- gives requirements together with Part 1 for conductive
connection of an EV to an a.c. or d.c. supply

- applies only to on-board charging units either tested on the

component level (electronic sub-assembly)

- covers the EMC requirements for electrically propelled


vehicle in any charging mode while connected to the
mains supply

- is not applicable to trolley buses, rail vehicles,


industrial trucks and vehicles designed primarily to be
used off-road

- defines the EMC requirements for any off board components
or equipment of systems that are used to supply or charge EV
with electric power by conductive power transfer, with a
rated input voltage up to 1000 V a.c. or 1500 V d.c. and an
output voltage up to 1000 V a.c. or 1500 V d.c., or by wireless
power transfer

- gives the configuration of the charging equipment

- specifies the load conditions for the off-board charging


equipment and the operating conditions during testing

CISPR/B/603/DC:
Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) – Establishment of a Task Force (TF)
in CISPR/B – Proposed terms of Reference (ToR), plans for 2014
and Call for Experts

- The TF WPT is tasked with providing a work plan for the necessary
supplements of the future edition (Ed.7.0 or Ed.6.1) of CISPR 11 for
power electronic equipment offering Wireless Power Transfer (WPT)

- The TF WPT in CISPR/B is also tasked with proving the CISPR


positions of continued liaison with ITU-R and ITU-T in respect of
compatibility and coexistence of power electronic WPT appliances
with radio and/or wire line communications

CISPR/B/603/DC:
Global tasks

1. Determination of focal points of work for power electronic WPT


equipment during the maintenance cycle for the next edition of
CISPR 11

2. Support of standardization work in TC 69 for WPT equipment for


power supply and charging of electric vehicles (EVs)

3. Focal point for information to ITU-R and ITU-T regarding power


electronic WPT products

The role of ACEC Electromagnetic
Compatibility

Coordination with ACEC continues and in particular

 TC 69 and CISPR/B are represented in ACEC

 A report on EMC activity in the IEC regarding EV is


provided at each ACEC meeting

 TC 69 drafts addressing EMC are reviewed and


commented as per Guide 107 requirements
