Installation instructions on-board computer for smart for2 type 451

Congratulations on the purchase of our on-board computer for the smart for2.

Installation is relatively easy thanks to our plug & play solution.

In addition, only 3 small solder joints have to be made. An evt. Dismantling is
possible at any time.

Attention

Before installing the on-board computer, please read these instructions in their entirety and
disconnect the battery from the on-board power supply to be on the safe side. To do this,
loosen the screw of the ground cable (brown, thick cable) and lift the cable lug from the
connection pole. Make sure that you do not touch the red positive cable with the mounting
wrench! You will find the battery at the front under the footrest for the front passenger.
Before disconnecting the battery, make sure that you may need to use the radio and other
fixtures for the later restart. need a code.

Tool:

Screwdriver
Drill 2mm + 10mm
Milling machine / Dremel for an 18mm hole
Milling machine / Dremel for a 23mm hole (optional for USB built-in socket)

Side cutters
Soldering iron / solder

1 on-board computer fully assembled

1 grey cover panel
1. Y-speedometer connection cable
2. Cable 20cm with 2pol. Plug
1 cable 20cm with red 8pol. Plug
1. Cable grommet 23mm
2. Cable Ties 3mm

Dismantling the speedometer

Pull out the entire speedometer housing towards the steering wheel with a strong pull
( the speedometer housing is only plugged in ).

Die mitgelieferte USB-Anschlussbuchse kann, muss aber nicht eingebaut werden.

Entweder lassen Sie das Donglekabel z.B. im kleinen Fach neben dem Lenkrad
liegen, oder verbauen die USB-Buchse z.B. im Handschuhfach.

Jetzt alle demontierten Teile wieder

einbauen, sowie die Batterie wieder
anschließen.
Der Bordcomputer ist nun
betriebsbereit

! ! ! ! Achtung ! ! ! !
Jegliche Versuche am Bordcomputer Hardwareänderungen vorzunehmen führen zum
Verlust der Garantie / Gewährleistung. Dazu gehört z.B. auch zusätzliche Taster direkt oder
über Kabel an den Steckkontakten anzulöten. Es dürfen hier nur passende Steckkontakte
verwendet werden. Diese sind z.B. bei uns mit einem ca. 50cm langen Kabel zu beziehen
