquina inferior izquierda del display.

Sleep-TImer (temporizador de apagado automtico)

Pulse SLEEP varias veces para ajustar el temporizador. Las opciones para elegir son 15 min 30 min 45 min 60
min- 75 min 90 min.
Tras el tiempo correspondiente, el aparato se apaga automticamente y entra en el modo standby. Las alarmas configuradas permanecen activas.

Auriculares
En la parte trasera del aparato encontrar la conexin para auriculares. Puede conectar unos auriculares con un cable
de audio de 3,5 mm al aparato. El altavoz integrado se apagar.
Advertencia: tome precauciones con el volumen de los auriculares. Tenga en cuenta que el odo se acostumbra rpidamente al volumen alto, lo que puede ser perjudicial. Una utilizacin continuada y a volumen muy alto de los auriculares
puede provocar una prdida de audicin permanente e irreparable.

Indicaciones para la retirada del aparato

Si el aparato lleva adherida la ilustracin de la izquierda (el contenedor de basura tachado) entonces
rige la normativa europea, directiva 2002/96/CE. Este producto no debe arrojarse a un contenedor
de basura comn. Infrmese sobre las leyes territoriales que regulan la recogida separada de aparatos elctricos y electrnicos. Respete las leyes territoriales y no arroje aparatos viejos al cubo de
la basura domstica. Una retirada de aparatos conforme a las leyes contribuye a proteger el medio
ambiente y a las personas a su alrededor frente a posibles consecuencias perjudiciales para la salud.
El reciclaje ayuda a reducir el consumo de materias primas.
