Das will-future verwendest du, wenn du zukünftige Versprechen, Vermutungen

oder Vorhersagen ausdrückst.

Will-future
e − Bildung

Das will-future bildest du mit will (Kurzform: ’ll) + Grundform des Verbs.
Diese Form bleibt in allen Personen gleich:
It will rain soon.
We will see.
They will be famous.

Susan will go to a new school next term. Susan wird im nächsten Schuljahr eine neue
Schule besuchen.
Angela will agree. Angela wird zustimmen.

Achtung! Das englische will bedeutet im Deutschen „werden“, wird aber leicht mit
dem deutschen „wollen“ („Ich will ...“) verwechselt.
Merke dir: Ich will ein Eis. = I want an ice cream.
Susan wants to go to a new school next term. Susan will/möchte im nächsten Schuljahr

eine neue Schule besuchen.

Fragen und Verneinungen

Entscheidungsfragen und Fragen mit Fragewörtern bildest du, indem du entweder
will an den Anfang stellst (Entscheidungsfragen) oder das Fragewort + will.
Fragewort will Subjekt Vollverb Objekt
Will it rain tomorrow?
Where will he find the keys?

Um die Verneinung zu bilden, fügst du hinter das will ein not ein (Kurzform: won’t).
Beachte bei der Kurzform won’t, dass sie häufig mit want (wollen) verwechselt
wird.
She will not go. (She won’t go.) Sie wird nicht gehen.
The shop will not open before 9 o’clock.
Der Laden wird nicht vor 9:00 Uhr öffnen.
(The shop won’t open before 9 o’clock.)
It will not work that way.
Es wird so nicht funktionieren.
(It won’t work that way.)

Um zukünftige Pläne oder Vorhaben auszudrücken, verwendest du

das going-to-future.
They are going to move to London.
She is going to visit her grandmother.
Lexi’s mum is going to buy a new car.

Sie haben vor, nach London zu ziehen.
Sie wird ihre Großmutter besuchen. /

Going-to-future
e − Bildung

Das going-to-future bildest du mit einer Form von be + going to + Grundform des
Verbs, z. B.:
I am going to watch a movie.
We are going to fly to America.
He is going to do his homework.

Für Entscheidungsfragen stellst du die Form von be (am, is, are) an den Anfang.
Benötigst du ein Fragewort, steht es vor der Form von be.
